John De Bastiani Inc. is a full service Interior Design Firm with offices in Los Angeles and New York. To create successful, decorated rooms, our philosophy is one of good design and practicality with an emphasis on color, scale, texture and a nod to style. Services are tailored to each client’s needs and range from ground up design & build to decorating a single room. Beginning with the initial consultation and design concept right through to the installation, a strong designer client collaboration is highly valued and is felt essential for optimal results. John began his career in his twenties working for one of the country’s leading Fabric Houses. There he gained much knowledge about the importance of quality and design integrity which remain the cornerstones of each of the firm’s interior design projects. Subsequently, his association with Nancy Serafini’s well know Boston firm, was extremely instrumental in launching John as a respected and well known interior designer. Nancy gave John an opportunity to flourish while establishing his own personal decorating style which he defines as “Youthful Traditional”. John’s work has been described as elegant, sophisticated, and understated with clean lines and a calming color palate, yet extremely livable and comfortable. In addition to Los Angeles and New York, John has completed projects in locations as diverse as Boston, Palm Beach, Miami, San Francisco, Maine, Vermont, Cape Cod and North Carolina. John’s work has been featured in many national and local publications including Traditional Home, House Beautiful, Boston Globe Magazine and Boston Spirit. In October of 2004 House Beautiful magazine named John “One of the 25 Next wave of America’s Top Young Designers”
