We've worked with NMI for over a decade on a range of small projects to a large-scale renovation. Nicholas and his team are impeccable with their word and work. Nicholas is able to zone in on a client's design style and lifestyle. They are responsive to the client's budget and needs throughout a project. They do not miss the details! We count our blessings every day that we found Nicholas to turn our Bucktown house into a home. What separates Nicholas from other designers (besides his impeccable taste) is that he really took the time to understand us as people; not just how we envision using our space, but how we operate in and what passions drive us through our lives. By taking the time to understand us, he was able to infuse his designs with bespoke details made just for us. This continued throughout, from inception to final product. We loved that Nicholas brought us options, thoughtfully listened to our feedback, and that we made the final selections together, leading to a sense of pride and ownership in the final choices. Working with Nicholas was very easy. He was instantly responsive throughout. Because he was able to offer contractors with whom he has decades-long experience and relationships, he was able ensure that the project was managed on time, on budget, and with quality and accountability throughout. We've now lived in Nicholas's creation for about 6 months and are able to appreciate every day the subtle nuances that make our home feel like it was built just for us. It's the first time in our lives that we can truly say that we'd rather be in our home than anywhere else in the world. That is the true gift Nicholas's vision, care, and skill brought to our lives.

We hired Nicholas when we purchased a unit in a not yet constructed development in River North. We were overwhelmed with the finish selections and the electrical/mechanical plans. We are visual people and when left to our devices with nothing to view, we knew we needed professional help that would prevent us from making a costly mistake. We met Nicholas years earlier and always liked his style and attention to details and art. Nicholas came to our traditional North Shore home to develop an understanding of our taste and how best to pour that into new construction. During the selections process, Nicholas was always supplying mood boards for us make informed decisions. We wanted to transition our appreciation of the past into a modern downtown condo. His recommendations were always spot on. We loved how he absorbed our taste and incorporated our love of warm woods set in a sophisticated, contemporary design. Nicholas strengths are his knowledge of what is on trend and in his visual presentation on how to incorporate those trends into the final product, and pouring those into blueprints for our contractor. Nicholas has excellent, well curated resources across the U.S for furniture and accessories. Nicholas encouraged our involvement and respected our choices. Throughout the process, we always felt a part of his team. Today, we are absolutely thrilled with the results and happy to have developed a level of respect and friendship with Nicholas and his staff.

Nicholas is one of the most creative and dynamic designers I know. I've worked with him and his team on several luxury projects over the last 7 years. NMI continuously strives to source unique products. He actively listens to his client's; with his discerning eye, and meticulous attention to detail, guides them through the entire process from inception. His firm has the ability to adapt stylistically to a wide range of client's needs and can execute full house builds, renovations, kitchen and bath specifically, or a fresh face lift. We worked on an exhibition daring to challenge the prevailing laws of interior design with audacious compilations of contemporary art and furniture, curated by Mr. Moriarty. Nicholas did an amazing job incorporating our artist's work into the vignettes he designed.

Nicholas Moriarty is that rare combination of talent and professionalism which is an utter pleasure to work with. When tasked with curating an exhibition of art and furniture for Gallery19, Nicholas pulled together work from a dozen furniture artists as complement to his own custom made furniture, and filled Gallery19 with sophisticated, urban room vignettes. In addition, Nicholas provided advertising, promotion, and programming to support the show. As an owner of Gallery19, I was amazed with all that Nicholas accomplished for us, while maintaining his other interior design projects! Working with him was a complete success for us and I have no hesitation in labeling him the complete design package!

I've worked with Nicholas for many years and noted his well organized and thoughtful approach. He has a comfortable rapport with clients - makes an effort to learn how they live and considers throughout the design phase. When he's ready to show furniture there's always an explanation of how and why it will work in the space. Nicholas uses technology to streamline the process. Each project has a dedicated iPad presentation with proposed layout and furniture recommendations. It helps everyone focus on the project and make decisions.

We have worked with other designers and without a doubt NMI has provided the most thoroughly imagined and integrated design. We simply cannot say enough good things about working with Nicholas Moriarty and his team. From our first meeting to the completion of the project, Nicholas expertly oversaw, guided, and coordinated every aspect of our condo redesign and renovation. We never had one moment's worry or concern that something wasn't being handled. We chose NMI because we loved Nicholas' aesthetic but we were not prepared for the level of professionalism brought to every single detail. Nicholas recommended the most extraordinary general contractor and construction crew who did beautiful work and earned praise from everyone in the building who worked with them. From permitting to demolition, design, and selecting finishes and furnishings, Nicholas has been extraordinary. He has truly taken our ideas about what we were envisioning and translated them into a beautiful new home.

I did a master bath project with NMI. Nicholas designed the space impeccably with consideration to every detail. He was extremely knowledgeable and efficient. I hope to have the opportunity to work with NMI again!
