You can be sure you'll get excellent results with Kelly (and we certainly did) just by looking at her portfolio, but that's only half the equation. What makes Kelly standout is that she is completely transparent, always had what's best for us in mind and was genuinely just fun to work with! We did a significant redesign of our midcentury home with Kelly, including furniture and finishes for multiple rooms and a custom builtin cabinet. The entire process was great since Kelly structures her work in a way that helped us figure out what style we wanted. We wanted her to push us out of our design/style comfort zone, and she did that in a way that turned out perfectly and uniquely us. Before selecting any items, we came up with a budget spreadsheet to make sure we stayed on budget (which we, mostly, did!). She worked with us to figure out what items we wanted to splurge on and what we wanted to save on, finding one-of-a-kind pieces for our high end items and quality budget alternatives for those that mattered less to us. The highlight of the work was the builtin cabinet. She designed it from ground up, including a 3D CAD for us to see how it would look before we installed it. When we got bids from multiple carpenters, she helped us work through finding the best fit for our budget while still ensuring that the quality would meet her high bar. The result is incredible, and it fully transformed our space. I would not hesitate to recommend Kelly to anyone looking for an interior designer.

We cannot recommend Kelly highly enough. She was our interior designer throughout a complete gut remodel of our home, and she remained an invaluable partner all the way through the final furnishing and styling stages. What sets Kelly apart is her impeccable taste and extraordinary attention to detail. She has an incredible ability to see how every element - from major architectural decisions to the smallest finishing touches - fits together into a cohesive, beautiful home. Time and again, she caught details that we would have missed and consistently pushed for solutions that elevated the final result. Kelly is also deeply committed to getting things right. She never settled for “good enough” and was always willing to spend the extra time and effort necessary to ensure every decision, material, and furnishing felt intentional and well-considered. Perhaps most importantly, she struck the perfect balance between listening and leading. She took the time to understand how we wanted to live in the space and genuinely incorporated our preferences and feedback throughout the process. At the same time, she wasn’t afraid to have an opinion which we valued that tremendously. Her guidance gave us confidence when making difficult decisions, and her expertise consistently led us toward better outcomes than we would have achieved on our own. The end result is a home that feels both beautiful and deeply personal. We are thrilled with how everything turned out and are incredibly grateful to have worked with Kelly. We would enthusiastically recommend her to anyone undertaking a renovation, remodel, or furnishing project.

We worked with Kelly in 2024-2025 on a full-home remodel, and it was a wonderful experience! She helped us redesign every major space in our home, including the kitchen, dining room, living room (with a new fireplace), master bedroom, and master bathroom, as well as reworking the overall layout and selecting lighting throughout the entire house. From start to finish, Kelly was incredibly professional and responsive. She was always quick to reply to emails or hop on a call when needed. She has an amazing eye for design. She has a distinct, elegant, sophisticated aesthetic (that I loved for our home), but she’s also very flexible and collaborative. She listened to what we wanted and translated that into cohesive, thoughtful design choices that felt like “us." She was excellent at sourcing finishes and fixtures, and always provided a curated set of options at different price points, which made decision-making much easy and helped keep the project moving efficiently. She also came with an amazing network of trusted vendors and specialists; she was able to help with an electrician, custom window coverings, tile and countertop showrooms, rugs, furniture, lighting, and even custom stained glass. We didn't take her up on all of these given our budget constraints, but I would have trusted that anyone she recommended would have been great. When we spent time together shopping in the San Francisco Design District, it was productive and fun. Kelly is incredibly efficient and kept the process enjoyable. I would highly recommend her for any project, especially if you’re looking to design a space from top to bottom. She brings creativity, organization, and a great sense of partnership to the entire process.

We just worked with Kelly for the second time, decorating a new home that we moved into last summer. I can't recommend Kelly highly enough!!! She is a true artist and, even though we are no longer local and she never saw our space in person, she spent time working with us to really understand our needs and style, and, using that, was able to pick furniture and finishings that made our house into the most beautiful home. Her aesthetic leans towards warm and grounding, cozy but modern, with rich, deep colors. She helped us manage our budget, kept track of all expenses and shipping information, and overall made the experience fun and rewarding. She is an absolute pleasure to work with and will always be our go-to for any design questions!

