Paradigm Renovation

Paradigm was our designer’s top choice for a general contractor for a major renovation. We are delighted with the result. Brothers Jon and David were great to work with and kept us apprised of progress remotely, as the work was done at a seasonal residence. I would add that we asked Paradigm to “think like an owner” and be on the lookout for other needs that their professional eye would spot. That resulted in change orders for various smaller elements that we were glad to have addressed at the same time.

Paradigm Renovations was the general contractor for our whole house renovation completed in 2018. They were professional, courteous, and kept us :in the loop" during the entire 8 month project. They used high quality subcontractors and materials achieving a remarkable make-over of our lake shore home. I would Paradigm Renovations and Jon Faris a five start rating.

Jon and his team at Paradigm completed a kitchen renovation in our home. It was a pretty extensive project but Jon, David and team were very communicative through out the project. Many contractors were in and out. All were very friendly and seemed to work diligently to make the project move along a quickly as possible. The builder App that was used was extremely helpful to inform us of timelines and any issues that needed to be addressed. Jon also put us in touch with an interior designer who was a big help to us to assist with picking out finishes, lighting, cabinets ect. We really love the end product and would recommend Paradigm to anyone who is looking to renovate their kitchen.

Beautiful job on our first-floor renovation! They were very flexible with changes that we made during the process and always responded quickly if we had any questions or concerns. I wouldn't use any other company to renovate my home.

These guys are the absolute best. They helped us design our dream home and bring it to life on the north side of Holland. I have worked with Jon on my personal residence and two commercial buildings. Jon and his team did an excellent job on all three. Everything was exactly on budget and the work quality was excellent. As a designer, I've had the pleasure of working with Paradigm on multiple occasions. Jon is an outstanding builder who consistently brings projects in on time, on budget, and with the highest levels of quality. He is open minded and believes in a team approach, which always brings the best results in my opinion. But what really stands out about Jon for me is his calm demeanor and his excellent listening skills. I can see clearly that clients enjoy working with him and he definitely earns their trust.

Our project was a major renovation with structural, elevation and floor plan changes. Paradigm competently and efficiently organized and executed the entire process. Never having undertaken a project of this kind, we trusted Jon's honesty and integrity and when cost issues/overruns occurred, we feel the outcome was fair for both parties. The finished product was better than we anticipated. The real proof of Paradigm's honest work ethic is the fact that they have stood by their promise of retuning at the one year anniversary to fix any areas in the home that need attention.

Here is our story: We were very nervous about picking a contractor and entrusting someone with our biggest project, and thankfully we were referred to Paradigm Renovation. We reached out to Paradigm Renovation and a few other builders for our remodel project. Our requirements were: full-service support, and we also knew that we did not want to be "nickel and dimed" on the job. Both of those requirements were because we have an old house, and we knew it was cobbled together in some ways due to previous additions, and that there would be surprises. Jon/Paradigm Renovation assured us that he has experience with older homes, that he knows there will be surprises, and he plans accordingly. He didn't add any miscellaneous cushions to his bid. Paradigm did an onsite visit, looked at our plans, and understood our timeline. Jon's direct team was very friendly and helpful, and we liked them right away too. Additionally, all of the subcontractors I met onsite also had positive things to say about Paradigm Renovation, which is important to us. We like to know that the people we do business with are good to their people too. I witnessed positive and professional interactions between Paradigm team members and subcontractors on a regular basis. Jon assured us there would be no surprises in the costs, and there weren't. His bid was his bid. Anything that was changed was at our direction/discretion - like we decided to have a new water heater installed - and there was a clear line item change order with this information for us to approve before any work was started. This makes it sound too perfect… Did our job go perfectly? No, there were some issues, many of which were addressed and taken care of before we even had to say anything! And if/when we did mention an issue, they always made us feel like the customer was right, and that it was absolutely their job to make it right for us. They jumped at the opportunity to align to our expectations. Even when there were issues, and if it wasn't done perfectly the first time, it was done perfectly in the end, and the best part about that is that Jon/Paradigm Renovation is more of a perfectionist that I am. I have reached out to Jon and his team several times since we finished last Summer 2017, with questions, concerns, etc., and they are so quick to respond. They treat us like the best customers in the world, and stand by their work, and the work of the subcontractors, in a way that seems almost old-fashioned for so many in this industry. It was a pleasure to work with them!

I have the highest praise for Paradigm Renovation. We just completed 2 major remodels with them which lasted a total of 7 months and I can honestly say that we enjoyed the entire process. Their communication, attention to detail and integrity are the best I have seen from a builder. Kitchen remodels are very complex and messy and our home was left spotless at the end of every day. You will be very pleased with their work, their contractors are friendly, clean cut and trustworthy.
