I am in the process of updating our master bathroom. I am very impressed by Lori’s professionalism and attention to detail. She asked me many questions to understand what I thought I would want for this project. She made many suggestions and is helping me navigate my selections.

We are remodeling our home we recently purchased in McKinney Texas. I found Lori Lynn Designs on Houzz and after reading her many great reviews, my husband and I decided to get some expert help and we are so glad we did. We thought we knew what we wanted but once we started working with Lori and she showed us what we liked versus other options she had in mind, we were thrilled and amazed with her new ideas and suggestions! Lori is very creative, organized and good at communicating, and she responds promptly when you reach out to her. She will send all of the ideas that you have talked about with her right to a shared folder on your phone and you can quickly see the visuals of what you have put together with her, including paint colors, flooring, lighting, etc. She has many places that you can visit in person or online for pricing from wholesale to retail and she is respectful of your budget. She is such a smart, kind and thoughtful person and will truly work hard for you. We highly recommend Lori Lynn Designs!! We are still a couple of months away from being finished, but I know it’s going to be beautiful! Thank you Lori!

Lori is just a delight to work with. She is such a good listener, and has so much knowledge. I love the way she can do measurements and draw a schematic to scale. I had moved from a very large apartment infrance to a smaller house in Texas. I had an over abundance of paintings, art books, and objets d'art. I was faced with the task of which items to use and which items to pack away. It was daunting to decide where to hang the paintings and how to decorate a long, tall set of bookcases that I had had built in the hallway. I put off the task for several years until I was recently referred to Lori. I immediately contacted her and set up a future work date. She arrived at my house and within a few short hours she had totally restaged the placement of the items on the shelves of the hallway bookcases making it look spectacular. She also helped me to choose the correct painting and the correct spot on each wall to hang them. I was vey pleased with her work. My new home is much more enjoyable. It was a great relief for me to have it all done so beautifully by Lori. I highly recommend Lori to any prospective client.

I wanted to take a moment to share my recent experience working with Lori, who helped us with our new townhome. Initially, I was quite nervous about hiring a designer, as my past experiences had left me living with decor that didn't fully match my taste. Admittedly, part of the issue was my reluctance to speak up, and the other part was simply a difference in style. However, Lori was a breath of fresh air in so many ways. From our first meeting, she took the initiative to visit our apartment to understand our style and identify any furniture pieces we wanted to keep. Her organization and efficiency were impressive, and as a program manager, I truly appreciated it. Lori offered suggestions without pushing us into anything we didn't like. She also helped us find the perfect contractors for the changes we wanted to make to our townhome. Lori even came over while the contractors were there to ensure they understood our vision and to provide accurate estimates. Her advice on what should and shouldn't be done ultimately saved us money. One of the most valuable aspects of Lori's service was her detailed room measurements and renderings, complete with furniture and rug size and placement suggestions. These drawings have been incredibly helpful as we've shopped for pieces to complete our look. Although our budget may not be as high as most who hire designers, Lori has been patient and supportive, never pushing us to finish but always willing to help when needed. Overall, my experience with Lori has been fantastic, and I can't imagine working with anyone else in the future. Thank you, Lori!

Lori did such an excellent job assisting me with making good choices on my kitchen remodel. She suggested things that I would not have thought about. For instance, she suggested removing a pillar that my contractor agreed was not load bearing. It opened up everything and made my kitchen look much larger. It gave it the “WOW” factor. She also designed my new living room bookcase and built ins for the butler’s pantry. She accessorized my bookcase to make it a focal point in my living room. I know I would have made so many errors along the way if I had not been able to ask her advice. She gave me peace of mind about my choices. That was a blessing. She is very creative and so talented. I love everything we changed!

Lori is what you want in a Designer…experienced across various styles, listens intently to your needs and desires, and executes with great communication throughout the process. In my case, she also had much patience in giving me options when I was all over the place. She’s able to adapt to different personalities and price points. We have referred her to friends and clients as well.

