Ryan and his team were great to work with. They did a great job setting expecations and keeping us updated on schedules and timelines. From the design team to the various trade workers they were all great to work with and went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. Fantastic build!! We had our luxury basement designed and built by R House. Contractors in general can be so difficult to work with, but these guys (both the designing and actual construction) actually went above and beyond all our expectations. Our new basement is absolutely perfect and everything we hoped for. Timing deadlines were all met and financial expectations all matched what was discussed in the beginning. I have done this multiple times in the past with other builders at different houses and that last statement NEVER happens. We seriously could not be more pleased. Could not have been happier. the project managers were great onsite. All projects have to make some tweaks along the way and that happened really well with the designer and the project managers. We were on budget with the exception of things that I added knowingly. The trimwork/carpentry work was insanely good. The designer really helped me bring it together, furniture included (I'm a single dad so help was for sure needed there :)). For context, we took the main floor of a 1936 Edina tudor and turned 4 small rooms into one big kitchen/living/dining room. So it was a MAJOR transformation. My teenagers actually sit at the new island and talk to me (and each other) while I make dinner. Wasn't even a possibility in the old layout.

We absolutely love the finished product of our basement project. Ryan and his team produced high quality work while maintaining great communication. Joe, our project manager, was very responsive to our needs and ideas. He was able to make suggestions when needed and gave valuable feedback. We highly recommend this company! They are wonderful!

I became aware of RHouse through friends who had used them before. I was impressed with the quality of the designs and the quality of finish on those projects. When interviewing contractors, we wanted someone who would develop a detailed design and cost estimates before we started work. Of the companies we met with, they were the most willing to put in the time required to provide us with the desired level of detail on design and cost (the estimates provided were accurate). They were willing to share candid opinions during the process and gave us good advice on "what they recommend and why" as well as "what they felt was not such a good idea and why". As the project moved along, the project managers were excellent, kept us well informed, and managed the details that are necessary to make a project a success. I found all of their sub-contractors to be of the highest quality and focused on pleasing the customer. I would highly recommend RHouse for your remodeling project.

I had Ryan come in to take a look at a potential complete renovation of a fixer-upper. He was not only professional and prompt, but he’s also just an all-around nice guy. It was immediately evident to me that he truly cares about his client and what’s best for them. He’s not just trying to make a quick buck. He’s the real deal. There are a lot of design/build firms in town. And even more contractors. It’d be hard to find anyone who comes close to Ryan and his company. His patience, professionalism, talent and integrity are unmatched. He will definitely be my go-to guy for any upcoming major remodel/build project and I couldn’t recommend him enough!

As I sit in my beautifully renovated living room and kitchen, this review is long overdue. Where to start with RHouse? I reached out to Ryan when I was feeling overwhelmed about my first home/condo I had purchased. Sure glad I did. Along with Ryan’s many years of industry experience, he’s a man of integrity, honesty, transparency and very hardworking. The Hemingsons surround themself with people of the same caliber. Quick back story- Initially I intended to save money and be the “contractor” myself. In the first month of home purchase, I hired a guy to take down popcorn ceilings, another painter for all the walls, and wholesale carpet gal. It was a full time job to manage them, and came with much disappointment and frustration. Lets just say there is a reason the world needs excellent contractors like Ryan. It was clear I didn’t want to take the kitchen and wood floors on, on my own. If I could offer one piece advice to any of you considering to spend the extra money to get a real contractor. Do it!! It will save you time, frustration, worry and money. Worth every penny, especially someone like Ryan and team. Once Ryan and his RHouse crew came into the picture, I felt at ease and knew everything would turn out beautifully. He professionally came in, assessed the additional work that needed to be done, gave a detailed quote even showing his commission up front. I knew where every bit of my money was going (so important I feel). He also help me to identify where I could save, and where it was worth investing more. Also Ryan has plenty of connections in the industry. I tend to be type A or picky, wanting to know all my color/look options so he was able to point me in the right direction for floor, counter tops, base boards, appliances, back splash - you name it, while he coordinating it all. Many times I would ask for his opinions on this or that, and he always came back with a prompt, honest answer. He has a great eye for design and space too. The great thing is if you don’t want to choose the Design/colors and you have the budget, RHouse has a team that does it all. I can assure you, you’ll be glad you did. I could go on and on about the positive experiences with Ryan, Lori, Joe, his wood floor crew, counter top connections, painters... I’ll just leave it at this, if you want to work with someone you can trust and feel confident in. Go with RHouse Design Build. When the project was complete, I wish I had more money I could have given as a thank you because I was so happy! :)
