About Us

Laurie Westberg is an award-winning Florida based Interior Designer with 15+ years of experience in Interior Design, Fashion, and Art. She has lived in Milan, New York, Park City, Minneapolis, Phoenix and Tarpon Springs, and credits her knowledge and aesthetic to great European and American design. Laurie has such a beautiful home of her own. She has such a scope of different genres that really compliments so many ideas! She uses texture and soft materials that play off each other in a truly beautiful way. Laurie is so easy and open to new ideas. She could only be an asset to your remodel.

Duane Warren

in early 2019 it was time to downsize from our 3000 square foot, four level, single family home where we had lived for over thirty years. With Laurie's assistance, we located a 1500 square foot town home in a nearby neighborhood. Although the size and location of the unit fit our requirements, we were not impressed with the outdated, mid nineties décor and closed-in kitchen arrangement. Laurie could envision removing the walls around the outdated kitchen and creating a modern, open space for comfortable daily living as will as occasional entertaining. A challenge for Laurie was our wish to incorporate a few key pieces of our existing furniture, which she accomplished seamlessly. Material selections progressed as the plans were developing, so we could make selections and begin to see how things would fit together. A number of alternatives were proposed for each selection which allowed us to guide the design, but also expanded our horizons to consider products, styles and color combinations beyond our normal comfort zone. We found the process to be an enjoyable and exciting experience and a little like Christmas as each new component fell into place. Laurie was able to take our project from concept to completion with confidence and professionalism that resulted in a home we will be happy with for years to come.

Laurie was the PERFECT choice to create a unique eclectic feel for the 1960's home I purchased. She has a great sense of color which really brightened up the space and created a more modern look. She selected fun arty pieces of furniture and accessories, new carpeting, new countertops for bar area, and window treatments to finish off a previously drab space. She has a fabulous design sense and remodeled an outdated wet bar area and created a segregated office space by installing a barn door/wall off of my dining room. Laurie was a pleasure to work with, kept me informed each step along the way, and respected my budget. My home is now updated and more modern. And it emanates my personality and a sense of calm. Laurie helped us with a complete remodel of our home - kitchen, bathrooms, most bedrooms, great room. We wanted to lighten up our home, and move to more of a mid-century modern, transitional design. We couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. The materials, colors, designs, are perfect. Interesting, unique, but very functional. She also helped us select a contractor to do the work, and coordinated with the contractor throughout the construction phase. Lastly, Laurie's associate, Suzanne, helped pull everything together with wonderful accessories. We highly recommend Laurie and her team.

While trying to settle on a design for the remodel of our 2007 home, we finally decided professional help was needed. Having dealt with designers in the past that tend to simply influence personal tastes, it was with skepticism that we embarked on the latest project. After doing some research, we enlisted Laurie’s expertise. How refreshing to start off our homework by reviewing projects on Houzz that matched our style interests. Without influencing, Laurie then took our thoughts and transformed them into a masterpiece. Unlike some past experiences, we soon found that Laurie is a full service designer whereby all aspects of the project were managed from start to finish. The process started with CAD designs that required only minor modifications. Laurie then competitively bid the trades, coming up with at least three qualified contractors for each phase. Design considerations were almost always determined after Laurie provided three or more alternatives. How refreshing not to be overwhelmed with too many choices. Construction was completed with little variance from schedule, and when problems arose, as they always do, Laurie was able to solve them with little fanfare. Once construction was completed, we also enlisted Laurie’s assistance in accessorizing our home. Along with her associate Suzanne, they provided that professional eye that really put the finishing touches on our project. The end result of Laurie’s and Suzanne’s efforts exceeded our expectations. We started off with the desire to create interior spaces that complemented the décor of our recently completed back yard living area, and we could not be happier with the final product. We highly recommend the services of Laurie and Suzanne.

We worked with Laurie to remodel our kitchen, family room, living room and an adjoining office. Laurie helped us from the initial planning through the final construction. Planning began in late spring of 2016. The construction began in August, 2016 and was completed in October, 2016. We worked closely with Laurie during the planning process. She did an excellent job getting to know what we wanted and then made many helpful recommendations. During the planning process she came to know our tastes and what we wanted. In many cases, she was able to take our general idea and turn it into a definite plan. She did an excellent job working with us to create what we wanted. She showed us many choices in both the design and in available materials. She was always looking for what we wanted. Prior to the start of construction, Laurie gave us a detailed plan and project timeline. The initial timeline was about two months. Laurie worked well with the various contractors and companies to ensure everyone was scheduled and committed. Without exception, the workers showed up when scheduled. As with all complex projects, things did not go exactly as planned. Some of the problems were surprises that were discovered along the way. Others were minor mistakes that were made. This was not unexpected. In all cases, once the problem was discovered Laurie was quick to work with us and the contractors to resolve the issue. The problems were addressed quickly and the timeline adjusted as needed. For anyone thinking of remodeling, this should be an important consideration. In any big project, there will always be surprises. Laurie did an excellent job addressing them. We are extremely pleased with the results. Laurie helped us to create a home that is beautiful and welcoming. The combination of tile, stone, cabinet style and finish all go together to create the look and ambiance we were hoping to achieve. The contractors she hired all did excellent work. We highly recommend Laurie for any project you may be considering.

Laurie has been instrumental in helping me find curtains and blinds for all bedrooms and remote control blinds for our media room. She worked within the budget constraints set and brought in an excellent installer, Matthew. We then designed custom drapes for my unique master bathroom which are featured in the picture below. I absolutely adore working with her; she is a real pleasure and actually listens to my needs. We will definitely work on more projects as I move onto the living room areas.

Laurie is a brilliant designer and a joy to work with! She helped us transform our Tahoe vacation home into a mountain sanctuary that we both love returning to again and again. We have worked with many interior designers over the years but we have never had an experience like we had with Laurie. In our experience, most interior designers lead too strongly with their own taste and ideas and don’t allow their clients' unique personalities to guide the process. Laurie was the exact opposite. She has a unique ability to tune in to her client’s unique tastes and desires and then synergistically bring her own creativity to the project to generate spectacular design solutions that wow everyone. She is also easy and fun to work with. We love what she did for us so much that we flew her from Arizona to the SF Bay area this summer to help us remodel our new primary home in the Berkeley hills!