I cannot recommend Lori highly enough! I’ve worked with other home decorators in the past, but Lori is by far the best. When my father recently moved into an assisted living center, I needed to completely renovate his house to prepare it for sale. I hired Lori for the project, and from the very first meeting, I knew I was in great hands. I can not say enough about how wonderful Lori is as a designer. I was moving to Texas from out of state and only had limited time to shop for new dining room and living room sets. She called me to find out what my needs were, my style of design, and my budget before we went to market to shop. Going to market would have been overwhelming had she not guided me. Lori had made designs of the room layout so I would know if the furniture I liked would fit in my rooms. She let me look at numerous options and took pictures of everything I liked, letting me know the cost of each. She encouraged me to sit on couches and chairs to see how comfortable and functional they were. Once I decided on what to purchase, she took care of all the details. I needed a receiver in my area to hold my new furniture until I completed my move. Lori researched receivers in my area and coordinated delivery to them. Her communication was exceptional, her attention to detail incredible. I absolutely love my new furniture and layout of it in my new house. As an added bonus, I have the pictures of the additional items I liked but did not order. I can contact her at anytime to order anything else I want. Lori is a dream to work with.

Lori provided design services for updates prior to putting our house on the market. Her tasteful design recommendations coupled with material choices mindful of a return on investment were outstanding. The result was neutral, clean, upscale results for the kitchen, primary bath, consistent wood flooring throughout, and new staircase that absolutely complimented the existing paint and trim colors. Lori is a life saver and she does it all! We were looking for both a designer and a collaborator on our new build as we wanted to be very involved in the design process. She helped us find inspiration photos to help flush out our vision. She helped us define our style and establish a materials palette. She both shopped with us and let me do some leg work to explore options. LOL, I need to "see it all" and not just choose from a few presented options, although she excels at that approach as well. She has a great sense of color and stays current on design trends and is incredibly organized, which is something our builder's team truly appreciates. In addition to helping us through the infinite amount of decisions in a new build, she's also helping us with the post build interior design and furnishings. When unexpected home repairs turned into a major project requiring many decisions, we greatly appreciated Lori Burke’s guidance throughout the process. From kitchen updates including beautiful easy-care counter tops, updated wall colors in all of our living areas, and suggestions for new flooring, her assistance really helped us get an overwhelming job completed to our satisfaction at a reasonable price. We were especially grateful for her help when painters were wrapping up the job in our kitchen and informed us that our selected counter island wood stain was not doable. I worked with Lori to help put the finishing touches on our new home. I have never been able to decide on a coffee table so I haven't had one in some 20 years. But I really needed one for this new home. I enlisted Lori's help and she guided me to the perfect one that just sets off the living room. I also was able to go to the Dallas World Trade Center where we found great choices for lamps, a painting for my dining area, decor items and a rug for my entry way. Lori is amazing and has helped us on various projects over the years. But this year we repainted and updated our 5,000 sq ft house and she was key in doing this. She helped us with new carpet , furniture and lighting. We put in new lighting both inside and outside. One of the things I like about Lori is she helps complete your look with reasonably priced items that look more expensive than they are. I was referred by 4 neighbors with beautiful homes (all different styles/tastes). Lori listens to you and gets to know what you want. She is honest if you ask her opinion, very detailed with measurements, drawings and placement so that what you order fits perfectly. She has helped with furniture, paint colors, tile selection, art and placement of all of it. Lori has helpful contacts in each trade that help her get everything her client wants. Lori was amazing to work with. She was warm and friendly from the first call. She put to rest any concerns I initially had about working with a designer before she even came to the house. Our house is sixteen years old and the colors were dark and dated. I wanted to lighten things up but it seemed too overwhelming to tackle so I did nothing. There was a lot to be done in the kitchen and family room and I also wanted to make some updates in my dining room. Lori kept me focused on the master plan and made sure my selections would work even if I didn't do everything right away. I have been working on some updates to our home and Lori has been great to work with in providing me with ideas to modernize without having to replace everything. She has assisted me in selecting new paint colors, light fixtures and ideas on how to leverage my existing furniture. She has a great eye for design, provides lots of great suggestions on both design and contractors to actually complete the work. She has also been very open and flexible to working within my timelines and budgets as we want to complete this work in stages.

