Panorama Remodeling

Wow. Was I lucky to find George at Panorama remodeling. Very hard to find good contractors in my area who are responsive, fast, professional, and reasonable due to the high volume of home construction and remodeling occurring. But George was all those things. I had him completely demo and rebuild a main bathroom in a 1957 vintage house and he did it in 3.5 days. He had 6 crew, including plumbers and electricians, blitz the job from start to finish. George was there 75% of the time. He also set me up with a designer at a tile studio he has worked with for 10 years. And one day, I was able to pick out all tiles, fixtures, and accessories for the bathroom. I can’t say enough for this company.

Panorama Remodeling will be the only contractor we use from now on! George is a master project manager; his crew works hard & has good workmanship. After receiving several quotes, we decided to go with Panorama Remodeling for our first renovation project. George came highly recommended by our friends & he stood out during the quote process as he was extremely communicative and helpful. We had a large unfinished basement that we wanted to finish with a bedroom, bathroom, wet bar, & 2 egress windows. There was some additional work added to our kitchen, pantry & laundry room too. About 95% of the work was completed in just 4 weeks. The remining work was only delayed due to back ordered cabinets. During the 1-2 week wait, George communicated with us regularly and we never felt forgotten, and he came back as soon as the materials arrived with the full crew in order to wrap up the project. Once he starts your job, it is his main focus until the project is completed. George is on site every day and is extremely hands on. He clearly loves what he does and treats his clients with a level of respect and kindness that you don’t normally hear about in this line of work. We had fears from hearing people’s renovation experiences and with two little kids and busy jobs we were nervous about delays. George reassured us that he would treat our home and family as his own. Another worry was quick but shoddy workmanship, I am detailed oriented and since it was our first time working with him, I had my list after each day of work so that I wouldn’t forget to mention it. Turns out that wasn’t even necessary, by the end of the project George not only saw everything I did and had his crew fix it but was pickier than us about how certain things looked & surprised us by completing work even better than we could have imagined. As an added bonus, everyone was so sweet to our kids and by the end the kids were sad to see them go. They loved giving them high fives and waves each morning. We can’t wait to have them all back for future projects.

We had a really fabulous experience with Panorama Remodeling. With George managing the project with daily visits and quick responses, his team was always on time, careful of our house and yard, and attentive to detail. They completely gutted our two 1940 bathrooms and remodeled them, expanding a shower and replacing all plumbing, including permits and inspections from the City of Alexandria. The crew was so fast and hard working and George had all his ducks in a row so there were zero delays. Pricing was lower than the competing bid who said it would take 6-8 weeks with a double team working (Panorama finished in 2 weeks!). We absolutely love our new bathrooms and plan to use Panorama Remodeling for our upcoming kitchen addition.

Prior to hiring Panorama Remodeling this year, we had a kitchen remodel go sideways in 2019. We were left with an unfinished kitchen by a fraudulent designer and an unlicensed contractor who was not experienced and also did not pull the required permits. All unknown to us until we were left hanging. We contacted several contractors for quotes to finish the project. No one wanted to touch the job – not wanting responsibility for deficiencies left by the previous contractor. After several months we found George from Panorama Remodeling. He was hesitant to take on the job but felt compassion for the position we were in and signed on for what would end up being a complete gut (once the permits were pulled) and redo. What an excellent job!!! All along the way he searched and found ways to save us money when he could. He is a perfectionist who actually cares about his customers and the quality of his productions. No corners were cut and every inch of the project is 100% professional, functional, and beautiful. At the end of the project – no punchlist!!! Amazing. His subs are also highly qualified and professional. As this is an older house, there are several repairs and upkeep projects we anticipate for the future. I will NEVER use another contractor for any work on this house. If I could give him 10 stars I would.

George and the team at Panorama helped us with a wide range of projects: a kitchen overhaul, two bathrooms, a powder room, changing a laundry room into a wet bar, and converting a garage into a home gym. We were new to remodeling and thankful to be able to trust George’s judgment and good taste throughout the process. He and the entire crew took ownership and pride in their work. George, in particular, acted as a thought partner as we worked through different design elements. He was (very) patient as we iterated through different ideas and concerns and always very responsive, if not even proactive in anticipating our needs. His team was fantastic and professional through the pandemic. Each team member brought unique and refined skills to the project. And at the end of each day, the team took time to clean up and sweep out, understanding that we were working from home. They were always considerate of our pets and children, who were living through the construction. One of the things we appreciated most was their patience with a number of our idiosyncratic asks. We know these added time and work for the team. But at no point did they push back, and instead made sure that we got the home, down to the nitty details, that we wanted. Over our time with them, we grew to have a lot of affection, admiration, and appreciation for this team. If we ever have future needs, Panorama will be our first call.

