Chuen Yee oversaw our renovation of a two bedroom, two bathroom condominium in Waikiki. Since we live in Canada, she recommended a wonderful contractor, as well as a window replacement company, curtain manufacturer, stone fabricators, and stone refinishers. She calmly and professionally advised us, and managed the moving parts behind the scenes. Chuen is a lovely person who is extremely easy to deal with. Our project would have been completed in 7 months (new kitchen, two new bathrooms, wall bed wall, wallpaper, new windows, new drapes....) if it were not for the global pandemic. We are completely satisfied with our project - it is perfection! I can wholeheartedly recommend Chuen Yee for any renovation assistance on Oahu. She was absolutely stellar!

Chuen turned our luxury condo in Kaka'ako into our dream home. An artist at heart, Chuen was magical in her creation of a special design for every room in our home. There was no missed detail, whether that be the color and texture of the wallpaper for our bedroom, or the fabric and style for my vanity chair. But, it was not just the artistic brilliance that made Chuen so special for us. It also was her effective communication style, and detailed project management. Her process was "turnkey"--she arranged for all the purchases, contractors, deliveries, and installation. The coordination by Chuen and her team was virtually flawless. Chuen cares deeply about her work, and about pleasing her clients. She and her very capable team patiently worked with my husband, Bob, and me in presenting many great options for every piece of furniture and every accessory in our home. She took the time and care to understand our style and living preferences. And, she would stop at nothing short of every room being perfectly synced with our preferences and every room looking elegant and beautiful ---looks that we ourselves never could have imagined. Our home is really a jewel for us...our own customized jewel that we love and own with pride and joy. For this, we are enormously grateful to Chuen.

Chuen Yee of MCYIA is a superior interior designer and we highly recommend her for your next project! We interviewed every designer available and we selected her for her design skills, experience and affordability. But through our project, we were also happy to discover how pleasant she is to work with! Chuen was really respectful of our opinions even though my husband and I have very different ideas. She was creative in finding the best design solution for our needs. Although she is intensely popular and thereby very busy, she made us feel like we were her only client. Chuen was the leader we needed in our home project. She suggested contractors and checked to ensure that their work met the specifications. When we searched for an interior designer, we browsed many designers websites and interviewed 8 of the designers that we liked best. We then selected Chuen Yee at MCYIA. We’ve now completed three bathrooms, a dining room and our living room. We couldn’t be more pleased, they are modern, elegant and stunning. Hard to beat the values. Chuen and her team were with us for more than a year while the condo was still under construction. We relied on the computer renderings a lot and they were extremely accurate. After the furniture delivery, they will help coordinating with various contractors. MCYIA has the most honest and reliable professionals I have come in contact with. Highly recommended if you are in the high end market and are looking for values and results that are beyond expectations. .

Chuen took time to sit down with me to look at everything that I had piece by piece to make sure it all fits into the new design the way I wanted. The kitchen came out beautiful and very functional. The design is timeless and the materials are all easy to maintain. I am very happy with my kitchen and bathrooms.

We hired MCYIA to our interior design (specifically furniture, art, kitchen and bed/bath accessories.) This company is a full fledged design team. They suggest multiple options in terms of price and design for every item you will be purchasing. And for those things you are not sure or need help with they will steer you in the right direction. They will go over with you your tastes and preferences, then make sure you approve of the pieces or ideas they suggest. It really is a great way to make sure you are getting exactly what you asked for. I am so glad we worked with them instead of choosing things individually or on our own. The result is something we love to return home to everyday!
