We hired Nemec Construction to add a screened porch and new deck onto our house. Based on our experience from start to finish we cannot recommend them highly enough. Chris, Tamara, Jeff, Sean, Eric, and all the other members of their team were highly responsive, easy to work with, and always courteous guests on our property. The work they performed is high quality, and they came in right at the budget they estimated. We will definitely use them again for future projects.

We are thrilled with our Nemec home addition including a new master bedroom and bath, mudroom and laundry room. We recommend them highly. Chris, Tamara and the entire Nemec crew are knowledgeable and professional. Chris and his team are true craftsmen, and, made a number of recommendations that improved our project and saved money. Over the course of a year Chris Nemec completed two extensive renovations at our family homestead in the NC mountains--first my great grandmother's cabin, and then my brother's house. Both were custom renovations that required specialized skills. We asked Chris to tear down the decrepit cabin but to save its three stone fireplaces, to keep the original footprint and 1920s "look" of the original exterior, but also to give us an open concept, modern, energy efficient and beautiful space on the inside. The completed cabin is a work of art, and dazzles everyone who visits us. My brother's house required entirely different renovations but basically Chris took an outdated 1970s structure and turned it into another work of art, including an outside pergola and deck that is stunningly beautiful and unique . Chris Nemec and his crew completed both renovations on time and on budget. Each job cost around $150,000. I have the highest respect for Chris Nemec and his team, and would recommend him in a heartbeat.

Nemec Construction is composed of genuine professionals. In particular i appreciated Chris' ability to visualize the outcome of the remodel before it started, and accurately it turned out, and to make money saving suggestions all the way along the way. Tamara is amazing to work with: two things i especially appreciate about her is that she truly listens, and that she early on 'got' my style and my preferences so that the house reflects me, not a designer's idea of what i 'should' want. They employ crews that are knowledgeable, skilled, and easy to have around. All worth it. I love the remodel.

The Nemec Construction team provided full service home building including design, permit management, and construction. The team worked seamlessly with architect, material suppliers, subcontractors and code authorities to keep the project moving successfully through the various phases including CO. Throughout the construction process, dealings with Nemec Construction were honest and transparent. Although the project went over budget (don't they all), Nemec Construction was able to accommodate the differing site conditions and owner requested changes . We consider them friends.

When we purchased our home in 2014, there had been no updates to the kitchen for over 25 years. It was a hot mess. We were very pleased to have hired Nemec Construction in the spring of 2015 to do a full kitchen and first floor renovation. During the bid process Chris Nemec was very attentive to our vision, our needs, and our budget. He incorporated our ideas and suggestions into the project while providing us with the guidance needed to make them a reality. Nemec Construction was able to transform a very dated and dark first floor into a light-filled and functional space that is truly the heart of our home. Each and every day it is a pleasure to cook in this beautiful kitchen. We love the way the new east windows in the dining room bring natural light into the entire downstairs. Moving access to the laundry room to the hallway not only created more space in the kitchen layout, it also has made the laundry room more functional. Removing the popcorn ceiling updated the entire space. Our home was truly transformed after this renovation. We received outstanding assistance from Tamara Stillwell in designing a kitchen that is beautiful, functional and has exceptional storage. She guided us into selecting cabinets, hardware and granite of exceptional quality.She was always accessible to answer our questions and to manage whatever challenges came up during construction. I can’t speak highly enough of the help she provided during this renovation. I also want to compliment the entire Nemec Construction crew for their professionalism and responsiveness throughout the renovation process. We have great confidence in the quality and craftsmanship of their work.We knew that it would be a challenge living with four months of construction and appreciated that the Nemec crew and subcontractors worked so efficiently and made sure that materials were organized and the work space cleaned at the end of each day. After two years of working in my new kitchen I can say without hesitation that Nemec Construction has done exceptional work to deliver the kitchen of my dreams. I would definitely use Nemec Construction for future renovation projects in my home. I recommend them without reservation.

We purchased house plans on the Internet that turned out to be poorly drawn. Chris Nemec made an extra effort to spend many hours to ensure that our new home would be built correctly. Chris is very conscientious and believes on conservation of resources. Emphasis is placed on quality while keeping expenses down. Our home was finished on time and within budget. After completion we had only a few "punch list" items that were quickly addressed. We highly recommend Nemec Construction.

Everyone at Nemec Construction was well informed, professional and very friendly. the crew who installed my windows were prompt every morning and cleaned up at the end of each day. the men installing were very helpful and willing to answer any questions I may have had. I knew the cost at the beginning of the job and there were no hidden costs or surprise add "ons" and I stayed within my budget..I live in a Condo and Chris & Tamara worked with me to be certain the installation met the homeowners' stipulations I LOVE my new windows and have received so many compliments on how they have changed the entire appearance of my place. Nemec Construction has completed several late and small jobs for us over the last 5 years. Initially they rebuilt a stairway that was almost impossible to navigate. Then they built an extension to our house, including a master bedroom. The fit and finish is immaculate,the design both functional and completely suited to our lifestyle. Most recently, they did a complete remodel of our kitchen, which Tamara designed for us. It is both beautiful and very functional. They are the best!

We interviewed a few contractors to renovate our kitchen and chose Nemec. Chris Nemec is extremely flexible and easy to work with. Tamara (designer) showed us design options we hadn't even thought of. They both were easy to communicate with and did not waste time. Our project included new flooring, cabinetry, lighting, countertops, a range hood and removal of an entire wall (support beam installed). The finished product exceeded our expectations and came in thousands under the estimate. Chris does not give you cost estimates so low that he cannot meet them, just to get the job. He sets realistic expectations and delivers. He and his crew were very professional. I highly recommend Nemec Construction.
