Rebecca is a visionary! She has been the eyes and guiding force through 3 major renovations and numerous small projects. She approaches each project with an open mind and keen eye based on budget, owners vision and materials. . Rebecca problem solved and listened to our wishes and concerns while searching for solutions to home areas with difficult layout areas. Our master bathroom was transformed to a spa like feel, with a small footprint. She found a way to create storage utilizing vertical space as well as raised medicine cabinets with power. She researched and brought us to see endless stone, flooring, lighting etc. Budget was always the forethought when she would bring us ideas and materials that would fit within that scope. Rebecca has a gift of bringing a vision to life. Heartfelt recommendation, you will not be disappointed.

Your card was in the mail when we got home. My wife needed your help. I have always had an appreciation for people who are very good at their work. You are exceptional. Rebecca did an outstanding job transforming a house, originally built in 1911, into the home of my dreams. I should say that I'm probably not the easiest client, because I have very definite ideas and have been involved in several previous remodels. On top of that, we began planning for the project in the summer and fall of 2019 (perhaps you can see where this is going). The very first challenge that Rebecca solved was how to create a stair system that linked 4 levels of the home (basement to attic) within this old structure. She was able to link all the levels (the attic had been completely inaccessible previously) within the constraints of the foundation and load-bearing beams. Once she'd solved the stair problem the existing exterior entrance, located midway between the basement and main level could be removed, recovering 120 square feet for the main level. The initial plan involved the stairway, new entrance addition, creating a bedroom suite (with full bath) from the attic, and a new owner's bedroom and bath. Work began in late February of 2020 with demo completed 1 week prior to Covid lockdown. The pandemic was an additional challenge, but Rebecca was unfazed. Not only had she created a great design, and helped me to make great selections, but once work began she continued to problem solve. A variance was required to add the new entrance and that process was slowed by Covid as well. Rebecca segmented the project such that work could start on the stairs, attic, and owner's bedroom, while the variance moved slowly through the pandemic-addled bureaucracy. Impressed by the other two bathrooms she designed, we decided to remodel the main floor bathroom as well. Here again, there were numerous space challenges that Rebecca solved creatively. The result was "one of a kind" and it has received many, many compliments. The initial, 2-stage project was completed in December of 2020. I was so pleased with how the rest of the house had turned out that I went to Rebecca again for suggestions about what I might do with the kitchen. It had been remodeled previously, with newer wood cabinets, but it had a wide galley layout and it wasn't very functional. Rebecca recommended that I consider rotating the layout with a 6 foot bump out addition to complement the new entrance. This absolutely transformed the kitchen! The new space incorporated an existing bay into a dining space that opened onto an existing deck. The kitchen now has an island, with seating for four, and tons of cabinet space. Rebecca also recommended putting in (!) a wall between the kitchen and the existing formal dining room, thereby providing >7 additional feet of cabinet space! The dining room still has a view of the back deck via a 36" pocket door, so it still feels very "open". Just a great solution! Rebecca kept me informed and involved in every part of the almost 3 year process. I know that the fabulous end result was because of Rebecca. I highly recommend her!

Rebecca saw my limited budget as a fun (I think!) challenge and turned my house into perfection! She can solve the trickiest budget v. design puzzles. And she’s easy/fun to work with. I get compliments all the time on all rooms in the house (and I sometimes give Rebecca the credit)

My husband and I met with Rebecca in January 2022 to talk about a remodeling project for our kitchen and back-entry way. One of the first things we shared with her is that we wanted the kitchen to look different. She wrote that in big letters across the top of her tablet. She definitely knocked the design out of the park! It is absolutely gorgeous, and we could not be happier with the design that she created. Rebecca took a lot of time discussing the former design with us to understand what we did and didn't like. The design that she provided is extremely functional, well thought out, and unique. We worked with Rebecca in 2018 on a bathroom remodel project, and she was so much fun to work with and a wealth of knowledge. When we decided we were ready to embark on another remodel project in our home - there wasn't any question about who we wanted to work with and that is Rebecca Ryan. She made the whole process from the initial design session to the selections for tile, wall color, lighting, plumbing, and granite so much fun. Rebecca invested time prior to our selection meeting to pull together some different recommendations for cabinets, knobs, and plumbing and we absolutely LOVED everything she recommended. When we went to make our plumbing selections, the associate at the store commented about how fortunate we were to work with Rebecca because she is so talented, and I couldn't agree more. Rebecca was truly a pleasure to work with!

We did a pretty extensive main floor remodel and Rebecca was the designer on the contractor team we hired. She was one of the main reasons we chose the contractor we did and she 100% delivered on her part in the process. She worked closely with us in the design process from drawing up the vision for the kitchen to helping us pick out every finish for our space. She was patient and always gave us sound guidance from her professional opinion while at the same time allowing us to have the autonomy to choose based on our preferences. There were a few times in the process where we had hiccups related to the design and finishes we chose and she always advocated for us so well. I can't recommend her enough. We have some future projects and we will, without a doubt consult with her again.

Rebecca is an amazing designer to work with. Her ideas completed our mid-century rambler remodel. In fact she made it better. She guided us through selections and made it easy to pick the best choice within our budget. At times we took a risk and she never disappointed. We could not have asked for a better person who made a somewhat stressful project, a fun one! A+

Rebecca is a joy to work with!! We actually worked with her during a previous remodel. The experience was so great that we worked with her again on the home that we recently purchased. She was very skilled at making our unique layout (with various ceiling heights) look and function so beautifully. She listened carefully to my ideas and really took the time to understand my style. She spent the time needed with me to pick the perfect tile, flooring, lighting and everything in between. She was so proactive with all of her communication and followed up quickly when I had questions - sometimes within minutes!! I LOVE how our home turned out. It is gorgeous. It is more than I could have ever imagined. Rebecca has also become a dear friend. She is not only incredibly skilled at her craft but she is a warm and kind human. I am very fortunate to call her my friend and will absolutely work with her on my next project.

Without a doubt, my husband and I recommend Rebecca Ryan as a designer. Rebecca helped us to remodel all three levels of our home including the kitchen, master bath, main level powder room, and lower level living room and bar area, She was also instrumental in the selection of lighting throughout our entire home. From beginning to end, Rebecca was exceptionally professional, organized, resourceful, and knowledgeable. We found her to be great to work with and appreciated her ability to explain the reasoning for her recommendations. She respected our sense of style and taste, yet helped us to understand viable options that we would not have considered without her expertise. We especially appreciate the continuity of design that she created in our home. She took our "wish list" and help us to transform it into reality. Rebecca helped with the design of our basement finishing. We had very rough ideas and an open mind in regards to our layout. She came up with very unique, creative and current ideas. Rebecca also helped with all of the design selections. Without her, it would have been very challenging to piece it all together! We interviewed several remodelers and Rebecca's services convinced us to use College City. We were not disappointed!

We had a major kitchen and bath remodel project as well as updates to our laundry/mudroom. We had a clear concept in our minds on what we wanted our dream kitchen and bath to look like, and Rebecca was able to see our vision and work through the challenges when tearing out walls and making all the elements come together as we envisioned.
