Absolutely recommend the team at Phase One Design for your design needs! Claire was masterful capturing my thoughts, needs and desires into the design. We just broke ground last month and can't wait to see it come to life.

Professional, engaging, energetic team who all took the time to get to know me and my project's goals. They brought superb ideas to the table. They utilized professional relationships and technology resources to bring ideas to life. Brainstorming sessions were always fun! The drafting process met deadlines as promised. This was going to be my retirement dream home and having never built a home, and new to the Columbia SC area, I had no idea where to start or who to contact. The architect from my HOA told me that of all the plans he had seen to approve, Phase One, was the best company he had seen and highly recommended them. They turned out to be a great company to work with and Pam the owner, was very knowledgeable and helpful! I was still living in the Northern VA area and limited on the number of trips to come down and work with them, but they came to the rescue. Ellianna my designer, worked on Zoom meetings with me in-between visits. She was wonderful! She was so patient with me, guiding me thru the process and listening carefully to my wish list and requirements for the house. I had an idea for the floor plans, but she provided good suggestions and ideas in fine tuning them. My builder, Jody Morris, from Morris Homes LLC, also happened to be an old friend of Pam’s and joined in some of the in-person meetings with Ellianna, as a team they worked seamlessly together! The house turned out beautifully and I couldn’t be happier with it or choosing Phase One to get me started.

We are extremely particular and had been working with an architect for a couple of years on our home renovation with no real movement. We went to phase one at the recommendation of a close friend who had used them for a major renovation and had been extremely satisfied with the end result. They were pretty upfront that they charged more than other contractors but for good reason. Pam and Al at Phase one were absolutely fantastic from day 1 and God bless Jon and Azalea building group (their associated contractor) because they listened to every want/need and paid attention to every bit-picky little detail we were focused in on. They gave us our dream kitchen and hope to use them again soon for an addition. Worth every penny!!

Phase One was very innovative in designing a tiny second bathroom for our small Shandon home. We had a door in the hallway that opened to steps leading to the basement. They put in a floor over the steps, closed off the hallway door, and made a pocket door entrance to the bathroom from our guest bedroom. And they found the perfect tiny sink to place on a marble shelf. So clever!

The team at Phase One took my unusual requirements and gave me the best solution for our needs. We wanted to renovate and add a second shower room upstairs. As my first time doing renovations, I appreciated the time taken and thoroughness from everyone who worked with us. The suggestion to have a structural engineer assess the project feasibility was exactly what we needed. A fair solution was proposed, and we hope to move forward with the project in the future.

Me and my husband recently purchased a home which will require a lot of TLC! I reached out to Phase One to inquire about their services regarding us starting the whole renovation process. It's very overwhelming when you want to accomplish everything you desire but, don't know where to start and how much all will approximately cost! We had a long wish list of what we most certainly wanted, and sort of an idea of what we needed but, not necessarily the order in which we needed to tackle all first and foremost. Pam and her team were such a GREAT help with prioritizing our wish list, providing approximate costs and explaining what we should initially be focusing on. Even though we had to face the fact that we unfortunately would not be able to financially achieve, in the order we had desired, all items on our wish list, we regardless, now have a starting point to pace ourselves at which is a relief! Pam's expertise and advice given, will now allow us to move forward with making smarter sound choices that will benefit us in the long run which in itself is.... PRICELESS!

We've had the best experience with Phase One. The entire team is awesome! We've mostly worked with Claire and she's great. She takes lots of notes during meetings/discussions and sees to it that every request is covered. Pam is one of the owners and she's been very helpful throughout the entire process. We're using Azalea Building Group for the renovation. John with Azalea has been so much help. It's very refreshing to have him give honest feedback on what may/may not work or look good. As I previously mentioned, everyone has been a pleasure to work with so I'm sorry I can't name everyone. If there's one thing you can take from my review, it's this. You know those moments where you say to yourself "I wish I would have known" or "I wish I would have spent the money to do it the right way." This is that moment! If you use Phase One you won't regret it.

I had no idea how to come up with a plan and drawings to build from. Phase One was the answer.

What can I say about this wonderful company. They were recommended by someone we knew in the area and we are so grateful for finding them. Pam and CJ got us on track to build our dream home. They are so honest and trustworthy and we feel like they are now part of the family.

My old roommate was working on a renovation with Phase 1 and suggested we talk to them about our renovation project. It was the single best recommendation I’ve ever received. Pam and CJ saw the house, and we talked about the conservative options and the major options we had. My husband and I had ideas about what we wanted, and Pam and CJ gave us constructive criticism on what was reasonable and/or useful. Lastly, they told us it might be in our best interest to sell the house instead of renovating. They told us to talk with a realtor before making any big decisions. Pam gave us two contacts, and the first realtor contacted us the next day. Less than a month after meeting with Pam and CJ, we sold our house! I am so grateful to them for being honest with us. They did not have to suggest talking to a realtor, but they did anyway. I cannot speak more highly of their talent and their integrity. If we decide to renovate in the future, we would definitely use them!

