Montigo Fireplaces

Now that we have our fireplace installed in our wall for $10k and have spent a year wrestling with it to just get it to function, I can confidently say this have been one of the worst home purchases we have ever made. Both my husband and I are in our 30s, very tech savvy, paid for a high end model…. And it’s absolute garbage. Everything from sending the wrong sized parts for install, difficult set up, constant difficultly lighting, and even the remote randomly quits working. We’ve spent countless hours and emails with customer service. If you value your sanity and time — buy a different brand.

I love the look of my Montigo fireplace, but my installer was terrible and is the only one in my state. I'm missing parts and can't get any response from the installer and Montigo won't sell the parts to me directly. I keep getting the run around. I have an unfinished fireplace despite months of pleading for parts. They need a better network.

Flame is less than half the size of the opening. Stay clear of Montigo Fireplaces. Looked great in the showroom but when installed in the house the flame was less than 3 inches

I would highly recommend these fireplaces. They are a beautiful addition to an outdoor space. Not only are they beautiful, they are convenient and simple to use.

We have installed a couple of Montigo's stock fireboxes: H38DF-STI See Thru Direct Vent Gas & HW42DFNI Direct Vent Gas Fireplaces, both with the blower kit with variable flame remote control and the ability to control blower with remote. Both work great and the owner is very pleased with them!

In 2009, we installed a Montigo 72" linear fireplace for one of our clients. The fireplace is fabulous! We mounted a TV on the same wall, but I think the fireplace gets more viewing time. Since that time, we have recommended Montigo to other clients and have installed their product in a variety of sizes. They also stand behind their product and are ready to provide assistance if needed.
