After years of planning I had the good fortune to find Mark of Mavish Homes to complete my condo renovation. From the very start he was professional, knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. He was quick to respond to any concerns, conscious of my budget and had great ideas to improve on each aspect of the project. Mark's communication was always timely and courteous. He kept to schedule and handled every detail. He was also conscious of all the Strata guidelines and they were very appreciative. Mark has an excellent team of sub trades. He was involved in every aspect of the project, with great attention to detail. He and his team went above and beyond when issues arose. Absolutely the best! It is not my habit to write reviews but our experience with Mavish Homes has prompted me to do one now. Over the years, having had some rather unfortunate circumstances in the past, I was a bit nervous about our latest project: an extensive renovation with some added quirks. My husband and I were looking for an honest, reliable, meticulous, very capable general contractor, and we had the good fortune in finding all this with Mavish Homes. I tend to be particular about things being done right, and was so pleased to find a general contractor who was this way, too — oftentimes even more so than myself. Mavish Homes was always professional, organized, efficient, knowledgeable, courteous, friendly. While the work was ongoing, our property was treated with care. We were respected and listened to; any concerns we had were met with empathy and ultimately were all effectively and successfully addressed. Every text, email, phone call was responded to. We were provided transparency with all costs, and were kept appraised throughout the entire process so there were no surprises. If there were hurdles, they were handled with Olympian finesse — Mark, the owner of Mavish Homes, has a calm demeanour that soothes, and his oversight shouldered and shielded any and all potential stresses away from us. It was comforting to know we were in his good hands, and that if there were any contentious matters, they were being taken care of on our behalf so what we experienced on our side was competency and a steady progression. Mark cares about his company, he cares about his trades and suppliers; most importantly, he cared about us. So it was easy to trust Mark, and through him, we also learned to trust the process; when it was complete, we were truly delighted with the final result. From a neighbour who saw it: “Oh, I love it!”; from another person in our new kitchen: “It feels good being in this room“ — comments like these added even more proof we had done well with Mark and reached a happy ending. We were provided with quality trades & exceptional service, deserving of 10 stars if it was available. We also know that even though our renovation is now complete, Mavish Homes will still be there for us if an issue should unexpectedly arise in future; if we had a dozen more projects forthcoming, we would want them all to be handled by Mark and his crew. We recently worked with Mark and Mavish Homes on a full-scale renovation of our condo. This was a massive project, and Mark made us feel informed and comfortable throughout. He brought in an excellent team of vendors, and brought our vision to life in ways we couldn't have even imagined. Of particular note, we wanted to make some changes that made our place more accessible for me as a wheelchair user, and Mark was incredibly considerate in this, and checked in with me continuously to make sure the changes would work for me. I feel more comfortable in my home than I ever have!

We worked with Mark at Mavish Homes to completly renovate our older 2 bedroom condo. This was our first experience working with a contractor on a project of this scope. We needed everything taken down to the drywall to recreate our space as a modern, contemporary home. Mark listened to all our ideas and helped us develop a vision and a plan to make it happen. Mark was involved in every aspect of the reno and his professional knowledge at each stage was apparent as was his commitment to get it right. Mark has high standards and it was clear he expected everyone on the project to meet or exceed those expectations. Mark is a skilled communicator and he kept us informed and involved throughout. He worked to keep us on budget and provided us with a variety of options at each phase. His planning and budgeting model is completely transparent and we always knew where we stood with costs and time line. We appreciated his commitment to our project and his determination that every detail be attended to to our satisfaction. It was a pleasure to work with Mark and we happily reccomend him to others. Our kitchen needed work as it was the original from 1989 and needed an overhaul. This was our first go working with a general contractor and both my wife and I were nervous – it was going to be a major undertaking. With that being said, we were very happy with selecting Mavish Homes. Mark added a lot of value to our renovation. His project planning, budgeting and communication was timely and detailed. The subcontractor coordination was efficient and we had minimal periods of downtime. When going through the punch list at the end, Mark's standards were even higher than ours and was willing to go above and beyond to make things perfect. Mark’s recommendations were also solid - he helped with selecting an interior designer (Jamie Banfield) to help with planning out our kitchen reno (from concepts and designs, all the way to drawings for permits). The referral was spot on; Jamie and his team helped us come up with a design that we loved, with Mark also on the other end to ensure that it would still meet our budget. There’s more that could be said but for the sake of brevity I’ll leave it at this - our experience with Mark was excellent; I would definitely work with him again or refer him to a friend as he has earned our trust through this process. Recently we had Mavish Homes Inc. renovated the 3 bathrooms in our townhome and we can not say enough about Mark and his staff and sub trades. Over the years my wife and I have had various contractors working on our homes and no one ever left us feeling as comfortable and satisfied with the job as Mark and his staff and sub trades. Mark and everyone involved were very professional, efficient, friendly and always worked around our schedules. The work was done on time and crews/workers always arrived on time and always cleaned up at the end of the day. We were never left waiting around to see if anyone was going to show up, if they said they would be there at 8:00 AM, they arrived at 8:00 AM and would always call ahead even if they thought they might be a few minutes late. We are extremely happy with our new bathrooms the finish, the workmanship is all exactly what we wanted. We would absolutely recommend Mark and Mavish Homes to any and all of our friends and have in fact already done so. There is no question at all that if we need work done around our home we will be calling Mark.

I hired Mavish Homes to renovate my kitchen. Mark did an excellent job organizing the whole project while providing transparency of where each dollar went. He was efficient, detail oriented and professional. He answered all my questions in a timely manner and provided updates as needed. Mark is professional and dedicated to his work. He renovated our 1960s garden suite which was previously very dark and needed lots of updates to make it rentable for tenants. He sound proofed the suite, made the space open concept between the kitchen and living room and replaced the old kitchen and bathroom. His design was what I wanted and he helped come up with a plan with my budget in mind. It relieved a lot of stress.

Personable, patient, has our best interest and knows his stuff! Hopefully all home renovations will go as smoothly as he has designed it to go so.
