This is our second time purchasing tile from Portico Tile. They have a fantastic selection and Maria and Max are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The first time, we purchased tile for our fireplace surround and absolutely loved it. This time, we were having difficulty picking tile for our backsplash to go with our Taj Mahal quartzite counter tops. Maria knew exactly what we needed and we could not be happier with the results!

I'm a Builder and this is the first time I had a chance to use Portico Tile. I must say the attention and service I received was outstanding. It happened to be for my personal home. In the future I will feel good referring my clients to Maria and Max at Portico. This has always been an issue for me referring clients, if I refer the wrong supplier it's a direct reflection on me. I needed help selecting tiles for the kitchen backsplash, guest bath, and master bath. I was referred to Max at Portico by my contractor. Max was incredibly helpful and knowledgable throughout the entire process. I originally had in mind a feature tile wall in the master bath shower, but Max pointed out there was no window in that bathroom and suggested to do a feature tile wall to showcase the freestanding tub instead. I am so glad I went with Max's idea, the feature tile wall is a real showstopper in the master bath and so easy to keep clean since it is not getting splashed with water constantly if it had been in the shower. Max also introduced me to new large scale realistic looking marble porcelain tiles. I loved how they looked so much I used them for the walls and floor in the master bath and floor in the guest bath and saved a ton of money than if I had gone with real marble. All in all I am thrilled with how everything turned out!

I’ve done a few other renovations in my home and my biggest regret was only recently discovering Portico Tile for my latest master bath renovation. I’ve dealt with some great professionals on my other projects, but Max and Maria take customer service to another stratosphere. They are truly passionate about their work and it shows in every minute detail. When I first sat down with Max, I had a general idea of what I wanted to do and knew that I wanted to use his mosaic tile that I adored. This is where Portico Tile leaves it competition further in the dust. Using my general comments and a few tile selections, Max sketched out some amazing design ideas, all of which I ended up using. Max’s creative genius is second to none. His artistic vision, expertise in tile and other bathroom fixtures is like the holy trinity of remodeling. To find all of this in one shop is unfathomable. Max even came to my house to measure so that he would know exactly how much tile to order. There was never any pressure to order everything from his shop - although you could easily shop your entire project at his store. Don’t forget lighting! His recommendation was spectacular and the perfect finishing touch to a very long project. Portico Tile is a throwback to the way businesses used cater to clients, offering specialized services and an unheralded commitment to customer satisfaction. Add this to their unique tile selection and you have no reason to look any further.

Max and Maria bring a personal touch to the projects. Their tile selection is magnificent , and not only do they help with choosing, they also help to design the layout of the space presented. I have used them in two very different new construction projects , and they assisted with tile , plumbing ideas, lighting and vanities. Various projects included bathrooms , kitchens, common areas, backsplashes and fireplace walls.

I am a developer of apartment buildings in Manhattan/Brooklyn and I have a particular affection for nice tiles. Portico is a small but densely packed tile store which has every imaginable type and style of tile. It is simply the best title store I have ever been to. The owners operate the store and give their customers the TLC you don't get in the larger outfits. I highly recommend this place.
