Modern Tradition Kitchen & Bath was founded in 2016 with our original showroom located in the heart of Pleasantville NY, we moved to a larger location in 2019 to Thornwood's NY business district. We come from a long tradition of providing customized services, specialized design to make your kitchen and bath dreams a reality. We are a family owned business and family is important in our operations and our design. We listen to our clients, provide detailed plans for construction and work to keep installation disruption to a minimum for you and your family. We provide one on one service to ensure that your vision is fully executed. 3-d designs using 2020 Professional Software brings these designs to life. We have over 15 years of contracting, installation and design experience. This experience is based on relationships, referrals and customer satisfaction.

We had a great experience working with Felipe at Modern Tradition. From the very beginning, he was incredibly easy to work with and brought thoughtful, creative ideas that helped shape the design of our new kitchen and mudroom. Throughout the entire project, he was responsive, attentive to every detail, and very committed to the quality of the work. He came to our home multiple times to inspect the cabinet deliveries and installation. He even returned at the very end to make a few final adjustments so everything looked and functioned perfectly. It's clear that he genuinely cares about his clients and the finished product. We couldn't be happier with things turned out and would highly recommend him.

We worked with Felipe and the team to do a full remodel and expansion of our kitchen. Planning was smooth and the quality is excellent. Felipe does an excellent job at lining up the different options at each step of the way, so we as the homeowners can make informed choices. He has great taste and was a good sounding board to think through our vision. Our vision really came together and we feel like we got the quality for what we paid for. We did some different materials for countertops and Felipe sent us to outstanding sub contractors for both soapstone and wood countertops. Felipe is very responsive and came to visit the site several times, including during install. There was one small issue with a cabinet size for the pantry and very impressively Felipe resolved it that day. We lost no time getting the countertop templated. We were very appreciative at how fast he worked to get it fixed. He was great to partner with.

I worked with Felipe at Modern Tradition for my recent kitchen transformation, and I wholeheartedly recommend his services and products. What I appreciated was that he actually listened to what I wanted, was incredibly patient and thoughtful and his attention to detail was incredible. He caught and corrected things that had been missed and miscalculated, which avoided several costly mistakes that would have been a nightmare to fix later. Because of his experience, he gave me advice that actually changed the layout and steered me toward better functional choices that actually improved the flow of the room. What impressed me most, however, was his commitment to the finish line. He personally came over to the house just to oversee the most minor of adjustments, ensuring every door and drawer was aligned and perfect. That level of hands-on service is rare. Thanks to Felipe, my kitchen didn't just get an upgrade—it got a total professional transformation. I cannot recommend him highly enough!

Felipe was amazing throughout the whole design process from start to finish. Our meetings were always productive, creative, and results driven. I cannot even express how much I love my new kitchen. The cabinets are top notch and well made, the hardware selection was vast, and the countertop selection was excellent as well. I also appreciated constantly being updated about where my items were in progress and always felt well informed of the timeline. My kitchen is absolutely better than what I dreamed of.

Superb experience. Felipe was responsive and knowledgeable, and suggested the most practical and cost effective option for our cabinets. He patiently helped create our ideal mudroom from top to bottom as I reviewed and revisited every decision. Felipe also facilitated the delivery and installation, and was a very soothing presence during a chaotic process. The showroom itself has a wide selection of quality cabinets and countertops. I had my kitchen renovated in the summer of 2024, and I could not have been happier with the outcome. This was my first big home renovation in a 1930's home. Felipe of Modern Tradition Kitchen & Bath really streamlined the process, and made it as easy as possible for me! He designed a beautiful kitchen layout, which maximized space and brought much better function in the kitchen. He helped me navigate big decisions and small choices alike--everything from cabinet price points and appliance choices, to sink and knob styles. He was there for it all, and always focused on the details. I appreciated that Felipe let my personal style shine through in the kitchen design, but also gently steered me away from some choices that would not have worked in the space. With Felipe and the contractor team he recommended, my kitchen renovation went smoothly and was completed in about 1 month. My kitchen is now my happy place in the home!

