I just had Ervis come into my place today to help with a breaker box that was buzzing loudly in a 100+ year old home. He took the time to dissect the problem, explain to me what the issues could be, replace some faulty parts and we were up and running better than it was before. No more tripping breakers! He was on time, courteous, friendly, and honest. The pricing was more than fair for the time and work he put in. He also swapped out a loose outlet and light switch for me that were acting up as well. I highly recommend Ervis and the team and Kuhlman.

These guys are fabulous. From Jesse the owner who recorded precisely what work needed to be done, the lovely Nicole and Paula who graciously coordinated everything, to Brendan, Mike, Sean and Danny who completed all the work in 2 days. I consider myself blessed to have found them. Attention to detail is truly what they’re all about. Showed up on time and cleaned up when finished. Price was very reasonable. Very pleasant people and a great company.

I am one of four condo owners in an old Victorian. After discovering that a few circuits in unit 4 was wired to my Electrical circuit box, I called Jesse to come and take a look. He and his Dad carefully went through the entire house and teased out which circuits belonged to which units and fixed the entire mess that the original incompetent electrician created. They both were ultra respectful, professional, personable and knowledgeable......not to mention punctual. I highly recommend Jesse and his crew at Kuhlman.

I needed my electrical service upgraded from 100 Amp to 200 Amp and I needed electrical service run in my garage. I called Kuhlman Electrical Service for an estimate. Jesse came to my house to evaluate my needs and sent me an estimate the next day. Jesse was very polite and professional and he gave me a fair price for the work that needed to be performed. I am always a little leery when I have people other than myself do work to my house because I am so fussy. Jesse scheduled an appointment to do the work and on that day he showed up with Brian and Dan. I stayed and watched to see what kind of work they would do. They used all top quality materials and were very fussy about leveling everything and making the work look neat and professional. I am not shy about telling someone if I don’t like the way they are doing something, but surprisingly, I didn’t have to say anything because they did such a great job. I was so happy with the job that Kuhlman Electrical Service did on my electrical upgrade, I had Brian and Dan come back two months later to run CAT6 Ethernet and COAX Cable from my basement to the first and second floor of my house. Brian and Dan were crawling in my attic, drilling holes in the walls and pulling the wires to my basement. After they pulled the wires, they cleaned everything up and you would never even know they were there. I was once again happy with the quality of workmanship and their professionalism. I now have my house wired for internet and have much better TV reception because I was able to get rid of eight splitters by running the COAX Cable from each room directly to the basement. Thank-you Jesse, Brian and Dan for a great job, I wouldn’t hesitate to call you again when I need help.

We purchased a very nice but outdated house a little over 3 years ago and have been slowly remodeling and updating it. I found Kuhlman Electric on Yelp and based on the great reviews I contacted them. Jesse actually answered the phone... something that doesn't always happen in the service industry. He came by the same day and readily gave me a quote for the work we needed done. Since then Jesse has done a bunch of jobs for us. They have done a variety of jobs including replacing and updating outlets and outlet covers, installing tvs, flood lights, motions lights, an additional electric panel box, recessed lighting, and the list goes on. Everytime I contact Jesse he is extremely responsive, he's quick to get us on the schedule and he sticks to his quotes. Jesse always shows up at the beginning of the job to get the guys going and always checks in when done. The crew are clean and courteous. I would highly recommend Jesse and Kuhlman Electric.

I was looking for a company to install a few light fixtures/fans in my new condo. After Jesse came over for an estimate, it was clear I had found the company I wanted to work with! He was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional (with some electricians you get back-of-envelope estimates...Jesse provided a clear invoice with all costs itemized, which I appreciated not knowing much about electrical work or what to expect). And his prices were very competitive! The installation itself went smoothly and I'm very happy with the end result. I will be looking to change out a few more light fixtures in my place as I continue to settle in, and there is no doubt in my mind that I will be contacting Kuhlman Electrical for the job! Side note: They have since also made house calls for other electrical issues (unrelated to their work), and displayed the same promptness and professionalism even for small jobs. Highly recommended!

I've had the pleasure of working with Kuhlman Electrical Services for over 15 years. This operation is top-notch. Their team of guys are knowledgeable, thoughtful and focused entirely on customer service. As a designer, I have the opportunity to work with many different contractors and sub-contractors in our projects. The Kuhlman team is always fully engaged in every project, small or large. They clearly want and intend to do the job right. They'll ask the important questions and make mindful suggestions on how to do something better. And, while all these qualities are important -- the most important to our company and our clients is that they always remember they are working in someone's home.

I recently bought a house that had old knob and tube wiring. The first thing I wanted to do was get it replaced, which is a major undertaking. It's an old, two family house with sections that were added on later, and piecemeal electrical upgrades that were done throughout the years. It was a daunting task in so many ways. Even worse, I was hoping to live in it while the work was being done! But the owner, Jesse, came out personally, spent time going over every part of the house and discussing options - re-doing all of the wiring vs just replacing the knob and tube stuff, how they were going to do it, some thoughts on how I might want to lay out new outlets, switches, circuit panels, everything. It was a refreshing change from the other electricians who just wanted to dictate exactly what needed to be done and run up a big unnecessary bill for things I didn't want. He presented me with options, and I selected one and we went from there. Then, there was the work itself. Absolutely phenomenal. Like I said, there were a ton of details, and they nailed it. They kept notes on what I wanted and did it right the first time, they rolled with the punches when I changed my mind on details halfway through the job, they asked questions on my preferences and offered sage advice. The attention to detail, especially the little things, like minimizing the disruptions from re-wiring and keeping the damage to walls to a minimum, went so far beyond what I was thought was possible. I was expecting to be totally without power while they re-did all the wiring, but no, they were able to keep our power on pretty much the entire time. Besides just doing a great job, they were also on time, they did the job right the first time, they finished when they said they would. All told, they ended up inspecting and replacing almost all of the electrical in the house, which is exactly what I asked for. All the outlets, now properly grounded. Most of the lights replaced with energy efficient LEDs that won't need a bulb replaced for decades. New circuit breaker panels instead of the old fuse boxes. Even had a couple of electric baseboard heaters installed. At the end of the day, I'm incredibly satisfied and happy with the work they did. These guys are true professionals in every sense of the word.
