We had an outstanding experience working with Wade on the design and permitting of our ADU and would 100% hire him again for a future project. From the beginning, he was incredibly responsive, thorough, and easy to communicate with. He really listened to what we wanted, provided thoughtful expert advice, and after our feedback on the first draft, essentially nailed the design we had envisioned. The quality of his drawings was also excellent. The plans were extremely detailed, well organized, and thoughtfully put together, covering everything needed to take the project from design through permitting and into construction. It was clear how much care and expertise went into the entire plan set. We also hired Wade to handle the permit coordination, and it was absolutely worth it. He was incredibly proactive and stayed on top of the process from submission all the way through approval. He responded quickly to City comments, met directly with City staff when needed, worked through their questions and requirements, and advocated for us and our project throughout the process. Most importantly, I never had to chase him, remind him, or push things forward. He was always already on it. I could completely trust him to handle his part of the project, which not only made the process easier for us but also helped keep everything moving as quickly as possible. We had also agreed on an accelerated timeline for the design, and Wade delivered exactly as promised. Throughout the entire project, he made himself available for video calls when needed, took the time to explain things clearly, and consistently gave us thoughtful advice rather than simply doing what was asked. I genuinely can’t recommend Wade highly enough. Excellent design and drawings, clear communication, reliable timelines, proactive permit coordination, and someone who truly cares about getting the project across the finish line. We were very happy to have him on our team, and if we take on another project in Texas, Wade would absolutely be our first call.

Wade is truly amazing I don't take the time to typically write reviews. But I choose to spend my time when I feel like I need to make sure people know someone is truly great. Let’s start with the basics - he is very knowledgeable and professional. He knows City of Austin code very well. Wade was always willing to think outside the box if there was an design constraint and find many possible solutions. But the things that set him apart - Wade prioritized communication and timeliness. He was very good about picking up and if he ever did miss a call, would respond/call back quickly. He is always willing to take your needs and prioritize them according to your schedule, which is huge in this industry. The single biggest thing to point out is the level of service. This process is very involved and typically involves many conversations and emails. It requires many back and forths and there are so so many details. It is very easy for an architect to get fatigue and lose patience. Wade never had an issue. Not even close, if anything he seemed to get stronger, something very rare in service industries. Usually, they want to move on to make more money. But that was not the case here. I was sure that I was going to drive him crazy with all the revisions but not only did he do all of them, there wasn't even a hint of frustration on his end. He even reassured me that it was ok ( and part of the job ). While the words made me feel a little better, his actions and attitude was very evident and it was clear that he did mean what he said and it wasn't simply to "keep the customer happy". He was genuinely happy to do it, and that makes this experience so much easier. Without making the review any longer, the experience can be summarized in 1 sentence - You can't go wrong with Wade.

Wade has been great to work with on this project - he was very patient with all of the back and forth as we moved through the process of nailing down exactly what we were wanting. He also shared his ideas based on our named priorities and then circled back around to remind us of our initial priorities. Good people!

Wade was great to work with as we were coming up with ideas for and enhancements to our basement addition plan. He took the time to understand what we wanted and needed through site visits, emails, calls, and video conferences, and he was very patient and supportive as we worked through multiple iterations of the design to finally get to the final plans and drawings. Wafe was proffessional and prompt in his responses, but my favorite part about working with Wade was his positive attitude and approachable nature. He made sure we were fully engaged and on board with the process by asking good questions, taking the time to test conceptual designs, and then moving forward to a final set of drawings that we can take forward. We would definitely work with Wade again on future projects!

Wade did a great job helping us with our remodel! Communication and timeliness were great, I would definitely use Plan it Texas again!

Wade and his company are amazing to work with. My wife and I recently had a couple of kids and needed our 3br/1ba house to have a second bathroom and walk-in closet. He really listened to what we wanted and worked with us until it was exactly the way we wanted. We were able to fit more in to the space than originally planned because of some design ideas he had. He has a wealth of knowledge about all of the options you have, from floor plan to finishes to paint, and will recommend them to you is you ask. Wade is highly professional and delivers exactly what he says he will. The thing that stuck out the most about working with Plan It Texas was every contractor we got to bid on commented on the level of detail in his plans. Several contractors remarked that they had not ever seen plans with this level of detail in them- you'll see what I mean. I give Plan It Texas a enthusiastic 5 star rating and we will be using them again in the future.

I am on my third project with Plan it Texas. Wade, the owner is an utmost professional whos attention to detail is 2nd to none. As a contractor I have worked with a lot of different trades over the course of many projects. A lot people over promise and under deliver, Wade is amazing at communicating and setting proper expectations.

I have worked with Wade with Plan It Texas on four separate projects. The first was the design of an added master suite and reconfiguration of a 1970s house. Wade knew exactly what kinds of issues we could run into when renovating an older home and planned ahead for them. His design was functional and creative. The second project was to tweak the design of a modern home plan I bought on the internet. Wade made changes to the plan to make it fit my family better. The third project was for a 3000sqft lake house which would be used as a short term rental. I started with a very basic plan I bought online. Wade asked a ton of questions to see exactly how each room was meant to function in the context of a short term rental. Wade was able to really maximize functionality for groups of up to 16 while keeping form at the forefront. The home turned out to be beautiful and impressive, comfortably fitting multiple families for vacations. The fourth and largest project is for a nearly 5000sqft modern farmhouse. My favorite part about working with Wade is his profound attention to detail. He wants to learn about your habits and behavior so that he can design a 100% custom space. He really goes the extra mile when to help me realize exactly what I want and need from my forever home, taking into account details as small as a light switch that might annoy me someday if I always have to reach for it with my non-dominant hand. Wade can be trusted to keep budget in mind at every turn. 10/10!

Wade was incredible to work with-- he really listened to our wants and needs for our project and was very detailed oriented.
