Red Oak Remodeling

My experience with ROR was an addition added to the back of my home. Instructions were specifically given prior regarding metal roof and slope so snow would slide off. Specifically asked if it could be done without disturbing current home roof. I was not told that it couldn't be done. They installed a flat roof. Despite my consistent comments and objections regarding the slope I was assured all would slide off. Turns out the metal roof they put on was not made for the slope of roof that was installed. Thus a leak occurred within 2 mos of the finish. It was then 18 mos of them trying to figure out where it was originating with no fix. Imagine your new bathroom with a gapping hole that leaked THROUGH the INSTALLED roof vent by ROR. Two winters like this (I did cover the gap with a funnel to my sink) Mold grew and still they did nothing. Supposedly tested but in their fix they damaged my house metal shingles with caulk withOUT my knowledge of them doing it. At no time did they remove any of the work THEY did to check. It was found in testimony from both the roofer and ROR that they did install the wrong material but still insisted that it came from my roof. (I won that lawsuit) This could all have been avoided if they would have listened and not lie to me and tell me that the roof would do its job and the material used was made for that slope. Lies to the inspector I called back to my house as well. Other things that went wrong: They built the opening to the shower several inches too narrow so that anyone would have to go in sideways. They fixed after I told them about it but changed the design I originally gave them. They installed a torn window screen and didn't fix it till I asked, he even confirmed it was that way when he installed!! They installed a bathroom mirror that when cleaning it for the first time fell off wall because of improper installation (directions were on the package) There were no blueprint plans of the addition-had I been given that I would have seen what their plans were for the roof. I never agreed on a FLAT roof. They never made it right. I was recently widowed at the time and felt that I was ignored because I didn't have a husband standing next to me. They used NO barrier to the inside of my home when they cut through the wall letting dust fly into the room or use of masks for their protection. Imagine that mess for which they did not clean up. Living with this addition for a couple years, I totally regret hiring ROR to build the addition. Not only did I have to pay for a lawyer to get justice (because they failed to fix it and kept stalling with doing anything) I had to deal with all the things that failed such as lack of adequate heat. I have to use supplemental heat in the winter. A professional HVAC company told me that what was installed was not enough for a room with three outside walls. Starting in January, we had the fine folks from Red Oak remodel our kitchen and adjoining great room. Paul & Lora are great to deal with as are their sub contractors. Work proceeded quickly and efficiently, despite pandemic logistical issues. They and all their subs were very responsive to all our queries and requests. Lora’s design sense is invaluable. Their motto is “Growing a Tradition of Excellence”. I suggest they change it to simply: “A Tradition of Excellence”.

I contracted Red Oak Remodeling to remodel and move my kitchen to the opposite side of the room from where it was originally located. Paul, Lora and their team did a wonderful job starting with the new design through the final installation. Everyone was professional, knowledgeable and courteous. Communication throughout the process was excellent. This is the third kitchen I have remodeled and is by far the best experience I have had.

Our experience with Red Oak Remodeling could not have been better! Lora helped us plan the total kitchen remodel down to the last detail. At the same time as the kitchen remodel, a skylight was replaced and the finished basement was repaired from earlier water damage. Their team was professional, courteous and most of all knowledgeable! I’ve remodeled two kitchens and this one was by far the easiest! Great job replacing two patio double sliding doors. Details were paid attention to, and the results were excellent. I would recommend Red Oak Remodeling to anyone takes cares about the job done right. And just to mention I am a stickler about details.

We contracted with Red Oak Remodeling to demolish and replace our badly damaged front porch, porch roof and the house roof. The construction crew worked effectively and diligently to complete this project in about 2.5 to 3 weeks, including adverse weather delays. All work was done as per the contract specifications and chosen materials. The crew did an excellent job and thoroughly cleaned the job site at the end of each day. Many neighbors and passersby stopped to comment about what a great job the crew was doing and how good the new porch looked. We are extremely pleased with the end result. When the porch was completed a different crew arrived to replace the roof on the house. They removed the old shingles and installed a new roof and roof vent in just a few hours. They also did a great job of cleaning up any construction debris. Seems like they did an equally good job as well. We would highly recommend Red Oak Remodeling for any home construction or remodeling project you may be considering.

We were extremely happy with the team at Red Oak Remodeling. We built our home in 1999 and wanted to update the kitchen. Paul and Lora worked with us to devise a plan that not only looked beautiful but was within our budget. Their team of professionals was courteous and careful, making sure they met our expectations. Added a morning sunroom addition to our house. The construction of the new room was fantastic. I never saw better workmanship in my past experience. The crew was very courteous and neat , very contentious of cleaning up. Red Oak built the room just as we wanted and added a few quality items that we were not expecting. We will hire them again for sure.

Red Oak gave me an awesome front porch. The workers were very polite and did a very neat job. The owner of the company visited the site often and made sure all was done as planned and done right. I will recommend them to my friends. Alicia Bailets

Lora and Paul from Red Oak Remodeling were great to work with. The team of people Rodney,Steve, Stephen, the plumber, electrician and floor guys were all great and friendly to work with. It can be awkward having strange people in your house but everyone with Red Oak that walked through our door was like family did not take long to feel like they just belonged here. Every time we had a question we got an answer. We did a simply remodel of our upstairs but a complete remodel of basement and it is way better then we imagined it would be. We did have some concerns that we addressed with Lora and Paul and were completely satisfied. I give them 5 stars all around workmanship and friendliness. Thank you from the Fogle and Parks family!
