Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, Sharon. It’s unfortunate to hear that your experience with Piece by Peace Designs did not align with your expectations. While we strongly disagree with the characterization and many of the claims made in your review, we acknowledge that your perception of the process led to frustration, and we’re disappointed to hear you walked away feeling this way.

At Piece by Peace Designs, we take great pride in maintaining high standards of professionalism, integrity, and communication. We fully understand that design is a personal and sometimes challenging process, and it is never our goal to push an agenda that disregards our clients' preferences. While Shanti may have offered her professional expertise and guidance to ensure the best outcomes for your project, it was always done with the intention of collaborating with you, the client, to achieve a successful result. If there were times when you felt your concerns weren’t fully heard, please know that was never our intent, as our goal has always been to serve you with respect and professionalism.

Our design process and deliverables are guided by the scope outlined in our agreements and handled in alignment with industry standards. Based on our records, the project progressed accordingly until services were terminated by you, the client, prior to the creation of the construction drawings, which is why those specific deliverables were not provided.

Regarding the concerns raised about measurements and cabinet orders, we would like to clarify a few important points. The preliminary measurements taken by Shanti were for conceptual design purposes only. As a standard in the industry, final dimensions are verified by contractors and vendors. The renderings presented were intended to convey overall design intent and are not substitutes for shop drawings or construction documents. Cabinet shop drawings would have been produced by the vendor and approved by you prior to fabrication. Any discrepancies between renderings and vendor documentation would have been addressed at that time, but your request that Shanti cease contact prevented those conversations from taking place.
As for the cabinetry order, Piece by Peace Designs did submit the cabinet order to the vendor. However, once submitted, the processing, lead time, and internal workflow are managed solely by the vendor and are not within our control.

Additionally, regarding your request for a contractor’s license, Piece by Peace Designs is an interior design firm and has never represented itself as a licensed contractor. As we do not provide general contracting services, that request was not applicable to our working relationship.

We are especially concerned by the statements made about Shanti’s behavior and character. We are committed to maintaining respectful, professional, and collaborative relationships with all clients and project partners. Throughout this project, Shanti consistently aimed to communicate with professionalism and to offer guidance rooted in your goals. If there were moments when you felt otherwise, please know that was never the intent.

Finally, while it’s been suggested that vendors or contractors were relieved when services ended, we can only speak to the professional conduct we maintained with all parties involved. Differences in perspective and approach can arise in any project, but they do not reflect the values or behavior of our team.

Design is a uniquely personal experience, and we understand that the dynamic between client and designer may not always be the perfect fit. Although this collaboration did not produce the outcome you were seeking, we wish you the very best in completing your project with a team that better suits your preferences.
