I love my home in large part due to Lauren's help and advice. Over the last ten years, we have remodeled virtually every space in our home. I know how I want my home to look and feel and Lauren can help choose the elements that work well together, meet our functional needs and are in budget. Our first project was our kitchen/dining/mudroom full remodel. There were so many questions from our contractor such as "do you want a schluter strip at the end of the tile run?" or "which edge profile for the quartz counters?" and I could rely on Lauren for a quick decision that kept the project moving and was always the right call. Not long after, we replaced the hard wood floors in the rest of our home. Lauren advised on the stain color narrowing it down to 4 or 5 options that fit with our aesthetic and would be somewhat timeless. On my own, I probably would have chosen something lighter which would have been an expensive mistake that would have annoyed me everyday! Lauren helped me re-do my bedroom, listening to how I wanted my room to feel and putting together a design board with different looks. I wasn't finding furniture I liked in local stores, so Lauren sourced items for me including the bed, a fabulous dresser, and area rug. Because of Covid supply chain delays, she had them held for me until all pieces were in. Then she arranged and oversaw the delivery and set-up. It came out beautifully and is the space of respite I had envisioned. Recently, I bought a new sectional for my family room. Lauren came to help pick a paint color that coordinated with the new furniture. Again, she made narrowing down the myriad choices of 'white/cream' paint simple for me. Then she helped choose new shades for the vintage lamps I had purchased. Over the years, Lauren has helped me choose paint, sinks, drawer pulls, bath fixtures, rugs, carpet, floor tile, wall tile, lighting, case goods, lamps, and upholstered furniture. The absolute favorite choice she helped me with was the wallpaper for a new half bath. I could have spent hours looking through wallpaper books! Once again, Lauren selected about a dozen choices that differed in color, style and boldness but all would have worked in the space and fit with the style of adjacent spaces. I love the choice we made and I'm so excited when guests use the bath and comment on the fabulous wallpaper. In short, Lauren listens, is willing to tell me when something isn't a good choice, saves me time by narrowing options, saves me money by avoiding mistakes, is very collaborative with contractors, and is a delight to work with. My home feels cohesive, warm, restful, and timeless thanks to Lauren. I recommend her most highly.

Lauren was a joy to work with. She helped redesign our entire first floor including our kitchen and three unique living spaces. She listened to our need for function with two small children, while balancing that with a timeless aesthetic we were hoping for. She connected us with talented, professional contractors for multiple parts of the renovation, while making the communication process seamless. Lauren found creative solutions for our budget when necessary and always heard our feedback and requests with supportive responses. We have recommended Lauren to several friends and neighbors and look forward to working with her again on future projects.

Lauren was an absolute dream to work with. She helped us design a primary suite addition that included a bedroom, bathroom, and laundry room, and I truly can’t imagine going through the process without her. We’re located in Michigan and Lauren worked with us (almost) entirely virtually from out of state, yet the experience felt incredibly personal and collaborative. She created beautiful, interactive mood boards that made it so easy to visualize the design and understand how all the elements would come together. Her eye for design is exceptional, but what really sets Lauren apart is how well she listens. She took the time to understand exactly what we wanted our space to feel like and translated that into a design that was even better than we imagined. Building an addition was very overwhelming for us, but Lauren made the process feel manageable and even fun. She helped guide decisions, offered thoughtful suggestions, and took so much stress out of the process. She was also incredibly respectful of our budget, consistently finding cost-effective solutions that still delivered a high end, cohesive look. Lauren was responsive, organized, and deeply invested in making sure our project turned out beautifully. The finished design feels perfectly tailored to our home and how we live. I cannot recommend her highly enough!

Lauren helped us make our locked-in kitchen more functional and beautiful. She is very knowledgeable about creating a good flow in the space and considers all those things you may not have thought of while dreaming up your design. She is very patient and helped us review so many options in regards to colors, tile, design and price until we found the right one. Additionally, there are always SO many decisions in any renovation, but she was happy to step in and make those decisions we didn't want to make. We are very happy with our kitchen and couldn't have done it without Lauren's expertise!

Lauren was very professional, creative, timely, and spot on with her ideas concerning our small home that we wish to build. She saw opportunities to create a better traffic flow, to create more storage areas, and to make sure the home fit perfectly on the lot in regards to windows, doors, and room layouts on this lakefront lot. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for innovative ideas for their project.

Lauren helped us with a home renovation. She was great at understanding our style and translating it into a palette in our home that works. She was flexible, as we needed her expertise in tying choices together and connecting us with quality materials and vendors. As we continue to update the house through small projects -- I know i'll connect with Lauren again.

Lauren was very conscious of my budget and gave me great ideas for stores, vendors and websites. Prior to many of the big decisions that had to be made, Lauren would come over and help guide me with ideas and concepts to consider based on my style and vision. A few times Lauren would suggest an idea that was out of my comfort zone. Then I would think about it and begin to visualize it - and used every single one of her ideas! I am so grateful that she opened my eyes to textures and colors that I had not considered. I loved having someone with her expertise and design talent that I could call to help me at different stages of the project. Our kitchen is amazing and it is absolutely thanks to Lauren. Lauren King Interior Design did a GREAT job for me! I am a single homeowner and thought my small spaces wouldn't qualify for someone like Lauren. She treated my spaces as if they mattered! Lauren was professional & precise. I will use LKID for every interior project I have going into the future.

I worked with Lauren starting from ground zero for furniture on a new, much larger house of a different style. She was incredibly accessible, flexible, a great communicator, and respected the fact that budget was a serious consideration.
