Michelle is just beyond amazing. From our initial call I knew I had made the right decision selecting a designer for my new home. Michelle just has an eye for detail and my project came together beautifully and within budget. She worked with me on a whole home redesign as well as a master bedroom remodel. She took the time to understand my needs as well as what patterns, textures and colors I loved. Michelle literally transformed the space from boring and drab to luxurious and extraordinary - it feels like a sanctuary in there! Delivery and install went smoother than I could have imagined - truly a great experience from start to finish. I cannot wait to work with her again!

We just completed a two year project, our custom home. I needed help in interior design, I am clueless about that - I wanted to be sure that we did not make mistakes and that the feel of our home would be warm and welcoming with good flow and style. We hired Michelle (MJN & Associates) early in the process and she helped us every step of the way, from the time the architect was drawing up our plans until the builder received our Certificate of Occupancy. We relied on her to make suggestions about possible features and to assist in choosing the dozens of features in the house. Michelle took the lead when we chose colors and furniture. She was great to work with; she figured out quickly that the style we sought was sleek and simple in a coastal way, and she always suggested things to match the style we were seeking. Words can’t describe how amazing it was to work with Michelle. We recently bought the home we plan to raise the kids in and knew we wanted a fresh, clean slate with rooms and furniture that just flowed together. I am not a decorator and have no vision. I just knew what colors and patterns I liked. Michelle took that limited direction from me and created a masterpiece. The color scheme is perfect. The furniture is high quality and so comfortable. Every suggestion she made was spot on. We made classy updates to the kitchen and added seating. She helped turn limited master closet space into a more functional area. And my favorite space is our master bathroom that we completely gutted and remodeled. Michelle helped with the floor plan and design and it couldn’t be more perfect. After meeting Michelle on a project for one of my clients, I hired her to help me update several rooms in my own home. Our home got hit by lightning in August of 2020, and burned down. We were devastated. Once we recovered enough to have a vision, we contacted Michelle. She was so compassionate, and such a great listener. She has made us feel like we’re important through all the emotional ups and downs of a rebuild after a fire. My husband and I each had our own priorities, and she was amazing at dealing with both of us individually, as well as handling us as a couple. We are both so incredibly happy with what we have now. The vision was real, and Michelle made it come to fruition. Her guidance was invaluable, and I’m sure we will do more business as time goes on. Michelle was awesome to work with, truly loves what she does and runs a top-notch business! Having just moved back to coastal VA last July after having lived in CO for almost 9 years, we had many challenges to overcome (besides the heat and humidity!) to make our new home livable and a reflection of our taste. First, our new “used” home had a great layout and many special qualities, but was done in a completely different aesthetic than what we wanted and needed some updates as well. Second, having sold all our furniture with our old home we had no comfortable aesthetically pleasing furniture. And lastly, we were stuck in “rustic mountain style aesthetics” mindset though we knew we wanted a home with a “colorful tropical coastal vibe” but had no idea how to achieve that—Michelle really helped us hone in on the look and feel we were wanting while also helping us stay well within our budget! From her initial survey, to in-home consultations, on-line collaborations, emails, texts, and phone calls, Michelle was always available and helped us come to a wonderful design plan to furnish, update and decorate our large open concept living/dining/kitchen! Michelle went above and beyond even delivering various furniture pieces as soon as they arrived vice waiting for the whole order, trying to help us get our home feeling like a home! I loved the work that this designer did for 2016 Homearama so I got her card. I recently downsized to a small living space in East Beach. Since I was accustomed to more space, I just could not find my bearings in my smaller space. I knew it was a long shot but I called MJN Interiors. I do not know what I was expecting but I can tell you what I was not expecting, and that is the warm, friendly owner-Designer Michele. I explained that I was in a situation where I was forced to downsize. She listened patiently, and I made an appointment to have her come out. I have one word the describe MJN & Associates: PHENOMENAL!!! Michele completely transformed my space by strategically placing the furniture that I had, and by adding a few accessories that I got from her. My place looked as though it had doubled in size; I was blown away! It was very elegant too. What I appreciate most about Michele is that she treated me as though I was her highest paying client, and I know I was probably the lowest paying. I told her about my situation going in, and the maximum I had to spend. She was so very gracious and professional. She allowed me to keep my dignity. When she left not only did my place feel more like a home but I felt cared for and pampered. Michelle really gave my spirit a much needed boost. I would recommend MJN & Associates because not only are they super talented, they have heart. Thank you so very much.

MJN & Associates met with me about re-decorating my den. She had me fill out a questionnaire to narrow down my likes and dislikes; then came to my house with samples of the colors she assessed were of my liking. In no time we picked out fabrics for my new sofa, chairs and room size rug as well as tables and ottoman. On delivery day Michelle was there to make sure everything was positioned in the appropriate spot. Then off we went to look for artwork and accessories. For a week I kept walking into that room and feeling like pinch me because everything looked so beautiful! I would recommend Michelle Nettles to anyone who is looking to decorate their home.

I hired Michelle Nettles (MJN & ASSOCIATES INTERIORS) a couple of years ago to help me put the finishing touches on my beautiful home. I needed draperies, a few pieces of furniture, light fixtures and some faux painting done in my dining room and marble look put on my plain looking collums in my foyer and bath. We met Michelle during the redecorating of our family room with the expertise of a fabulous faux artist, Kass Wilson. Kass not only recommended Michelle, she practically insisted on her ... and it was truly the BEST piece of advice we could have received! We were so delighted with our family room transformation that in less than a year we decided to tackle our bedroom ... with Michelle's help, of course! We hired out part of the painting, did some ourselves, but we left the "heavy lifting" (i.e., window treatment design, accent furniture selection, etc.) to Michelle. I simply told Michelle how I wanted our bedroom to "feel" and once again Michelle hit the mark perfectly. My reaction was tears of joy and awe at the make-over. I have engaged MJN Interiors for several design and custom furniture projects in my home over the past few years. I have never been disappointed! Working with Michelle Nettles, the company's owner, was extremely easy, enjoyable and completely accomplished my design goals and wishes. Hiring Michelle to help redecorate my home was the best decision I have made. I initially hired Michelle to redesign my guest room. I was so pleased with the results that I asked her to help with my master bedroom, teen suite, family room, dining room, and my husband’s office.
