Martha created a space that was both comfortable and beautiful. She was diligent in working with us and being sure that we were satisfied in every way with the outcome of our homes make over.She found resources that we could not have found on our own, and she directed us to great subcontractors who did painting and helped with installations and many things. We were very happy with the outcome and would highly recommend MC 2

Martha brought her extensive experience, knowledge and talent for the painting project we wanted done. The idea of picking out the right paint colors was overwhelming and she made the process easy. She then took the project to another (exciting) level where she came with additional colors and she, herself painted an area in our living room herself, highlighting the architecture in our living room! The team of painters she chose were professional, detailed and fast with no disruption. I would highly recommend Martha for your painting needs.

We hired Martha to help us choose new interior colors and carpet for our house. She has proven herself to be extremely knowledgeable about color schemes and design elements. She’s also very friendly and worked alongside us with the professionals we hired for the painting and carpet installation ensuring we were getting the right products and materials. She is available at all times and we contacted her through phone, email, and text. She is very responsive. Because she listened to our concerns and wants, we are over the moon happy with our results.

I could not have been happier with MC2 or more specifically with Martha and Craig - both of whom have an incredible sense of design and compliment each other perfectly. In addition, Martha is truly a born project manager and Craig a master craftsman. We had purchased a 1700 square foot cedar home with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. The place had been built in 1978 and hadn’t been updated since. To say it was dated would be a vast understatement We planned on a complete renovation which involved gutting the kitchen and the bathrooms, drywalling over the worn cedar walls while refurbishing the cedar ceilings and heavy ceiling beams, redoing the floors, tearing down walls, cutting out windows and doors, removing a large rambling spiral staircase which divided the great room as well as removing an old wooden stove sitting atop a brick pedestal painted fire engine red, redoing all the ceiling and wall lighting, refurbishing the outside cedar and replacing the 30 + year roof. It was a large undertaking requiring a cash outlay of about $300,000.00. To complicate things the renovation was done during the Covid lockdown with all the ensuing supply chain issues which made Martha’s job of scheduling contractors, installation, and finding suppliers an absolute nightmare. Dealing with all the bottlenecks and frustrations would have been more than a full-time job for me so having someone as skilled and knowledgeable as Martha handle it was a godsend. She was on top of every detail from the most minute (the pipping on the custom pillows for the setae) to the large (the redoing of the exterior walls, deck, and roof). What I appreciated most about Martha though was her vision in seeing exactly how each piece in her design would work in the context of the whole. I have to say that I was skeptical of some of her choices on first viewing but when I saw them in the context of the entire creation, I could see that they were exactly the right choices. It was as if magically the whole thing came together in perfect harmony. A few of the things we needed could not be purchased and were custom made by Craig. He made two perfectly fitted side tables with hammered bronze legs and beautifully marbled granite tops, a perfectly shaped oval coffee table with the same legs as the side tables and a thick glass top as well. In addition he engineered two custom swing out mirrors for the bathroom sinks which are held flush with the wall when closed so as to allow for a large unobstructed window over the sinks which looks out on to the garden while providing a mirror over the sinks when needed for grooming. Throughout the process both Martha and Craig were extremely responsive – keeping us updated on the progress of each piece of the project. They would always pick up immediately when called or return the call within an hour or two if unavailable. In addition, they are truly lovely people and were an absolute delight to deal with . I couldn’t give them a higher recommendation!

Martha was amazing to work with! From our first meeting, she was professional, openly communicated with me, and made the redesign of my living room so easy! Most importantly, she listened to what I really wanted! I have custom built-ins and she even arranged for a painter to come and repaint them. Everything from start to finish was stress-free and ended up being beautiful. I highly recommend and would not hesitate to use her again for any future projects. Thank you!!!

Martha at MC2 really helped pull my rooms together. She helped me choose paint, fabric, tile, and some furniture. I found Martha to be very responsive and organized. So nice to have someone guide me thru the process when I was just stuck and stumped where to start.

