Liza has a superior sense of style and design to fit the personality of her client. Rather than recommending a specific look that most decorators have a bias towards, Liza has the versatility to listen, learn and direct a room that meets her clients’ preferences. Literally, starting from the ground up, she designed a room starting with a Persian rug, paint/wallpaper, custom wall unit and then the furniture. Our “library room” is now the nicest space in our home....thank you Liza!

Liza at Homegrown is a unique combination of talented and down to earth. Her taste is beyond amazing and her results are perfection. We have had the opportunity to work with a number of designers. Often times the project felt difficult and the end result did not feel like it reflected our style. Working with Liza is a design experience like no other. Liza has a wonderful ability to design spaces that are unique, creative, and actually livable! We worked with Liza in two different homes. Even before we moved into our new home, she was superb at helping us prioritize rooms and design that we could build from for other rooms. For example, in our new family room she found unique pieces that brought the room to life and made it an inviting space to spend time. Over the years she has also been wonderful in helping us "finish" rooms at our desired pace. Not only is she creative, but she delivers on time and on budget. We are delighted clients.

I hired Homegrown Decor to supervise a remodel and completely furnish an empty house. In addition, I was halfway across the country almost the whole time. Liza Holder made the entire process completely painless for me. She supervised all of the remodel perfectly, and was able to keep the project moving without me. We shopped together for furnishings for a few days, and got almost all of the house done in that time because of her excellent pre-planning and great relationships with suppliers. The rest we were able to do electronically. It was so easy because Liza really listened to what I wanted and zoned in on it perfectly. She also is respectful of a budget. The best experience with a designer I have ever had!

Liza Holder assisted me in designing my living room. Her laid-back, easy going attitude was just what I needed. She worked with me to design the floor plan in a room with many challenges--it was more rectangle than square, had two walls with windows and doors, and two openings into the foyer and dining room. The design we came up with was flawless. Picking the furniture with her was fun and not time consuming. She took me to one store with great pieces and in one visit we had the room. Same for the rug. She also helped coordinate the color scheme with ease. Just through our conversations she totally got my vibe and what I was trying to achieve. I can't wait to work with her again on another room.

Everything about our experience with Homegrown Decor was positive. Liza Holder is first and foremost a great listener. She calmly listens to your wants, concerns, and questions, and then -- with her talented, sharp eye -- can quickly assess how to best meet your decorating needs. She helped us with our home office renovation, choosing the right mood and feel we were hoping for through her paint, carpet and desk top selections. She helped us think through lighting, built-in cabinet finishings, and roller shade color and texture. It all came together beautifully. And, throughout, Liza was always on time and responsive to all my emails and phone calls. I had a great time working with her. I had a wonderful experience working with Liza Holder from Homegrown Decor. We built a house from the ground up, and we couldn't have done it without Liza's help! Her eye for detail yet ability to focus on the big picture - all while remaining calm and super practical - made the whole process fun and sanity-saving. From helping us pick out tile to appliances to paint colors and all our furnishings, she was able to convey our personal tastes so well. The best part? It truly looks like "our" home.
