Kim is very easy to work with and has great ideas for layouts, cabinetry and tile work. We worked together for our new home and she helped us put together all the bathroom tile designs, as well as a design for our kitchen. She even helped us choose the final color on our new home and couldn't be happier.

Kim is a true professional. She handled every step of the design process with great attention to detail. Her specialty is cabinetry and ours turned out beautifully! Kim’s recommendations for countertops, tile, plumbing fixtures, and lighting were superb! We could not be happier with Kim, she created the Master Bath of our dreams!!

I loved working with Kim. She has great taste and our home came together beautifully. When I originally hired her I told her that I wanted to be taken out of my traditional design comfort zone, but not too far out on the limb. She was great in all her suggestions. She listened to me and explained her suggestions when I had a question, explained her reasoning and almost always, her suggestions were correct. I had two of my best friends come over recently to see the house. They were amazed at the house and how it was transformed. I would recommend Kim again, in fact we are still working together to pull the final pieces together.

I changed things thru the process, not because of anything she did or didn't do, but just as new ideas would come up from others I'd talked to, Pinterest, etc. Kim was also great at referring me to vendors for cabinets, flooring, etc. People who I felt I could trust as she was putting her 'stamp of approval' on them. I am an architect in the St. Louis area. I've worked with Kim at KM Designs on several large kitchen projects. Some of these projects also included cabinetry for master baths, mudrooms and bar areas. Typically, I'll design a schematic kitchen or master bath cabinet layout in the beginning stages of the project. Kim then comes in to work closely with the owner to understand how best to design their cabinetry to meet the clients needs and budget. She also coordinates with me as the project evolves so that her cabinetry designs and details compliment my architectural design. She is also great with altering her design in the final stages of the project as beams or soffits are enlarged to accommodate duct work or plumbing. My most recent project with her is listed on my Houzz site as "Extensive Renovations in Clayton". The project was cabinet intensive and Kim pulled it off beautifully. What a wonderful experience to work with Kim Matthews! We hired Kim to design the kitchen of our custom home build. Kim perfectly captured our style and gave us a highly functional design that allows us to enjoy our family and guests whether we're cooking for two or twenty. With more than ample storage, expansive counter and prep space, and an island made for gathering and dining, Kim turned our dream into a beautiful reality. Kim was wonderful to work with. She was able to take my ideas and put them into a practical, functional design. We were renovating an existing kitchen and what she created is so much more efficient! We now have a ton of storage space and couldn't be more pleased with the design. Kim was receptive to our changes and was easy to work with throughout the entire process.

Kim did an excellent job designing our master bathroom remodel. We had plenty of space but a rather plain design from our builder that we lived with for a while. Kim drew up a plan that used the space very well and we created a much more elegant look. She has an excellent eye for detail, very efficient, conscientious, timely, and aware of the budget.