I would recommend Panorama Remodeling without reservation, and with confidence that regardless of the work for which they are hired, the products they use are elegant and durable, the workers are exceptionally skilled, and the work is completed to perfection. I am the granddaughter of immigrants who established themselves in the construction business. I learned two lessons from watching my father and uncles work: 1) you never throw good money after bad by cutting corners 2) you do the job right the first time or you don't take someone's money. Watching the work of the men who remodeled my home was reminiscent of my family, that is the highest compliment I can give them. The workers are highly skilled, know what they are doing, and were willing to discuss changes and options when my preferences shifted. They were also very clean workers causing little disruption to day to day living while the work was underway. Panorama began the job on time, sequenced the work sensibly, and completed the work within the estimated time frame. The quality of products and pricing made the remodel attainable and everyone was just plain nice and fun to work with. This company is the best. We believe in magic because of Panorama Remodeling. One minute our lives were in shambles following two consecutive floods in our basement, and the next - enter Panorama - we have a beautifully remodeled basement and a new shed and beautifully landscaped backyard. Most contractors we’ve worked with cost us a fortune in money, but more importantly, in time and stress. Panorama made our lives easier and for a very fair price. With Panorama, you can let go of your worries; George and his crew show up on time, communicate and solve issues quickly, execute every detail of the project to completion and satisfaction, and always clean up and leave the space better than when they arrived and better than expected. George supervises every step of the way, showing up daily to ensure the project is a success. George is our first phone call for ANY project, and he consistently delivers. We hired Panorama to help us with our master bathroom renovation. They installed shower wall tile and were a huge help in planning the design for it. They also installed floor tile and soft close shower doors. I wouldn't hesitate to hire Panorama again; they did an amazing job, were so easy to work with, personable, and left the bathroom project clean when finished. We will be recommending Panorama to neighbors and will be hiring them again on a future project.

We hired Panorama Remodeling to install floor tiles in our kitchen and second bathroom. We were very pleased with the results, and with George’s response to the minor problems that most always crop up on a remodeling job. They were prompt, reliable, pleasant and hard-working. We will definitely consider Panorama for any future remodeling projects.

Review of Panorama Remodeling… over the last 10 years I have had multiple home projects – from a complete interior renovation/remodeling, a new deck and even a three-season room. I have written reviews that, I believe are accurate and unbiased. Unfortunately, most of them have been negative. Nothings worse than spending a lot of money and NOT being happy with the entire build process and especially the finished product. Frustration can come from lengthy delays, poor craftsmanship, workers not showing up, nails and garbage all over the house or yard. George, the owner of Panorama Remodeling is doing an addition/renovation on my deck and old screened in porch. Both (deck and porch) being removed and replaced with a new “real” three-season room, stone fireplace, ceramic tile, etc. George’s team have been on-site every day – even when the weather conditions were poor at best – George and team were on the job ensuring they stay on track with promised completion date. The craftmanship is top quality – these guys do not cut corners. George is extremely flexible and easy to work with – Change Orders (CO) are few and far between because George and Panorama go out of their way to be flexible, understanding and helpful. While not the least expensive company available – with Panorama I received a very fair price and have been extremely happy with the results. They truly go above and beyond and for that we are extremely pleased! BTW, Panorama was recommended by a neighbor who had work done. Her assessment to me was the same as my experience – George and team are conscientious, professional, courteous and produce high end craftmanship. Panorama Design & Remodeling is HIGHLY recommended.

I worked with George on a significant remodel of my home including kitchen, bathrooms, and family room. George was absolutely the right choice. He was totally invested in the project, managed his team and the workflow efficiently, took pride in his work, and completed everything in a timely fashion. His years of experience was evident as he was able to quickly adjust to unanticipated problems, implement workable alternatives, and make changes to the scope of work (that will always come up) all without nickel and diming you. It is not often that you would describe a contractor as reliable, honest, budget conscious, timely and communicative - George was all those things - I couldn't be happier with his work and how the project turned out. I would recommend him without reservation to all. Do yourself a favor and take much of the uncertainty out of the renovation/remodeling process - use Panorama.

George is my go-to contractor. We first used his services to do a complete gut renovation of our kitchen, bathroom, and floors. We were traveling during the original demo work and had a friend come by to check on the progress. She's worked with different contractors before, and noted that George's team was on time, efficient, and cleaned up well after themselves every day, including hauling away any debris. It was great we didn't have to have a dumpster on our property! As work progressed on the house, George highlighted that our electrical work was very old and original to the 1941 house, and it might be prudent to update, especially since the walls were already open. He quoted a price that - after a little research on my part - I realized was very fair. George was exceedingly patient with all my questions and changes. It was apparent that he genuinely wanted us to be happy with the finished product, and any requests ("George, I know you've already run the cable this wall, but could you run it to the other one instead"; "George, I know I said I didn't want a 4 inch backsplash, but would you be able to put one in?") were met with "no problem, absolutely." However, he didn't over promise. When there were things that I asked for that he wasn't sure could be done, he told me he'd try his best but if it didn't work here was option B or C. Their efficiency was also very impressive. In fact, they probably could have finished everything even sooner if we picked out the materials faster! My recommendation to anyone using George is that once they start, they will progress faster than you think so have your tile, floor, hardware, etc all picked out. Since we were so pleased with George's renovation, we also used him when we wanted to put a three-story addition to our house. We originally had another project manager assigned, but we weren't happy with the communication and progress, so requested that George take over. Once he did, the entire project went so much more smoothly. As before, George was efficient and flexible. If we wanted to change something, it was either "absolutely, no problem" or a clear "that upgrade will be X amount, let me know if you want to go forward with it." So there were no surprises when it came to extra costs. He is also very responsive - when our basement flooded soon after work was completed because the breaker to the outlet where the sump pump was plugged in failed, I called George up very early on a Saturday morning in a panic, and his team was there in 30 minutes to diagnose the problem and rip out carpet and some drywall. George's prices are competitive for the area, and he's trustworthy and efficient. Highly recommend.
