She came out to my house twice and gave me advice on where to place perennials, how to treat my sick hollies, provided a list of bulbs to plant for spring, suggested appropriate ornamental grasses, etc. I've attended several of Cinthia's classes at BB Barnes and she is an excellent speaker. “We built a green home in Asheville, and ran out of steam by the time we were making decisions for landscaping, and ended up doing nothing. A few months after moving in, we contacted Ashley on the recommendation of staff at Warren Wilson College, where Ashley had been a student worker in the past. We had no idea what to expect, never having used a landscaper before, and Ashley was great at guiding us through the process! She was very knowledgeable about plants that do well in our environment, had great ideas, really listened when I told her a few of my own ideas, and she made sure to incorporate them while making our design. She was communicative, reliable, and did great work. I was impressed with the size and hardiness of the plants she selected and installed for us, which are doing great after a particularly hot NC summer. We are also very happy with the small retaining wall she built for us.”

“Matt Holcomb of Beer City Landscapes is a rare find. We cannot say enough great things about him and his work! He listened carefully to what we wanted in a patio and included our ideas in his design. Matt was always pleasant and engaging and brought in a team of workers who were also great to work with. He even made a point of befriending our pet dog. His pride in workmanship extended to every aspect of the project. You could even say he is a perfectionist, at one point re-laying a section of pavers that were uneven by a fraction of an inch. His artistry was evident in every detail, from the complicated paver pattern chosen to the manicured look of the planting bed along the border of the patio. Always a great communicator, he presented a logical itemized proposal, asked for our input and updated us every step of the way. He kept us within our budget and even went the extra mile to include things we hadn’t thought of such as mulch and stepping stones to create a finished look. Matt was great at cleanup when the patio was done and has continued to follow up after completion to ensure that everything is to our satisfaction. We recommend him wholeheartedly!”
