StoneCroft Construction recently replaced our old wooden deck with a steel frame, composite deck & stairs. Philip Purdy and his small, talented Stonecroft Construction Team are EXCEPTIONAL! Philip has very high standards and he runs his business with absolute integrity. Before we started, Philip offered suggestions on design and products. We followed his suggestions as he knows the quality and capabilities of all the available deck building materials and how they hold up in the Colorado climate/conditions. Because of his design and steel framing expertise, we were able to modify our deck footprint to add square footage to the deck, even after they started installing the deck joists. All permits, approvals and inspections from the Pikes Peak Regional Building office were flawless. Philip's Team is meticulous in their measuring, leveling, cutting, fit & finish, and detail work - this attention to detail clearly shows in the final product. I researched deck builders for 2 years before I chose StoneCroft. It was worth the wait now that I see firsthand the quality of their work every time I step foot on my deck. Philip and his team at StoneCroft are true craftsmen. They were also polite, professional, and considerate. I am typically a “do-it-yourself” type of person, and find hiring someone frustrating, as there will never have the same care or attention to detail that I will have. This project was too big for me to tackle though, so I hired StoneCroft. There did an incredible job. Every mitre cut is tight, spacing is perfect, and even the silver screws under the deck were painted black to match the black steel frame. Philip’s crew built my deck as if they were building their own.
