Reiko Feng Shui Design

I hired Reiko and Peter for my cottage in Sag Harbor. What I originally thought would be a few updates turned into a big renovation as the house was in way worse condition than I realized. It is a small cabin with limited storage. Their designs were so smart, completely in tune with my style and taste, and their attention to detail exceptional. They made it so easy and took care of everything- which was a giant reducer of stress. There is now quite a bit of storage- all smart and unobtrusive, and the cabin is beyond gorgeous. I couldn't be happier.

I collaborated with Reiko and Peter on a large, high-end new construction home in Westport, CT. I was the architect on the project and they worked on behalf of their client as client representative, construction manager, interior designer, and Feng Shui designer. As experts in Feng Shui principles, they consulted with us to ensure the house was designed to embrace the positive, and avoid the negative, resulting in the inspiration for a unique, one-of-a-kind design for their client. They conducted themselves professionally and demonstrated unfaltering commitment to their client's best interests. They are knowledgeable and competent team players, with an understanding of how to collaborate on ideas, without letting pride or ego get in the way of a smooth design process. I recently toured the completed house after they finished their interior work and the results were amazing! The level of thought, detail and originality of their work is above and beyond any of the other work I see being done in the area. They were a pleasure to work with, and I am sure any client would be in good hands if they decide to work with Reiko Feng Shui Design.

Reiko does much more than a typical designer- together Reiko and Peter shine in their professionalism and their project management skills. Their ability to manage contractors, work within budgets and generally make sure the whole thing works smoothly and turns out well has led me to work them for three projects of varying size. The most significant endorsement of our trust in Reiko and Peter is that we worked together on a renovation of our summer house while my husband and I were out of the country and working in Europe!

This was not our first experience with reconstruction/ design and Reiko with her team were, in comparison, flawless. We hired Reiko to help design and renovate our beach house in Southampton, NY. From start to finish Reiko exceeded all of our hopes; she is thoughtful, professional yet caring, punctual, thorough in planning, and wrapped neatly and on time. Although our construction was fairly minimal - wood floors, paint, cabinetry, tiling and some bathroom updates, the interior design was quite comprehensive and she designed and decorated every piece of the house. All of our visitors have the same reaction- WOW. Reiko, Peter and their team are amazing and we would highly recommend them, time and time again.

I have worked successfully with Reiko and her team on two different homes over the years--a New York City apartment and a country house. Every Feng Shui design makeover was executed in a highly conscious way that was sensitive to my needs and taste as well as to costs. I've worked with Reiko several times over the years. Reiko has a knack for listening to her client's needs and design tastes and then creating their beautiful environment. This was a master bedroom renovation and Reiko was able to help me achieve the beautiful, restful retreat I had in mind. Reiko was also respectful of my budget and timeline. I now have the bedroom of my dreams and must admit I spend more time in that room, reading and relaxing than the rest of my house!
