I had decided it was a time for changes and some updates to my living room. Being a widower I had a tough time making decisions about changes. I needed someone to guide me and bounce ideas off of. Michelle was prefect. She is very easy to work with and truly a very nice person. She listened to my ideas and provided excellent advice to guide me to a fantastic outcome. She did not push the scope of the project larger or more expensive. She has good insight to sense your comfort level and works with you. She provides lots of options to make decisions on and again she guides you to excellent results that you might not at first thought of. She provides excellent follow up and you never feel rushed in your project. Overall great experience and would recommend her services to anyone.

Michelle helped us complete two projects, with the most recent being our new build. I could not have done it without her. Her expertise, knowledge, and amazing ideas helped us craft the most beautiful home. Michelle takes time to get to know her clients and what they like. She takes the time to get to know you and what kind of aesthetic you are hoping for. She’s incredible and extremely talented. Her attention to detail, and bringing a space to life is impeccable. From the colors, textures, jewels and all of the things she is simply the best!

I find myself with decision paralysis when it comes to decorating! I knew I needed help and after a little research, I found Michelle and am so glad I did! Michelle helped me redecorate the main floor of our home, transforming it from dated and ordinary to modern and lovely! My husband and I wanted to remodel our bathroom. We had a few ideas but really didn’t know where to go or what we really wanted…that was eleven years ago! Fast forward to the present…my husband was going to have a hip surgery and we wanted the bathroom done before that happened. We knew we needed help, so I found Michelle Straube of TaLord Interior Design and she was just what we needed. She was able to help us decide what we really wanted, suggest places where we could find the best selection in fixtures, vanities, tile and she even had a carpenter and a painter that could help us. We hit a big snag when our vanity carpenter unfortunately had a fire at his facility and couldn’t make our custom vanity…back to the drawing board. Michelle was able to draw on her wealth of experience/knowledge and suggest an Amish cabinetmaker and we were back on track! We are very happy with our finished bathroom and Michelle’s guiding hand.

I was overwhelmed with the purchase of my older home until I worked with Michelle. She did an excellent job guiding me through design choices to update my new home. Michelle offers a variety of options to fit your wants and lifestyle. She listens, is timely and thorough. Not to mention she is a great communicator and is available to answer questions. This is the first time I've used an interior designer and let me just say I don't know what I would have done had it not been for Michelle! My husband and I did a complete remodel of our kitchen, master bath, master closet and half bath. All new flooring, tile, fixtures, paint..etc. The decisions were overwhelming and thats when I reached out to Michelle. She was a lifesaver! During our first visit, I gave her an overview of our project and since I had a contractor starting soon Michelle asked what areas needed her attention first. From there we began the selection process, picking out tile, backsplash, flooring, paint colors, bath fixtures. Michelle will work with you as much as you need her. There's no pressure at all. I really needed help in the areas of choosing tile, flooring and fixtures. And her expertise allows her to walk into a store and having an idea of your taste, can narrow down 100 samples to 10! She kept in close contact with me, checking in on the status of the project, inquiring what was next on the to do list. Michelle took this project and made it manageable. Her guidance and knowledge through it all made our renovations turn out just beautiful! We would definitely hire Michelle again!

Working with Michelle was an awesome experience. First, she is an incredibly pleasant person. Second, she knows her stuff and is compulsively attentive to detail. She has an amazing ability to translate my ideas and vision into concrete options, but also brings suggestions from her ideas and experience to improve the vision. I would recommend Michelle without reservation.

My wife and I wanted to use a specific oil painting that our daughter created and decorate our living room, entry and dinning room around it. We sort of knew the style we liked but really didn't know how to fit everything together. Michelle had great ideas and motivated us to get started and work through to completion. She found the right furniture options and accessories in the right fabrics and colors; always giving us a few options to reflect our own taste and style. She even gently served as a tie breaker when my wife and I had a difference of opinion. We are both extremely pleased with the results and some visitors have commented that our living room now looks like a showroom. Michelle is always open to suggestions, always on time for meetings and follows through on the details. I can't imagine how the process could have went any smoother. We are looking forward to using Michelle on our next project (a hallway bathroom).

I (Fresh Start Cabinetry) recently worked with Michelle on a bathroom remodel project. I found her to be a great communicator. Michelle was amazing to work with. All my scattered design ideas did not faze her and she kept me on track and within budget. We sat on a lot of couches and looked at a lot of fabrics but Michelle never lost patience. The one room redo turned into the whole first floor makeover including kitchen. Michelle is so creative and knowledgeable I’ve found my forever interior designer!
