Ours was not a small project. After losing our house following a natural disaster, we found ourselves thrown into the daunting task of rebuilding and refurnishing our house. The number of decisions that we had to make was overwhelming and I needed help! Enter Lynn and what was once a dreaded task quickly became a fun project. Lynn's friendly and professional design expertise was a godsend! I consider my style to be eclectic and I didn't want a cookie-cutter interior. I needed a designer who I felt comfortable sharing my ideas with (no matter how crazy they may have been). Lynn is a fantastic listener and took my ideas -- softening them a bit when they were a little too far-flung or amped them up when appropriate -- and transformed our rooms into places of happiness and beauty that reflect the personality of my family. Lynn helped us decorate our family room, dining room, office, master bedroom, exercise room, and outdoor living spaces. Lynn and I laughed our way to our beautiful new old house. When I met her I knew she’d be the one to guide me and my family to the modern yet eclectic, sleek yet comfortable look that we hoped to achieve. After discussing the look and feel we wanted and the parameters of the help we needed from her, she submitted a proposal that was comprehensive and fair. She also led us to the incredible builders who remodeled the house from studs up. Lynn took me shopping for wood floor, tile, lighting, cabinets, hardware, and got me through what to me has to be the hardest part of design: choosing paint colors (what happened to just plain white?). I had so much fun with her and she was always receptive to my ideas, likes, and dislikes. She had no problems telling me when something would work and when it wouldn’t, and was never put out when she’d hold something up for me and I’d wrinkle my nose at it. When we found a gorgeous blue tile for the kitchen she worked diligently and expertly with me to design the rest of the kitchen around it. And then, when the dye lot for the tile varied from the sample we used and arrived looking green and not blue, she calmed me down and helped search for a new equally beautiful blue. My favorite fixture, the lights over the dining table, were found by Lynn at a design convention. She called me with the ecstatic news of, “I’ve found the lights that will be perfect!” And they are. Lynn was especially good at reminding me of the goals for our house whenever I went rogue on her (I'd pop into a tile shop without her or scan lighting websites and then present her with a whole new strain of ideas). Those were the best laughs. Lynn led us to the gorgeous finishes in the house that we have now. She knew that we weren’t going to be buying any new furniture or artwork other than a sofa and she was supportive of that from day one. She has great style and is just so knowledgeable, creative, smart, and easy to work with. Not a day goes by that I don’t look around at our beautiful surroundings and have Lynn pop in my head. I always send her a mental Thank You and lift my glass if I have one in my hand.

Lynn helped me transform our living area from a dated, dark, room, to a light, and more modern looking room that makes me think "wow!" every time I walk by. This wasn't an easy project, due to the fact that we are planning a complete remodel of our home in a couple of years, and wanted to find furniture that would fit with the current space, as well as the look, and dimensions of the new space once we remodel. Lynn did a wonderful job of pulling colors together, editing current furniture and decorations, and creating a new layout that's beautiful, comfortable, and works wonderfully in our space. We haven't used this room much for the past few years, and now we all love sitting in our new living room thanks to Lynn.

We had been wanting to redo our Master bathroom for a while and wanted new look. Something bright and spa like. We had an some ideas but weren’t sure how to implement them. Lynn really listened to what we wanted and helped us create our dream bathroom. Everything turned out beautiful. We are really enjoying our new bathroom and love spending time in it! I highly recommend Lynn Unflat for interior design projects, she is a true professional. We hired her for our guest bathroom remodel and couldn't be happier with how it turned out. We had some very specific ideas about the tile and wallpaper that we wanted, not only did she respect what we had in mind and find it, she also accompanied it with the rest of the bathroom surroundings. She found a beautiful vanity and mirror and really, everything came together just beautifully! We are so happy with the end result and will definitely call her again in the future!

I had an outdated 1980's kitchen until an insurance claim and two inches of water sent me running to Lynn to rescue me. She did and came armed with beautiful samples, connections to suppliers and installers, and ability to grasp my personal style quickly. Lynn recommended upgrades I couldn't resist. From the warm hand-hewn hickory floors to the rich granite countertops, Lynn selected inviting tones that welcome me in. I love spinning the lazy susan and sifting through the pull-out shelf for spices. And the best part, Lynn helped me refit my new kitchen at prices I could afford. I will definitely turn to Lynn again for my next project - maybe, the master bath...
