Kenny started building our custom home in January of 2021 shortly after we closed on our construction loan in December. The delays began to build as the months went on, eventually reaching points of several weeks or even months with no signs of progress and no communication. Quality control fell on us and we had to be hands on to ensure even the basics were correct. The final walk through finally occurred in March of 2023, 27 months after construction began and 14 months over the contracted time. What was presented to me as the finished product was riddled with embarrassing workmanship issues that are too long to list, but included using cardboard to shim door hinges in a failed attempt to have a door close properly. Half hearted attempts to correct the issues were made, but many issues remain and continue to come to light. On top of everything, budget overages of tens of thousands of dollars that went back to the early stages of the project were communicated to me at closing despite reassurances along the way that it would be completed for the contracted price. Overall an unfortunate experience that I hope others can avoid.