We were so lucky that we got to work with Kelly with decorating our 1 bedroom apartment! We talked to a few different interior designers/group but ultimately went with Kelly because she was friendly, professional, had a very calm vibe, and was very direct and transparent with her process/pricing. Throughout our year of working together, Kelly was communicative, reliable, and fun to work with. She quickly figured out our style and gave us a lot of unique decor options that we never would have thought of or come across that - making our apartment feel like “us” but also feeling special at the same time. Notably, we had a closet that we wanted to turn into a home office area and she designed the entire layout to include a standing desk, sliding doors, and plenty of storage - it turned out to be both beautiful and functional! We would highly recommend working with Kelly if you get the chance and we hope to work with her again when we get a bigger place!

It was such a joy to work with Kelly from start to finish on our home this past year!! She helped us with our two living spaces and our dining room. We both learned so much from her while going through the process of turning our house into a space that reflected both of us. I felt every piece we purchased truly fit together, and I love how everything looks together! This is the first time we had used an interior designer, and we both couldn't be happier with the result. She took the time to learn our aesthetic, and was patient with us as we worked through finding out what we wanted to move forward with. She made sure to understand what we were looking for, and helped us purchase both functional and fun pieces. She was always upfront about cost, and always responded to our messages in a timely fashion. When needed, she would always make time to come over to our place, or if needed, meet at furniture stores to help us get a feel of different things. I feel sad that our project is now coming to an end, but I know that I will reach out for her help again in the future!

Kelly is creative and a great communicator. She worked with our budget, and we couldn't be happier with the outcome of our design project.

We had been meaning to overhaul our "vintage" 1972 wreak of a bathroom for years. In the middle of the pandemic, masks on, we met Kelly for our first time, as she sketched out what our bathroom could look like-- and we were amazed at her understanding of the limitations of our situation-- we live in a historic landmark-- and at her ability to do the impossible-- design a modern bathroom that would still reference the beauty of the original 1940 design that had been ruined when our housing complex first went condo and people in the 1970s ran amok. From the first sketches to the final design, Kelly was a dream to work with. She is talented, sure, but also calm, funny, kind, and between Kelly and her head contractor, Tal, we worked with people who we would want to hang out with, let alone design and construct a new beautiful bathroom. If you are lucky enough to work with Kelly, (and her recommended contractor, Tal), you will be in phenomenal hands. We hit some glitches along the way because of the whole historic building nature of the project, and through it all, they and their people were amazing. We could not be happier with how the bathroom looks-- it is gorgeous. And let me be clear, here. It is gorgeous because of Kelly and her aesthetic sense. NOT because of my husband and me. She is fantastic.

Kelly was great, from beginning to end. I was hesitant to start remodeling my bathroom and she gently got the project rolling. She listened closely to what I wanted and she offered her suggestions. She dealt with the contractor and ordered the items for the project, both of which I would have had difficulties doing. When there was an issue with the tile that had been delivered, she handled the problem with finesse. She worked well with the contractor. I know that he liked her which helped the project move smoothly. She stayed within my budget and we were able to talk about that budget. She was professional throughout.

When my wife and I chose to renovate our kitchen and living room, we knew we wanted a design that was distinct, timeless, functional, and derived from a holistic vision. Enter Kelly Martin. We found her work on Houzz, which spoke to us because of its atypical use of colors and textures. The beginning of our design process was during the "All White Kitchen" era, a look which we quickly became allergic to. Instead, we challenged Kelly with designing a space that felt organic in both materials and aesthetic, bringing elements of nature into the space...all while keeping "function" as the anchor point. Kelly's vision took us in a completely unexpected direction, and we couldn't be happier. Kelly's innovative design solutions led to a space that is equal parts fantastic and unique, and absolutely jam-packed with storage. It's perfect. We loved working with Kelly! She is organized and responsive and has the best eye! We needed a refresh of our interior - new paint, furniture, rugs etc. She started with a vision and brought it all the way through, using color, texture and a simple but elegant vibe to pull everything together.
