What can I say about KRM/Tanzanite? My wife and I started the home building process about 11 or 12 months ago and looked at several builders around the Des Moines area. While others were great we decided to move forward with KRM to build our new home. This was initially due to their willingness to work with us to get a complete understanding of what we wanted before ever taking a step. Additionally, they had an easy to follow process and the BuilderTrend app that allowed us to see the progress of our house each step along the way. Fast forward to a week out from our close date and the decision to go with them turns out to be one of the best decisions my wife and I have ever made. After we had met with a few of the folks and decided on our floor plan and interior selections, we were invited to "dig day" where we were able to actually break the ground and snap a picture before the build got underway. A small touch but we thought it was the coolest thing for them to take the effort of involving us in this process. As the build started, we were kept up to date constantly. Not only through the BuilderTrend App which was AMAZING but also through communication from the job supervisor and foreman. They would routinely call with updates that were taking place in addition to frequently uploading pictures and videos to send to us. The build went smoothly and we're closing in on our moving day next week. As with any large project, there were a couple very minor hiccups in our process but they were usually solved before we could even bring it to their attention. Their attention to detail in getting every square inch of our home just how we want it is truly astonishing. A few shout outs to the team that helped us along the way... Dave originally helped us draw our blueprints what felt like 25 times as we continued to change things around. Not only was this done happily but we also appreciated his guidance and expertise as to what he recommended or what they were doing with other houses. K'Lissa spent time with us on our interior selections and made this process so much fun for us. Her personality and professionalism made this process a total breeze and allowed us to take our time and make sure we were confident in what we were selecting. We LOVE how everything turned out which she was a big part of. She rocks! Our build team consisted of Rich, Joe and Kyle and they have all been outstanding. As mentioned above, their communication throughout the build was second to none. They were friendly, accommodating and bent over backwards to make sure the house was perfect and ready for move in day. I struggle to recall a product/service I have used over the past 20 years where I've been satisfied and confident in the decision. The entire team at KRM, in addition to those above, has made our building process fun, enjoyable, and stress free. Their communication and commitment to over delivering on each and every aspect blew us away.

Never will I ever refer KRM to anyone. The only positive comments I can think to share: (1) the staff who helped me pick out cabinets, light fixtures, etc. were warm and knowledgeable; (2) our project manager was very kind and tried so hard to make the project right; and (3) see 1 and 2. Issues that arose...light fixtures falling from the ceiling, leaking shower, crooked tiles and trim, broken toilet seat, uneven flooring, cardboard used to even flooring, cheap vent covers, questioned my complaints and dismissed most of them. I eventually hired another company who fixed everything to perfection and who I have recently used for a full basement remodel. I was happy to write them a check!

We constructed a custom house with KRM Development LLC. Kirk, Audrey, Rich are amazing to work with. Kirk paid very close attention to all our requirements (including vaastu), prior to creating floor plans. Once we agreed on the floor plan and the price, the entire process went by very smoothly. The project was delivered on time, and on budget. KRM involved us in every stage of the construction process. Audrey and Rich helped us pick wooden floors, stone colors, lighting fixtures and faucets that go very well with the interior colors. Audrey, went on a shopping sphere to find us ceiling fans that will work well with rest of our choices. Everyone at KRM was extremely patient with us. As first time home buyers, we had lot of questions and concerns. All our questions and concerns were answered/resolved in a timely manner. Rich is amazing to work with. He met with us multiple times to walk us thru various stages of the construction process. We really had such an amazing experience that, after closing the house, we missed seeing Rich and Audrey. We really made some good friends at KRM, and if we ever have to build another home, KRM will be our only choice.

KRM was absolutely wondeful to work with. Building a new home can be one of the most stressful undertakings, but Kirk, Rich, Audrey, Brandon and countless others at KRM made the process so smooth and effortless...it was actually enjoyable! They were extremely prompt at delivering updates, completing tasks and repairs, and we felt like we were in good hands from start to finish. Subcontractors were all top-notch and the quality of their work sets them apart from the competition. We underwent this process with three young children under the age of 6....and all 5 of us would agree that the final product exceeded our expectations. The projected build-time and the pricing estimates were fair and transparent. Kirk met with us personally throughout the process to reassure us that everything was going well and to make sure we were comfortable with every step along the way. Truly a great experience from start to finish, we would build with KRM again without any hesitation!

Our building experience with KRM was outstanding. We met with them after seeing one of their model homes and then sat down to see about customizing it. Everything was straight-forward, professional, and very well communicated. We loved how they would sit down with us and go over our plans and budgets, and then show us options that allowed us to meet our goals. If we had questions, they would offer suggestions, or put us in touch with someone that could assist us. Once the plans were in place, the building process was very slick since they used an online tool to help communicate our choices and selections with the work crews. We could keep track of progress and felt welcome to ask questions, visit the job site and the crew was fantastic about getting back to you if you ever needed them. Would definitely recommend KRM to others, and if we ever build another house, I will be using KRM again!

We built a house with KRM. We were happy with the help we received in the process. Audrey was very helpful and patience assisting us to pick out colors, finishes, etc. When problems did arise, they were always handled quickly and professionally. We were really happy with the finished house. Also, thanks to Rich for all his help.

Everything went about as smoothly as possible throughout the building process. We are very happy with the finished project and when something covered under warranty has needed work they have been quick to get moving on the fix.

KRM Development, LLC constructed our new residence. The house was completed in a very timely manner. Overall quality is good because construction workers were experienced. The project was enjoyable because all the company personnel were timely in their responses to questions and very helpful in the house design and selection process. We would not hesitate to use KRM Development, LLC again.

KRM delivered a customized high quality home. They use high quality products and reputable contractors. Staff goes the extra effort to make sure their clients get what they want and like what they get. All concerns, questions, and issues were resolved quickly and professionally. I would recommend their company.

We have built two homes with two different builders. The process with KRM Development far exceeded our first experience. The team was a pleasure to work with. They listened to our needs, including our budget, and worked with us to build a high quality house that was friendly to the budget that we had provided. Every meeting we had with Audrey was low stress as she did an excellent job of hearing us out and pulling different things together to make sure my wife and I were on the same page. She was very clear with what was included in the price and what would be more. From a project management perspective Brandon was on top of it. He kept the subcontractors on task working to complete our house in just under 4 months. No corners were cut and when mistakes were made, and they will happen, KRM was quick to make it right. The team was able to take photos that we had found on houzz.com and make them come together in our home. Our home is functional, warm, and just what we wanted for our family. Building a home can be stressful, but the team that we worked with in Kirk, Brandon, and Audrey eliminated the worries. You hear the stories of being left out to dry once the build is done. This was not the case with KRM. They were responsive after the build was complete and held true to their 90 day check up fixing the things that we had missed during the walk through. Our money was well spent on craftsmanship and service.
