With highly skilled masons, carpenters, metalsmiths and plant specialists on-board, our installation team is fully equipped to handle all elements of landscape construction. Our project managers overlap regularly with our designers, which assures that the nuances developed during the design are realized during installation. Founded in 2001 alongside our sister business, Pistils Nursery, our projects range from small urban residences to expansive rural landscapes, as well as select commercial sites. I engaged with Pistil's for a full overhaul of a very difficult sloped/hillside landscape remodel with a 5steep grade and unforgiving soil and access. Adding to the complexity was also a surprise pandemic in the middle of the project! While it was not the easiest project for anyone involved, I would 100% work with the Pistil's team again. They have a beautiful design aesthetic (which is why I originally chose them) but really why I would work with them again is because of their client service. We had to manage through some challenging hiccups and every time Pistil's was patient, collaborative and solution oriented. I am beyond happy with the end result and I'm convinced their landscape helped me sell my house in the summer of 2022. Big ups to Glenn, David and the whole crew!

We engaged with Pistils on a large-scale overhaul of our yard. They essentially redesigned and updated nearly every aspect of our property, from our lawn to our concrete back patio to fencing to plants. We are very, very happy with the results. We especially liked working with Pistils because of their end-to-end services, from the thoughtful and excellent design team all the way through the high quality, thorough installation work. Everyone we worked with was extremely reliable, conscientious, and courteous. The Pistils crew spent several months working in our yard and always treated our home like it was their own. For such a massive project, the entire process felt as stress-free as possible, and all the work was done with excellent quality and craftsmanship. We've received endless compliments from neighbors and friends about our new yard. We would strongly recommend Pistils to anyone looking for landscaping design and build services!

Big shout-out to our Pistils team! Mikiel, Andie, David, Shane, and Chris were outstanding. Estimated 5 weeks for the project but polished it off in 3. Pistils now has their stone and steel work integrated into the business as opposed to contracted out, so the guys were at our job 5 days per week and not getting rotated around and spread thin. Did a very fine job installing a bluestone patio, steel retaining walls and a steel cable / cedar fence - it looks amazing. If you're looking for a high-end finish and experience, we highly recommend Pistils.

David and Mikiel were amazing to work with! After having a few nightmare contractor experiences we decided to go with a full service Design-Build firm for our backyard renovation. It was absolutely worth every Penny. I’ve never had such a smooth timely and professional experience for a renovation. Literally no stress! The tram they chose were on time every single day and cleaned up every single day. My neighbors were so impressed by their professionalism and consideration. We selected Pistils after reading a review on Houzz for a similar landscape situation (hillside and water issues). We "clicked" with them from the start, and a relationship of trust ensued. Our project included a 3/4 acre lot, with two complex storm water drains, an outdoor kitchen, and a low maintenance desire in our landscape, that backs up to undeveloped wooded property. The landscaping was for a new construction home, so they had to work with/around the ongoing construction crew. Pistil's design expertise is incredible, adding elements of Corten steel "art" throughout our property. One unexpected area was when we mentioned we wanted a small "rose garden" and they created a garden with walking path through it that we see every time we enter our drive. Throughout the project, we modified things, with bids presented before we approved, and this made the outcome even better. In addition to their design and implementation expertise, having a project manager that helped us all stay focused on timelines was an unbelievable asset. The crew that did the implementation could not have been more respectful, and we felt like they were family by the time the project was complete. Overall, we enthusiastically recommend them for any landscaping project

I can't say enough good things about the people who work at Pistils and their work. I am completely ignorant about landscaping, asked a hundred questions, changed my mind about the design a dozen times and they were so patient with me. The final product is nothing short of a work of art.

We hired Pistils to help us design and remodel our backyard, which included the removal of two trees, a new deck, a hardscaped patio with a gas fire pit, and a new lawn and plantings. It was a small backyard but a large project, which involved changing pretty much every aspect of our yard. It was a pleasure working with the Pistils team. The designers listened to my ideas and offered their suggestions - ultimately, helping me to envision and create exactly what we wanted. The process was easy, fluid and quick. The construction of the project took longer than expected (primarily due to COVID I believe), but we were extremely happy with the results. Most importantly - the team kept me informed of the timing and progress, and allowed me to make revisions to the project throughout construction. The team on site was respectful and professional - the quality of the work was exceptional. Highly recommended!

Wow! What an amazing experience it has been to work with Pistils these past few months. Our backyard feels like a hidden oasis and is one of the most stunning in our neighborhood. They carefully listened to our needs every step of the way and proposed designs that illustrated the talent from working with professionals over DIY. The ideas they had were more creative than anything we could have imagined ourselves. They made it easy to collaborate on various elements to ensure our needs were met. The process of scoping, quoting, and payment was very straightforward. They responded promptly and helpfully to our many(!) questions and requests. Every person was genuinely interested in ensuring we got the backyard of our dreams. We received constant updates on progress and the entire team working in our backyard was great! They made everything so easy. We've spent every day in awe of the beauty of our new backyard. We couldn't be happier we went with Pistils and highly recommend them!

We contracted with Pistils for a backyard patio, walkway on the side of the house, and steps in front. Pistil's estimate was less costly than the other company we discussed the project with, while offering better material than the competitor offered. We said we wanted something simple but natural looking, without alot of flourishes. Pistils didn't provide us with any sort of preliminary sketch of how the final product would look, but in preliminary discussions and several walk-throughs they seemed to understand what we wanted. They installed bluestone for the patio, with a different natural stone for a low retaining wall. (It looks fantastic.) As the project proceeded, Pistils' crew made a couple minor design modifications, based upon discussions with us, with positive results. The crew members were really nice to have around, always discussed any issues with us in advance, and they were skilled at their jobs. The Final product was on budget and exceeded expectations.
