Peter Flooring

This is the worst flooring contractor in Chicago. Completely dishonest and in my opinion criminal. Peter will come out to give you a quote and when they can start. After that the communication ends. They send wood to your house that sits and takes up space. Calls go unanswered and they don't start weeks until they promised. When they start doing the work, they will increase the price on you and invoice you for way more than the agreed upon price. When you try to explain that this isn't what we had agreed upon they threaten to send it to collections. Shady company and deserves no business. Avoid at all costs.

Peter Flooring was the best of all flooring companies we researched. Thomas and John installed and stained our new hardwood floors beautifully. They were diligent workers and took pride in their accomplishment. Loved the precise measurements and cut around a curved staircase. We made the right choice in picking Peter Flooring on our project.

Peter was my go to for multiple projects from flood damage to redoIng stairs . Peter is extremely knowledgeable in the craft of hardwood and gives you multiple options to address your concerns . Look no further. Peter and his company are the best hard wood floor refinishers I have ever found and hands down the best in Chicago. I don't say this lightly. I quoted 7 hard wood floor refinishing companies to do the job for me -- all of which came out to the house for quotes. I had about 2,500 square feet including 2 stair cases that needed to be sanded, stained and finished in a brand new home. Peter and his team have the best equipment including a dustless sander and a team that truly cares and is very careful on the job. His quote was detailed and thoroughly explained the products he was going to use. (Other companies were really evasive and some up-charged you to use the best products -- Peters flooring uses the best no matter what). The baseboards were left nearly pristine and they were very careful on any seams where the wood met tile, marble, cabinets, or baseboards. They did a meticulous job and I trusted them so much I let them in my house all alone for 9 days. So many other floor companies tried to talk me into cheaper products (oil based, only 1 -2 top coats, etc) or not using a dustless sander saying it didn't make a big difference (OH YES IT DOES). I walked in the day after the project was done and there was no dust residue anywhere and no smell. Peters flooring uses the best quick drying product that last and gives you 3 top coats of the hardest finisher = the best. We used Bona brand Cocoa stain on red oak floors. The color came out beautifully even and chose a satin finish. I've done the research for you, save your self the time and just book Peter for your refinishing project. I`ve new floor installed in my house. Installation was completed this Friday - I really feel I`ve moved into a new house! Peter helped me to select the right design patterns and were able to adjust his schedule to our everyday needs as we have twin toddlers. You can rely on Peter Flooring as their quality of work is exceptional!

I'm trying to put my house for sale. By talking with my relator she said to add the value to my property I must do something with my staircase (previously with carpet). I decided to refinish the hardwood staircase which hope of getting the buyers faster. Peter got us very competitive quote, got the job scheduled on a very short notice, finished it on time and on budget with the outcome exceeding out expectations. His guys are using dustless sending machines so there was extremely little wood dust left after the job was done. I will hire them again for our new house, and do recommend them to others. This is the 2nd time I used Peter Flooring and I am very satisfied again. The recent project we done was to refinish my kitchen and living space flooring. Peter came out to do the estimate and I was impressed again with his floor knowledge and new products he offered me.
