We had a great experience building with Mark D. Williams and his amazing team. This was our first build and Mark walked us through every step of the way, making the process fun, exciting and stress-free. Mark is very energetic and passionate about designing and building homes. He has surrounded himself with a great team. They are organized, skilled and committed. Mark and his team truly care about their clients and building their dream homes. As issues came up throughout the building process, as they do in all builds, Mark and his team were transparent, fair and ultimately worked to fix the issue. We would recommend Mark to anyone looking to build a custom home. Now that our home is complete, we can truly say that we miss the building and designing process. Mark made it fun and we are grateful to him and his team for all the work they have done. Mark D. Williams Custom Homes is well deserving of the 2021 Builder of the Year Award.

Mark and his team have done 3 remodels for us over the last several years, and we have been extremely pleased. Our last home included 2 remodels (kitchen & basement) and ultimately led to selling that home quick and for a far greater sale price. Our current home includes another basement remodel and the collaboration, excellent work, and craftsmanship from Mark and his team resulted in a finished product we enjoy and admire daily! We just love Mark! Building our dream house with Mark and his A-team was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Primarily, his communication and organizational skills are superior to most professionals that we have worked with. We felt integrated into the process on a daily basis and well apprised of any construction or financial issues that came up. He also has an eagle-eye for detail and design elements - now that we have lived in the home for 2 years, we especailly appreciate both large and small details that were changed upon his recommendation. I cannot say enough good things about Mark Williams and his team. We purchased a large home (~8000 sq feet) and needed a complete interior remodel + exterior facelift. We started working with Mark in September, 2019 after meeting with ~15 other general contractors. What set Mark apart from the others was his enthusiasm, transparency, and follow-up. I always felt like our project was a top priority for his team and always received prompt responses - even as he tackled multiple other projects, several bigger than ours. Mark and his team also went above and beyond to keep me in the loop on changes with scheduling, sub-contractors, and selections. The end product was a luxury home that I feel like an imposter living in. The cabinetry (Hipp Cabinetry), hard wood floors, tile and marble installation, appliances, fixtures and furniture (The Sitting Room), and interior and exterior paint jobs (Leggatt Decorating) were all top of the line. Mark keeps an impressive and loyal group of subcontractors in his orbit. These subs speak highly of Mark and his team which, in turn, speaks volumes for a general contractor. The remodel took several months longer than expected (completed late spring, 2020) but 1. it was performed during COVID (supply chain snags and staggered sub contractors to maintain social distancing) and 2. it was a ginormous project. The end result was stunning and so much better than expected. Re: price tag, Mark Williams is not cheap - but we didn't want cheap. We wanted a contractor that had an eye for aesthetics and quality. I will say that of all the contractors we met with, Mark's bid fell in the upper middle (we received ~8 bids). More important than the bid, though, is that Mark actually stayed on budget. Yes, there were plenty of changes throughout but Mark made a point of staying on budget wherever possible. We even received a small refund upon project completion. We have been living in our beautiful home for over a year now and I still have to pinch myself. It is as lovely as it was when we moved in - more so with all the family pictures and drawings that adorn it. Mark and his team even came through this summer to make sure everything was in working order. They arranged for the drywall and painting teams to come through for touch-ups (our kids and pets have loved up the interior) and checked all the fixtures for loosening. As always, his team has been professional, timely, and thorough. We certainly lucked out with Mark Williams. He not only met our high expectations, he exceeded them. We have given his name to anyone and everyone who is thinking of remodeling or building a new home.

Mark and his team have been excellent to work with. Not only are they extremely particular with every detail, bringing the best quality and execution to their clients, but they are fun, too! It's so important to work with a builder who manages expectations, communicates well and has every team member as an integral part of the project and MD Williams Custom Homes does just that. It's a pleasure to work with them and we look forward to every project!

Mark clearly has a passion for building and was hands on from design ideas to making changes per our request. He was able to stay on budget with few surprises.
