Moderno Porcelain Works

Our experience with Moderno was not a good one. Every single appointment we had with them they were an hour late or more. The first appointment was with the guy in charge, Nick, and he was an hour and a half late. He snickered about it and made a joke, but my husband and I found it to be very disrespectful of our time. My husband stayed home from work to meet with him. The second and third appointments they were each an hour late. Very frustrating. They definitely do not plan ahead. One of our tiles arrived with a chip in it. We did not feel we should have paid full price for that piece. They had no empathy at all. If you want your project to run smooth, find another company.

Not sure about other locations, but I would avoid their Orlando one at all costs, would give this company zero stars if I could! Our outdoor kitchen countertop project with them has been an absolute comedy of errors, except I'm not laughing. After waiting a month for materials (after being told it would be a week or two) with zero communications or updates from the "project manager", on install day the installer cut a notch too large despite all appliances being on site for him to measure. The replacement piece took another two weeks to get installed, and during install I was met with snide comments about how much this repair was costing them (to fix their own mistake!!!). Come to find that after the install the edging on the replacement piece wasn't done correctly and when I called to have them come out to fix their error I again was met with attitude. A different tech eventually came out and fixed the edge (he at least was professional). Could not get a single manager or higher-up at the office to return my call to discuss the issues despite multiple attempts and had to reach out to their parent office to get any kind of response. Now two months after the seam in our countertop has cracked and is leaking water into our cabinets and trying to get a repair tech out has been a nightmare. Their PM/office manager can't be bothered to actually communicate anything and I've been left wasting my time to trying to sort out the mess. Would have 100% been better off working with Home Depot or someone else than these so-called "experts"!

Moderno was incredible from start to finish. Everyone we worked with were wonderful from Leyla, the sales manager, to all the installers.. Their showroom was beautiful and the receptionist was so sweet & knowledgeable. She even took us to the warehouse to look at all the slabs of porcelain. This was a remodel job for our fireplace & we needed to see an entire slab, not just a sample. They did let us take home as many as we wanted to see how they looked in our house. They came through 100% in everything they promised, even delivery. I would definitely use them again. I wouldn't even look anywhere else.

What a wonderful experience working with this company. From beginning to end they were so nice to deal with and so professional. I love my new waterfall island and would highly recommend this company.

Moderno was so easy to work with. They brought us lots of samples to choose from and the turn around time from field measure to install was the quickest I have seen.

I am an Interior Architect and I designed a very detailed fireplace wall in a residential project in Katy, TX. Moderno Porcelain Work was the best company to work with for custom porcelain application. They took all small details into consideration and their work was impressively meticulous. The measurements were took on site with a very sophisticated laser machine. The porcelain cutting in their workshop was so accurate, and the application was extremely precise on site. My design was executed perfectly! I recommend this company for any custom porcelain application.
