About Us

Since 2012, Joshua Smith has been transforming spaces for his clients across the country that inspire wellness, joy, and livable beauty. Whether simple or lux, eclectic or tailored, his design concepts are founded on a belief that our homes should be our sanctuaries. Joshua is a graduate of the New York School of Interior Design and an alumnus of Steven Gambrel; an AD100 designer. After just 1 year of launching his own firm he was named a “Rising Star” and “One to Watch” by House Beautiful magazine. Joshua considers not just form and decoration, but the role of an interior. He believes that beauty is a spiritual principle…because it is love expressed. This is the very hallmark of his practice. For him, “A beautiful interior is not just something we see, it is something we experience”. A Joshua Smith interior bridges the connection between personal well-being and a sense of the sacred. He takes a holistic approach to design, helping his clients to align spirit with space. His consciously designed spaces engage the senses, nourishes the soul, and most of all, connects us to the best of ourselves.

Awards

In the fall of 2019, Joshua was one of 50 designers featured in Rizzoli’s book title, On Style: Advice and Inspiration from the Next Generation of Interior Designers. Also featured in House Beautiful, Veranda, and the New York Times.

I finally have a home I adore - it's warm and elegant and calming and that is entirely due to Joshua Smith. It was truly a joy working with Josh and his team. He understood my esthetic and translated it in a gut renovation - on budget and on time.

Working with Josh and his team was a true pleasure from start to finish. They were professional but personable and completed the project punctually. We could not have been more pleased with how our apartment turned out. I look forward to doing future projects with Josh!

We worked with Josh and his team to furnish and decorate several rooms in our home, including the living room, kitchen, sun room and nursery. He brought beautiful ideas to the table and helped us keep within our budget, but more importantly he served as a guide to help us better understand our personal style and needs based on our lifestyle. Now we have a home that not only looks great but feels amazing. Our friends and family love spending time here because they find the spaces so elegant and inviting. We are forever grateful and look forward to working with Josh again in the future.

Working with Joshua was a great experience for my wife and I. He made our project much less stressful than we anticipated. He was always available to help us with all of our questions and concerns. Without him, our house would not be the home it is today.

I hired Josh and his team and was completely amazed by his talent and passion for design. I got one-on-one personalized service from him, which is hard to find these days! Joshua Smith Inc came highly recommended and I can certainly understand why! I wanted to redesign my family room and master bedroom but I was stuck because I didn't know exactly what I wanted. He helped me to realize what I love and feel comfortable with. He was very professional yet at the same time very personable. I discovered things about myself I didn't even know. We were able to stay within my budget and also finished in a reasonable time. I simply love my rooms!