I have known Lori for many years. I recently built a new home and needed help in selecting artwork, accessories, rugs and fabrics for bedding. Of course, I contacted Lori for help. First of all, let me say, that Lori is the most organized person I have ever known. She suggested that we go to the Market in Dallas. I have been there before and I find it overwhelming. But Lori, being so organized, had our entire schedule planned for the day. She visits the Dallas Mart 3-4 times a week so she knows what vendors had products that I would be interested in and knows where they are located. We wasted no time during our visit. AT the end of 6 hours, we had visited 12 vendors (3 outside of the mart but near by) and she had taken pictures and prices of a few hundred possible items that I might be interested in. All of those photos were sent to my phone in a special folder. This made it so convenient to communicate back and forth regarding any products that I wanted to order or had questions about. I was very interested in having some very unique "showstopping" artwork pieces. We found some pieces that we liked at the Mart but nothing that had that "WOW" factor. Lori suggested us visiting a vendor that only deals with designers. I found some fabulous custom pieces that are amazing. I would have never have been able to get those one-of-a-kind pieces without Lori. Lori's response time to questions or any issues are swift. I will hear from her definitely on the same day and usually within an hour or two. Her follow-up is impeccable. Lori has great design sense. She introduced me to some new and a little unusual design elements (at least for me). I liked that because it brought me a bit outside of my comfort zone. Some things I chose and others not, but I appreciate the opportunity to consider things "outside the box". I think that is what a good designer should offer. On top of all of these great qualities, Lori is a delight to work with. I can't imagine anyone not enjoying working with her. I would definitely recommend using Lori for your design needs.

Lori is absolutely fantastic to work with! She has assisted us with multiple projects, including dining room decor, designing a nursery, living room decor, and kitchen design. She takes the time to listen and actually hear what you are thinking while also offering her own opinions. She has the best advice, especially if it is an area you are uncertain about. We have moved back to McKinney after spending 8 years in Boston. On our first stint, Lori orchestrated a full master bath/bedroom renovation for us. I was in awe of Lori's attention to detail. She kept all of her subs on their toes and is great at communicating with them as well as the client. If the sub was running behind or faced an obstacle, we were notified right away. The final outcome was stunning. We couldn't have been happier. When we moved back, I knew who I could depend on in renovating my office. Again, Lori did not let us down. We recently engaged Lori for design consultation for our interior and were very pleased with the end result. Lori provided the general direction for the design flow of our home, and then selected the specific materials (flooring, rugs, paint color, and furniture). Not only did we love everything, but Lori worked with what we had, which was important to us. Lori has excellent design sense, and this was reflected throughout the entire project. She did a great job of narrowing down options so there wasn't a lot of back and forth. I am still unsure why other decorators turned down the job of decorating my 2,400 sf condo. Lori was recommended by a friend of a friend. (Her name and reputation travels). I recently had the pleasure of working with Lori on completely remodeling our home, which was severely damaged due to a burst pipe that flooded the entire downstairs. We were very overwhelmed with the flood and dealing with the insurance company. After my first phone call with Lori, I knew we were in great hands. She met me at the home and walked through listening to what we wanted and making excellent suggestions along the way. She even pointed out damages that our mediation company completely missed. She is very organized, calm and attentive to our requests, but also very helpful suggestions that both improved our renovation and saved us money. She has a very organized system of shared picture albums on your computer for making selections. For example, she would shop for the fixtures and give me several choices in the shared albums. I would then simply pick the option we like the best and go from there. I cannot tell you how easy she made a very difficult time. Lori was the reason we were able to get a contractor at all during this very hectic time when quality contractors were hard to find. In the end Lori helped us find new hardwood flooring, completely renovated the kitchen, new paint throughout the house, new fixtures, new carpet, updating outside lighting and the front door. She has a fantastic eye for color, pattern and overall what is current, yet timeless. I will not do any other renovations without working with Lori again. I recently had the pleasure of working with Lori on a renovation to my kitchen, hardwood floors, painting and fireplace.
