7 years ago Komandor made 2 large closets and a kitchen island for us. We have been extremely satisfied with the work but about 2 weeks ago I called Komandor since the sliding doors of the closet were not running smoothly. I spoke with Robert from their service dept, and he sent the next day 2 people to fix the issue to our satisfaction. On top, I was not charged for the service. All this after 7 years that they had installed the closets. I cannot think of any company I have dealt with to give such an exceptional service. Overall, my experience with Komandor was satisfactory. The installer was excellent but the designer was not. My experience with the installer, Daniel, was stellar. He made sure that everything was completed correctly. Daniel and his coworker did a wonderful job removing the old doors, patching the holes, and installing the new doors and shelving. I was supposed to remove these items before they arrived, but I forgot to do so. Komandor was nice enough to waive the charge for this. I accepted full responsibility for the error, and made sure that I corrected the situation appropriately with the installer. Kudos to Daniel and his partner for going the extra mile. It was very much appreciated. My experience with the designer, Louise, was fine until I decided to make a change, which she misunderstood. Despite the fact that I emailed her and had a telephone conversation about the change, the final plans for the closets didn’t accurately reflect the desired change. Luckily, Daniel was able to make part of the desired change happen. However, the end product is still not exactly what was expected. After expressing my concerns to Louise, she didn’t take responsibility for her error. I felt that my concerns were brushed off. Considering I payed $11K for three closets, I feel that someone from Komandor should have taken the time to correct the situation in some way. After reaching out to her post-installation, I received no reply whatsoever. Leaving a customer with no resolution is unacceptable. I’m not sure how Komandor can allow designers to ignore the concerns of customers. In general, I’m happy with the quality of the product and the quality of the work. I’d highly recommend Daniel because of the outstanding job he did, and his ability to make changes and adapt the design to what was excepted. I’d recommend Komandor to anyone who wishes to spend a bit more money for a better quality custom product, but I’d definitely opt for a different designer. I feel that designers, especially senior designers, should be much more thorough and detail-oriented. A mistake like this should not happen when you pay a premium price.

I have used Komandor Closets and Doors on several of my projects over the last few years. I am always very pleased with the results and performance of the product. I would definitely recommend their doors and closet interiors to any of my clients. I have worked with Louise over the years and she is a knowledgeable and pleasant to work with.

I had 3 large bedroom closet doors and a linen closet door replaced, after visiting their showroom it was a very easy process from ordering to installation. Every member of staff I dealt with were very professional,knowledgeable and pleasant. The new doors have improved the appearance of the bedrooms 100%, am etremely satisfied with the quality and cost.

Josee at Komander is wonderful. Not only does she have brilliant & sensible ideas, she is always respectful one's budget. What i find most impressive is the engineering behind their products. I tell anyone (client, friend, family) to call Josee if dealing with storage space is on their radar.

Over the years, we have had many projects and renovations that have required us to work with suppliers, designers, and service. Our experience at Komandor has been one of the best. From the start, Gabriel tried to accommodate my schedule, he was extremely professional and pleasant to work with, and he had great design ideas. Paul and another gentleman installed the murphy bed and wall unit--they were extremely respectful, efficient, and they cleaned up wonderfully. Projects can be stressful but there was none of that with this company--the experience was so good that I was compelled to write something.

What a joy it has been to deal with this company. First of all the professionalism of Gabriel, my sales person whom I found fro Houzz and sent in a request via their web site. Within 24 hours they responded and had assigned me a sales representative named Gabriel. The price was far more competitive than other "franchised" companies ,they came in on schedule and on budget and the workmanship is impressive. I have used other closest companies in the past with less than satisfactory results, at much more money. This company is a winner in terms of quality of product; product selection (we went contemporary), professional behavior and compared to so many other companies, they gave me a scheduled date for install and completion and were right on. Polish manufactured but customized here in Toronto. Very impressed and would definitely use them again and would have had them do my kitchen if I had done my research on Houzz earlier.

This firm was recommended by our decorators, Toronto Condo Staging and Design Inc. We met them at their showroom - what a great place. We contracted them to do the walk-in closet in our master bedroom, our front hall closet, and the closet in our office/den. Lastly, we asked them for a creative solution to divide our main bathroom, which contains the utility/laundry facilities. They came up with a very attractive, floor-to-ceiling sliding door with opaque sections and wood-like panels. The office/den closet was done to include shelving, which could be converted to hanging if necessary, and a two-drawer filing cabinet. It all looks wonderful. And they worked well with our decorator and within our budget.