Felipe and Chris were great in remodeling our hall bathroom, very patient. Felipe always answered my text and emails promptly. The people that work for them are very respectful and did a great job of keeping everything very clean(which to me was very important) while they were working. After the renovations were done they came back when I found a few things that bothered me and fixed them. I would highly recommend them for renovations.

I recently had my kitchen remodeled. So happy that I decided to hire Felipe from Modern Tradition. Felipe is very professional and creative. We changed the the design of the kitchen a couple of times and he was always honest and helpful with his ideas. His contractor Jhonny and his team were amazing. They were very easy to have in the house and worked diligently without disappearing for days. I truly enjoyed working with Felipe and his team as they helped take the stress out of a normally very stressful situation. My kitchen turned out better than I could have imagined due to their amazing skills.

I was just starting a kitchen renovation and I was not sure where to start. All I knew was that I didn't want to use a big box store. I have driven by Modern Tradition Kitchen and Bath in Thornwood many times, as it is right in my neighborhood, so I decided to contact them. I sent an email and the owner, Felipe & he was prompt getting back to me. He redesigned the kitchen and the new layout made a big difference. He accompanied me to choose quartz for the countertops and sent me to a local reliable appliance store in Hawthorne to order all the appliances. He communicated with the appliance store and made sure upon delivery, everything would fit, etc. I am very pleased with the entire renovation. The company that manufactures the cabinetry was quick at shipping, I had heard that people were waiting 6 months for their cabinetry to come in. When the kitchen was complete, I was very pleased and decided to have Modern Tradition completely renovate the entire townhouse. I am truly pleased that I went with a small, local place in town. Felipe was a pleasure to work with. If you are in need of renovations for a kitchen or bath, etc., I would give Modern Tradition Kitchen and Bath a try.

Filipe and his team did an excellent job of installing are kitchen. We had limited space so the placement of cabinets and appliances had to be well planned. We cannot say enough about how great of a job Modern Tradition Kitchen & Bath did. From our initial meeting, throughout the renovation, up to the final walkthrough, Felipe was wonderful to work with. His responses were always prompt, he gave his opinion but didn’t push anything on us, and most importantly, he always listened to what we wanted. This was our first time redoing our kitchen but we can’t imagine a process being any smoother. We would highly recommend them to handle your kitchen remodel!

Felipe was simply amazing to work with. He was reachable and insightful with his design. He listened to our needs as a busy family of 6 and made suggestions for the functionality of our kitchen design. Working within our budget and not compromising quality, the line of cabinetry was exceptional. Modern Tradition Kitchen and Bath came highly recommended when we began looking for a company to help us with the total overhaul of our kitchen. Felipe Gomes, the owner and Lead Designer of the company, guided us through cabinet, counter, appliance and accessory selection. He had a clear vision for our project that incorporated our input and feedback. A bonus to going through Modern Tradition is that Felipe’s brother, Chris owns and operates Riverview Contracting, who we also used. Felipe and Chris always answered our calls, emails, and texts promptly and worked hard to make our dream kitchen come true. The result is a kitchen that exceeded our initial expectations. We so value the expertise and professionalism of Modern Tradition Kitchen and Bath and also Riverview Contracting that we plan to use them again for future home projects and recommend them to family and friends.

I recently hired Modern Tradition Kitchen & Bath to design and renovate my powder room. Felipe took the time to understand my style and tastes, then made recommendations for key pieces that would set the tone and style I wanted. In addition, he was able to refer me to sources with reasonably priced items. Once the job began his staff was friendly, arrived when they promised to, and always left our home clean at the end of the day. The final result: a beautiful bathroom that came in at the promised price! What more could a client ask for?

I knew what I wanted, My kitchen grey/white - white cabinets all, quartz counter tops white and grey. I ordered a white farmers sink, Felipe suggested grey to give kitchen pop, GREAT idea. I used Modern Tradition Kitchen & Bath and could not have been more pleased with the results. I moved into an apartment that was a complete gut job both kitchen and bath. Felipe and his expertise turned both rooms into what I had envisioned. From cabinets, to flooring and countertops everything was truly amazing. Felipe not only got me both kitchen and bathroom I asked for but was also on budget. I would highly recommend his first class service.
