MAY 2025 Working with Maria-Ximena Coriat, our interior designer, and her team at MXC Intl over the years has been an exceptional experience. We have completed multiple projects together, including the renovation of our principal bedroom and principal bathroom, both of which were transformed into spaces that are as beautiful as they are functional. Her use of materials and space is highly creative and thoughtfully executed. She incorporated colors and design themes that reflect our personal taste, resulting in a tranquil, restful bedroom and a modern, elegant bathroom. In addition to these spaces, she also redesigned our family room and living room. I greatly appreciate her ability to work with existing furnishings and reimagine their placement to maximize both flow and functionality, making our home more comfortable and enjoyable for our large family. You are prepared to guard it and to hide it from all other eyes. You are convinced you have a right to it. This is your intimate possession and you are ready to fight to defend it.” This is what Ximena has created for me with her choices of style, fabrics, colors, accents, and attention to every last detail in my new home. I can never thank her enough for designing a restful sanctuary for me ❤️

I could not be more pleased with the beautiful and comfortable space that Ximena designed for our condo which we moved to after living in our house for nearly 40 years. Her creativity, keen eye, and attention to detail was amazing. She was always easy to work with and diligent in her follow through. I would not hesitate to work with Ximena again on any future decorating projects.

Hiring this company was a major disappointment. Our initial meeting was impressive, as Ximena was responsive when setting up an initial meeting and impressed me with her creativity. However, what I received was not what I expected, my contractor told me was not feasible, and other people were involved that I didn't expect or want. Be aware if you think you are hiring HER. Response time was not good. It took over a month for a response to an email where I said I was not happy. I am highly disappointed, and paid for nothing usable. We did not use anything she provided.

Ximena Coriat and her team at MXC Design gave our new "Something Different by Eric" boutique a huge boost with her creative design. My husband and I (two busy physicians ) started the boutique to give our son Eric, who has Down syndrome, a place to work. It is a non profit supported by volunteers with the dream of making it a productive resource for parents of children with disabilities. We started the boutique at a small location, where Ximena noticed us, stopped by and offered her services-for free. She redesigned our store, created merchandise displays and decorated the window, all to attract more traffic into the store. Then we moved to a new more spacious location, and we asked Ximena if she would help us design the space. She accepted immediately and went to work. We fund the boutique, so our budget is very limited. No problem: her designs were practical and beautiful. Ximena is extremely organized. She listened to our needs and delivered a superb design that met all our specifications. She even created a "moving wall" on wheels that allows us to adapt the space according to changing needs. Besides being a fabulous designer who knows how to attract store traffic, we appreciate her pro bono dedication to the project and her willingness to keep helping us.

Ximena was an enormous help in our beach condo renovation! She has an artists eye and keen ability to "see" color and space in a way that I cannot. I enjoyed our brain-storming sessions and she guided me in making decisions for the beachy-cottage vibe that I envisioned. I am thrilled with the result!

We moved to our new home in Seattle and we were busy with our careers and raising our family of three boys. We're interested in a larger home in part to allow us to convene gatherings of people interested in learning, connecting, supporting causes. So we wanted a positive, stimulating gathering space. MXC was able to make our project fun and stress free. Ximena's knowledge and experience was clear from the start and it showed in the results. We can't recommend MXC Design enough.

My life with an international job was hectic. MXC Design was able to asses our needs, redesign my existing furnishings, add needed design touches, and make the space work for me and my family. The selections of artwork and fabrics made our house a home. It was a pleasure to work with MXC Design!

It was a pleasure working with Ximena Coriat and her team at MXC Design. Throughout the project Ximena spent a great deal of time listening to my vision and then added her own wisdom and skill as a designer to make the final outcome really special. She would often bring me three options, at differing price points, so that I was able to keep to my budget and spend my money wisely. She also served as a general contractor for us as we were often away during the renovation. The result was a flawless remodel, done on time, with great peace of mind on our end.