Pam and Jon did a great job on the renovation of our 30-year old Kitchen and Master Bath. Not only did they design our renovation, they also handled the construction (and finished on time). They stand behind their work and have come by the house multiple times for small touch-ups. Highly recommend!!

We purchased a 70's ranch house while we still lived in Boston and Phase One was the very best option for us when we needed to get our ideas, plans and budget together for renovating the house. The Phase One team was very responsive, creative, and helpful. We hired Phase One to convert our screen in porch into a more useable, closed space. We had a few ideas for the space and had met with a few other contractors, although we still felt kind of lost as what to do with the space. That all changed after meeting with CJ. CJ was very welcoming to our ideas and gave his valuable input as well until we came up with an option that worked for all of us. CJ was able to show us computer renditions of what our new space would look like and go over every detail before agreeing to terms. The timing of estimated start date, along with the finish date, were both right on point. The construction team was very professional and respected the rest of our space and lives like it was their own. They cleaned up before leaving each day and the team was very good about communicating on what was going on and their progress. CJ came by often to check on things and discuss with us as well. We didn’t get nickle’d and dime’d for small changes that needed to be done and weren’t included in the original quote. The final product was amazing and we are still extremely pleased with their work. CJ has kept in touch and was always available for any questions and concerns. We could not recommend them enough and would use them for future projects in a heartbeat.

We hired Phase One based on the recommendation of friends of friends and were extremely pleased with the results. I have worked with Pam Crane on many different projects over the past three years as one of her part-time designers. She is a pro. Phase 1 provided creative ideas in their design for remodeling my tiny Shandon kitchen. They discovered a chimney that could be removed to greatly enlarge my pantry. They were very perceptive of what I liked about my existing cabinets and made sure to support those features in the new design. They suggested new features for the kitchen such as a wine refrigerator and a pot filler over the stove. They provided a detailed plan and estimate for the remodeling and were enthusiastic about taking on the project. TFO Contracting Solutions has continued to provide clever solutions to my concerns such as providing a cabinet spot for my tennis bag. Jon Crane has been very helpful in taking the time to recommend appliances and fixtures to fit in with the new cabinets and my old home. The sub-contractors have been very professional, skilled, and careful to clean up each day.

Pam Crane is a visionary in home design. She redesigned the front of our home along with several other rooms. We knew we wanted to update but we did not know what needed updating and how. Pam was able to build a plan with options based on our home. We loved working with Phase One!!

TFO Contracting Solutions were absolutely great! This was our first remodel and we hired them to help us navigate the Phase 1 design portion of our project. TFO not only created a comprehensive cabinet, kitchen and master bathroom plan, they also created and explained various options that we had not considered. Pam Crane and her team of creative artists at TFO Contracting Solutions recently turned our modest 1940s 3 BR 1 bath home into a spacious 4 BR 2.5 bath modern showpiece by adding less than 500 heated square feet. A huge screened porch connected by a breezeway to a "catio" for our furbabies completed the update. This is the best business relationship I have ever had. The project came in on time and in budget. We were given detailed reports regularly on the project's status; we met regularly with Pam and her team to discuss and double-check details; we were consulted about any changes that needed to be made. I felt that Pam, Jon, and Sheila took a personal interest in the project and that their main goal was to satisfy us. My husband and I hired TFO Contracting Solutions to provide us with project drafts and a budget for a large scale remodel we we're planning to complete. We initially hired them because they were an all inclusive contracting service, meaning that they would take us from design through construction. We interviewed several agencies that could provide this service, and TFO was the best we saw. I loved Pam's vision and her easy personality. She makes you feel like a friend from day one Pam and John were great, visiting multiple times and bringing subcontractors with them to give realistic estimates of both money and time needed to complete various projects. TFO provided us with three (!) Draft designs to choose from, and then tweaked the one we picked to make it perfect. Ultimately, using TFO's services helped us to realize that a remodel would not fix the largest issues we had with our home. Their attention to detail in the drafts and specific, line item budget ultimately helped us decide. . . To sell! I don't think my husband and I could have made that decision without having gone through this process. Completing the design and budget with Pam and John allowed us to realistically look at the work to be done, the time frame to complete it, and the cost of the job. When we really sat down at the end of the process and looked at the proposal they had completed, it helped us to decide to move on from that home and into our current one. She allowed me to make changes as we went along so that the end result was exactly the way I wanted it. Her subcontractors are easy to work with and did an excellent job especially the cabinet maker. Any concerns or questions along the way, she was right on it and eased my mind. I loved working with her. Pam made it fun and enjoyable and kept the project on track.
