We found Custom Design & Construction on Houzz during COVID. After meeting with Beth Yuen and Santos Mejia, we took the leap and moved forward with a full renovation, three bathrooms, kitchen, three sided fireplace, and relocation of wet bar. All with a mid-century design. Beth was hands on assisting with design decisions for tile, lighting, and appliances. Not to mention cabinet layout and design for the kitchen. The project came in on time and on budget!!! We've been back in our home for almost four years now and we love it more with each day. The thoughtfulness of the design is apparent as we comfortably live within the home. CDC also provides a warranty for all of their work. You don't have to worry, if you notice something after they finish they will stand behind their work and come back to repair/adjust whatever is needed. I give them my highest recommendation and tell all of my friends and family. They aren't the least expensive, but they are worth every penny!!

We recently completed a complete remodel of our kitchen, living room, dining room, fireplace and living room windows. From design to completion, Custom Design Construction was great to work with. The finished project was excellent and is amazing. It totally mirrored the concept drawings, thanks to the talent and creativity of Custom Design's designer, Beth Yuen. Our kitchen cabinets are beautiful as well. The whole staff from Custom Design are exceptional craft persons. They are flexible and really listened to us. They are easy to work with and were very responsive to our ideas and requests. Their professional construction work and commitment to the quality and beauty of the project was exceptional. J & P We've lived in our home for over 40 years and it was time to do a whole house remodel. We chose CDC to do it after attending their seminar, and seeing the quality of work on their other home projects. From the beginning, they took our wish list and thoughts and put it to paper and made it our vision. They worked with us every step of the way from design, choosing products, and guided us with their experience. We were living out of state during this process and made occasional trips to the house to see the progress. They kept to their schedule and often exceeded it. The project manager and designer kept us updated with weekly reports and current photos. The work crew kept the yard and entire work area clean and were very courteous to our neighbors. They completed the project before their finish date. The entire CDC staff from designers, architects, project manager, head contractor and work crew were professional, helpful, and such a pleasure to work with. They all took great pride, paying attention to all details, and quality of work that was completed. We've had friends and neighbors that watched the whole process, have seen the end product and were as impressed and amazed as we were. This firm completed a master bedroom and bath remodel for me and I am very pleased with the outcome. They are a professional team with high quality workmanship skills who partnered with me in creating my vision. I was appreciative of their knowledge and assistance in helping me navigate the many decisions involved in a project of this nature.

I just wanted to say a few words on how happy we are with all the work that Custom Design performed on our home. When we purchased our older home, it looked like a home from Mad Man (a typical 60's home). Bill Simone personally redesigned the home and put his visual on paper for us. He kept ever promises on deadlines and we never had any issue with costs overage. His book "Six Secrets to Successful Remodeling" is a must read for anyone who needs a contractor. They met with us at each stage of the job, and we became close like family. Our house is now a show case and we always get compliments on his work. We have even had a couple of movies shot in and out of our home. Thanks Bill.

I reached out to Beth Yuen to see if she could help me find some replacement hinges for my parents' outdated kitchen cabinets and she was able to locate them. Beth was very helpful and very professional. She went beyond in providing excellent service.

Custom Design has a beautiful showroom in El Segundo with a professional staff that can answer all your questions. I will use them for any future kitchen design or construction needs. I also love going to their Visiting Chef Series cooking classes that are held in their showroom. I would recommend them to anyone considering a kitchen remodel.

We contracted with CD&C to remodel our master and guest bathrooms. We worked with Natalie to pick out floor and wall tiles, medicine cabinets, shower doors, and bathroom fixtures like faucets and shower heads. Through Houzz we selected the styles we liked and Natalie used this information to create a tentative plan to start with. She then took us to vendors to pick out the actual materials. Bill Edwards and his team of plumbers, electricians, etc. were excellent. Bill was always available and met with us almost on a daily basis. As of this date, we expect that we will be done within the next day or so. We could not be happier with the final results. We would recommend CD&C to anyone thinking about a remodel or renovation.

We hired Custom Design & Construction to add an 1100 square foot second story addition to our original 1970's ranch style home. They listened to what our vision was and showed us designs in the early stages of the project that made us feel like they really understood our needs. The planning process took a while, but that was mainly due to our travel schedule and the complexity of the project. Their designers showed us many options and made sure we got exactly what we wanted. Because I can't read plans, their 3-D renderings made it easy for us to visualize our new home. During the building phase there were only 1 or 2 minor delays to the project. The first involved the original building inspector being on vacation and the time it took to get his replacement to our home. The other was a quality issue with a few of our new windows that our project manager wouldn't accept. Those were ultimately replaced because of his attention to detail. The weekly meetings we had during construction were very helpful. Even when I couldn't attend again because of travel, i was always kept in the loop and knew what was happening. This gave me a real confidence in the company. In the end the project turned out exactly the way we had envisioned and we couldn't be happier with the job from the beginning to the end. We made the right choice with Custom Design & Construction and wouldn't hesitate hiring them again even though it might be a while since love everything about our home!

The service and quality of work provided by Custom Design & Construction showed a company that is customer focused. We had our kitchen remodeled in 2014 and was very pleased with the outcome. We noticed two years later that the edge of the counter top had a minor chip. Bill Simone had his team come to our home to inspect the problem and quickly had the counter top repaired at no cost. We are glad that we made the right decision to work with Custom Design & Construction.

Custom Design & Construction didn't just meet our expectations, they exceeded them! When we first met with the president of CD&C, Bill Simone, he told us that our 1947 home could be new again...we didn't think it could be possible! Several months later we see that he was right! Our home is simply amazing...and it's not even completely finished yet! We were well taken care of every step of the way. Beth Yuen, our Project Designer, listened to our needs and was amazing at problem solving and thinking of every single detail! We would have been lost without her! Santos Mejia, our Field Supervisor, met with us weekly and answers our many questions. If we ever had a problem, he quickly fixed it! Liza Villanueva, Project Designer, had such vision and creativity for our home! She also gave suggestions on how to decorate our home. Junior Designer, Gabriel Albi, provided us with great renderings of what our home would look like. They associate themselves with good people too. The men who demoed our home were quick. Our contractor, Julio, and his guys are just unbelievable at what they can do! Everyone at Custom Design & Construction are friendly, professional, and great to work with. It'll be sad to see them all go once the project is completed. However, it'll be great to 'love our home again'!