Martha is a high caliber interior designer with a keen eye for color and spatial layout. We worked with Martha and MC2 Design on several areas of our home and were very pleased with the results. Martha is detail-oriented, professional and keeps your project moving forward which was very much appreciated, especially since our design work was being completed during fires, evacuations and COVID! We love the curated art (paintings, photographic art, glass work and bronze pieces) she found for our home. She transformed our living room into a music room/library, and recommended and chose paint color for our master bedroom wall which really made it much more elegant. My favorite part of our design work with Martha was that she was able to bring my powder room vision to life. We would definitely recommend Martha and MC2 Design, for both large and small projects!

We had the pleasure of working with Martha and Craig on the remodel of our kitchen. Martha listened to our vision, and made suggestions on colors and styles that would complement our existing granite counter tops and house style. She came up with ideas that I would have never thought of. Martha custom painted our cabinet doors, and with her skill and attention to detail, they turned out beautifully. We live full time in Colorado and needed a local design company to help us with our vacation home. Martha and Craig of MC2 Design worked with us on our beach house in Bodega Bay and did an excellent job! We had several areas that needed work; the priority was a new wall to separate the master bedroom from the main living area. They put together a design plan and drawings for the wall and supervised construction with our contractor. The wall and interior window they designed worked so well that it looks as if it has always been there. Then we decided to hire MC2 for the rest of the projects that we had in mind. They listened carefully to our requirements to update the living room, master bedroom and sleeping loft/TV room. They presented recommendations with samples and a full design plan for our review. After discussions and modifications we were ready to proceed. This included color coordination of paint, fabrics, carpets, furniture and blinds. They also designed custom efficiency cabinetry and storage for both the kitchen and laundry areas. The space is beachy and fun but has a fresh, updated feel with a sophisticated color palette. We have now hired them for a third time to re-do the attached cottage on the same property! Martha and Craig make a great team with both "big picture" and detail orientation. The communication was very effective with no in-project surprises. We can recommend MC2 Design without reservation.

Martha is an amazing interior designer and a true professional! She always called me back and showed up when she said she would. She really listened to what I wanted and needed and gave me exactly that. When she came over for our first consultation, she had so many ideas that I never thought of. I immediately I knew I had picked the right person. I love my new space! It is truly life changing. I worked with Martha on a tune up of the space in my living room. We had the pleasure of working with MC2 on 2 occasions in San Diego. Designer Martha Channer brought us on as a cabinetry sub-contractor, one project being residential and the other for a Hotel Lobby in Little Italy. Our LEICHT showroom was within walking distance of the Hotel Project, which made it not only convenient for us all, but Martha knew that LEICHT had the perfect door material choices and colors, designed to last in a busy Hotel Lobby. MC2 was great to work with, a lot of communication was necessary to pull all the strings of many custom made parts. Their design was very creative and they brought in craftsmen from all over California to create the new look. They were respectful and appreciative of each experts input, thus the work went smoothly and the new lobby looks amazing. I would definitely work with MC2 again, they land fun and creative projects, which are always appreciated, by clients and craftsmen alike.

As the social media manager for MC2, I continually witness their ability to meticulously design and plan complex projects for residential and commercial spaces as well as create custom pieces of furniture and art installations. Over time, I have learned a lot about color science and how energy flow in a space can be directed by furniture design, the use of color and textures, and intentional light placement. One example of the great use of thematic materials (as shown in the images that I have included) is a home that I had the pleasure to see firsthand. I must admit, I felt very envious of that family! Through our work together in navigating brand representation online, I've combed through hundreds of images of Craig and Martha’s interior design work: they are simultaneously fast and hardworking; consistently evolving homes and businesses into spaces that appeal to the eye, heart, and mind. They seamlessly balance aesthetic appeal with practicality and manage to tell a story with every project. As a team, they can micromanage every detail; from the far right bit of sand in a Zen garden to the wave-like shadows a lamp casts on an accent wall. Meanwhile (& months in advance), they both can view in their mind's eye, the broad picture of how the many details play together for the final version of a space. I look forward to the day that I can contract them for my first home, and in the meantime will continue to count my blessings to have them as professional mentors. They have guided my endeavors as an online marketer and graphic designer with generous compassion and endless wisdom.

