We had an outstanding experience working with Mary Lynn on a fairly involved re-decorating project that included nearly every room in our new home. The project was about a year in length, and Mary Lynn was extremely diligent, focused and easy to work with throughout. She took the time at the outset to ensure a good understanding of what we were looking to achieve, what our style and color preferences were, and various other considerations such as the fact that we had small children so wanted to balance quality with durability. She presented us with really great options to choose from along the way and helped guide us in our choices while making sure everything ultimately came together – which it did perfectly. She was honest and incredibly thorough. Mary Lynn is extremely professional and 100% on the ball at all times – I never once worried about the project losing momentum with her running the show. We would highly recommend Mary Lynn to others, and in fact already have!

We found Mary-Lynn to be a first-rate professional with deep expertise and understanding in all areas of decorating and renovation. She was the project manager and decorating consultant on the renovation of our three-bedroom/three-bath condominium in NYC. We have eclectic art and furniture that made color selection for walls/trims/floor very difficult. Mary-Lynn is a sophisticated Colorist and came up with fabulous (custom) colors throughout that showcases our collection, while giving the apartment an understated super classy ambiance. As project manager, she was all over the contractor and ensured that the job was done to perfection and on-time. Importantly, Mary-Lynn speaks the contractors’ language; she knows more than the contractor about building codes, construction best practices, and she is an issue spotter (and avoider) in advance, and a creative problem solver working with the trades. Her communications are terrific. She conducted weekly on-site contractor meetings and provided us and the contractor, weekly, with highly detailed project status reports and to-do lists. She has great taste and is a pleasure to work with. Perhaps most important (at least it was for us), Mary-Lynn does not just tell the client what the client wants to hear. That is key because although the client thinks he knows it all, in fact, the client doesn’t; and the client needs someone to point it out--and Mary-Lynn does it discretely, and invariably the end result benefits from it enormously. We learned a lot working with her. Brava!

Mary Lynn Ring is a talented designer with impeccable taste and amazing attention to detail. Further, a true professional who managed the project and contractors and kept to the intended timeline and budget. She curated and created a beautiful new kitchen complete with the smallest of details like leather hardware and sourced custom built cabinetry to work with the space. Also has great knowledge of the architectural, engineering and code elements to a job. Mary Lynn was a joy to work with and I would confidently recommend her to anyone looking for a designer.
