Joseph Schell Photography

We have hired Joseph to do multiple photo shoots. He has taken the time to understand the aesthetic of our firm and looks for shots that create a feeling to enhance that. He is particularly good at capturing interior spaces and not afraid of including people and pets in the images. Plus he is a pleasure to work with.

I have hired Joseph to photo several projects over the past 6-7 years. Joe typically surveys the site and gives me an estimate to do the project. He is generally flexible with the budget and timing to get the job done within my limitations. He is very thorough, typically taking many more photos (sometimes hundreds) than requested to get the perfect shots. He takes direction well however I am often surprised with the creative approach and composition. Joe listens carefully, has a great intuitive sense for what is needed and will also consider the perspective of the target client to develop the composition and attitude. The photos are used for my on-line portfolio enabling me to present specifically relevant images to clients. My clients are architects with whom I collaborate, providing environmental graphics and signage to their clients: educational institutions, municipalities and retailers.

Joseph is a fantastic photographer and the best at capturing people in architectural settings. He has a thorough understanding of showing off a space by connecting the user. I have been very happy using Joseph to document my work and capture the details that make a project truly a home. I also appreciate the attention Joe puts into understanding what parts of a project are important to me and making sure I have all the shots that I need. In addition to being efficient and effective, he has a great eye and is a pleasure to work with.

Joseph has photographed three of my building projects. In addition to providing very high quality photos, I always appreciate his unique perspective and eye for detail. He is also efficient, creative, productive and reliable - very important qualities when we are on deadline.