This is the second project that I'm currently engaged with MC2 Design. I am doing so because of their creativity, professionalism and unique ability to take a space and create a work of beauty. They are able take my ideas and sense of color and put them into a working format that reflects my taste and the design of my home. They carefully and diligently select the fixtures, tile, paint, furniture and fabrics for the space that they've created. Whether the space is small as it was for my first project, or more expansive as it is for my current project, they are able to work efficaciously with both. Their attention to detail and connection with their clients makes this arduous task of remodeling enjoyable and fulfilling. The total price of both projects are $45,000.

Martha and Craig are not only incredibly talented designer professionals, but they are wonderful to work with as well! Communication is great and it's a pleasure to see how they have taken my initial vision and turned it into a beautiful reality. Proposals came in quickly, were very reasonable, and the projects were on time and within budget. I have hired them to do three different projects for me over many years, and I would do it again in a heartbeat! I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know them and I love the gorgeous results of their quality work in my home. What Can I say about Martha and Craig other than they are talented and experienced professsional from start to finish. My home was a blank slate when I hired them. They worked with me on a budget and prepared a detailed project plan and cost. I am particular in my wants but also a bit indecisive and unsure of my tastes and preferences. Martha especially spent many hours helping me to refine and define my ideas for the home that I hope to spend many years in. Her sense of color and design as well as execution is excellent. I love both the colors and textures she chose for walls and a new gas fireplace that I absolutely love. Craig too has an excellent design sensibility and built me several beautiful pieces of furniture, including a dining room table, a buffet table of green granite that i adore as well as a unique and sturdy coffee table and entertainment center. And not to forget their help in picking out the perfect light fixture in the dining room. At the end of many work days we’d share a bottle of wine, admire our efforts, and make any adjustments (they were very patient with my indecision). Both Martha and Craig went above and beyond to create for me a lovely home. I have had many many positive comments about their work and the end product. I recommend them without reservation.

I’ve had the pleasure of working with MC2 Design on the interior design of my homes living, dining areas and my staircase. I selected Martha and Craig after having a great experience working with them on interior and exterior paint color selections for my home earlier. I was impressed with the design process we went thru selecting fabric materials, window treatments, built in cabinets, custom built entertainment center, rugs, lighting, paint color schemes, stairway railings and the design and manufacture of beautiful custom MC2 handmade living, dining tables and wall sconces. The time they took to understand my vision of the project made me feel comfortable that the project would meet my desires. As I had hoped the results were fantastic! I can’t recommend them enough!

My newly bought 1920s Spanish home was in need of major cosmetic remodeling whilst maintaining the original architectural details. Martha worked with me to pick layered colors and finishes for the walls that included custom stencil patterns inspired by Spanish tiles for the coved ceilings. I think Martha has an intuitive feel for what the client wants and I highly recommend her interior design services.

MC2 Design, an outstanding Interior Designer! I hired this company for a couple of reasons. The first was to secure a custom piece of art that captured the essence of my home, its feeling, its colors and its texture. The 2nd was getting help pulling all the rooms together into a coherent living space. I definitely got what I ordered! Martha Channer is a master colorist who can see fine shades and hues of color others really can't. She was able to pull together the colors existing in my home through her art design to create a piece that looks like it was born here and belongs. As a designer, she offered excellent suggestions on new color choices for furniture, fabric and furniture. All worked with my natural style. It goes without saying that she was extremely professional, always on time, and provided progress reports on a regular basis as to what she was doing with my project. It was an added bonus that I just happened to really like her and her company! I felt like my project was OUR project, not that of someone imposing their expertise on me. I enjoyed working in partnership with her. Highly recommended!
