Restage Home Staging

Just had restage come to my house last weekend, and boy was that an unpleasant experience. Nearly all the furniture they brought in was quite badly damaged, stained, or covered in adhesive goop that they didn't clean off. From chipped glass tops to torn fabric hanging out of the bottom of chairs to missing buttons. Mismatched finishes on the chairs for the dining table, half chrome and half brushed nickle, and a rug for the main living area that was so loud you couldn't really see anything else in photos, nevermind the floor-to-ceiling solid quartz slab backlit fireplace surround. Staging should add to the house and accentuate it's features, but what restage did would've brought the value of the house down by having everything look beat up and damaged. Better to show it empty than with what they brought in. When I tried to get it addressed, their sales guy Cam (who was way too pushy from the very start) made an ultimatum that said either I pay immediately, or they take their stuff out. Cam's attitude and statements were that Restage does multi-million dollar penhouses all the time, and that they were doing me a -favour- by accomodating such a 'small job'. I'd suggest to Restage that if they don't want to do 'small jobs', to not take them on, rather than send out broken furniture and follow that up with a "you're beneath us" attitude.

I hired Restage based on my realtor's recommendation when I was selling my condo. They were very efficient and effective. The unit looked great. They were flexible and available on short notice. The move in and move out were done quickly. Beautiful work. The only downside is that I had to call more than once to get my refund back (the portion prepaid but not used).

They provided a well thought out overall design for the property being marketed for sale, and the price was fair.

We hired Restage to stage our latest single family homes in Altadore, Calgary. Steve and his team were very helpful and easy to deal with, his crew was on time and worked quick and left no damages. Kim designed the house in good taste and was open to change when we asked. After we sold one unit Restage moved the furniture to the unit next door in just a few hours. Once the second unit sold they cleared it all out in just a couple of hours. We will definitely recommend Restage and will use them again in the future. Thank you guys. These guys were great to deal with and their pricing was fair. They charged per week after the first month, which is what made them more financially desirable. Each month is charged in full, but if you call them in month, they promptly refund the remaining weeks. They were very professional when moving the furniture in and out. They even swept up the floor after moving out. The only complaint I have is that when I contacted the company to remove the furniture, I received no confirmation or communication. Suddenly one morning, I received a phone call, which I was not able to answer, and no voicemail was left. I decided it was odd and called the number back. Movers were coming over in 30 mins and wanted someone to let them in.

ReStage worked with my realtor to take care of everything. The house looked great and sold well in a tough market.

I have used Restage now twice to help sell our homes and each time they furnished and decorated very well, and I'm firmly convinced it helped to sell the home quicker. I've used three staging firms and this is the one I'm sticking with - they showed up when they said they would, the price was fair, colour schemes and room themes were well thought out. I was worried that they wouldn't put a bowl of lemons on the kitchen counter for this most recent sale but I came back after running to the store and BANG, there it was, and with a lime for accent.

We are a home builder in Calgary and have used Restage for staging our show homes. Their furniture and accessories are modern, in great condition and they do ALL the work! Love their service and would recommend them to anyone in need of staging services!

I hired Restage to Stage my Home for selling purposes... they did an excellent job and made the property look fantastic. their service was impeccable... timely, stylish and cost effective. they were able to meet my tight deadlines for install and removal (gave them very short notice on both ends of the contract) but the reacted and met my needs... I've used Restage twice in the last 3 years, once when selling my rental property and again, recently when selling my partner's home. They are professional, courteous and produce a beautiful finished product. My condo sold in 3 days (2015) and the house sold in 28 days (2017). I think that speaks volumes in a market where homes are typically sitting for 3+ months. I truly believe that wouldn't have happened if we hadn't invested in staging. A+++
