Rachel was wonderful. She made sure we got the look we wanted for our family. We have 2 kids and wanted a warm, comfortable and pretty look. She listened to us and gave us enough (but not too many!) choices. She has designed a place we love even after more than a year of living in it.

We at Best Price Custom Cabinets & Woodworking have worked with Rachel for many years. We are consistently amazed at how beautiful her designs turn out! She has a real eye for color and somehow manages to make every space we've seen her design, look like a page out of a magazine! We've seen first hand as she interacts with her customers putting their minds completely at ease. Rachel is an amazing designer with with great vision. And her designs look amazing on our website!

Working with Rachel was incredible. She has an extensive knowledge of design, and made the overwhelming process of renovating my house much less daunting. The sketches she drew for each room really brought the ideas we had to life, and made it much easier to picture the changes we were about to make. Together we were able to bounce ideas off of each other and make it fun! She was by my side every step of the way. From picking out flooring, to textiles for carpets and furniture, fixtures, paint colors, you name it, she was involved in it all. Her organization and clear focus on the overall goal was outstanding. We had a particularly difficult task at hand, but she handled it all with such poise and patience. I am so incredibly happy with the finished product that I can now call home, and I am very lucky to now call Rachel a friend.

Rachel is a talented designer and a lovely person to get to know! My husband and I downsized recently; most of our furniture was either dated, not to scale, or just plain worn out. Rachel decorated our town home with great pieces of furniture that were reasonably priced, attractive, and comfortable. In addition to furniture, she helped us select paint colors, window treatments, light fixtures, bedding, tile, and artwork as well. She listened to our preferences and offered choices that supported an overall feel and scheme. In the end, we feel at home with brand new pieces as if they’ve been with us awhile. We recommend Rachel with enthusiasm!

Rachel Oliver is amazing! I highly recommend her and at every opportunity tell friends and co-workers about how much she has done for our home. We moved here from Washington DC and went from a 2 bedroom condo to a 4 bedroom house. I first brought Rachel in to assist with a challenging “man cave”. I found her information here on HOUZZ and decided to reach out to her. We had dark hardwood floors, my husband insisted on burgundy or gold walls to show his support for his team, there was a full wall of dark bookshelves and a very large leather recliner had been purchased. Nothing was coming together. Rachel came in, discussed ideas that made complete sense, sent over design ideas and then we went with it. She was able to keep the work that we had already put money into and saved us a ton of money by making the right decisions for the rest of the project. I can’t believe I had not discovered her when I started purchasing our furniture a year earlier. I had bought pieces that were too big or too small, and everything she has found for us has been just right! She has been able to fix and decorate around some of my not so great choices to make it work. After the man cave, we walked through the house and came up with a plan of what to tackle when. She helped take our nursery from a little boys room to a baby girls room all within our budget that I absolutely adore. She has helped with curtains, pillows, picture framing, “dressing up” bookshelves, desks, paint colors, kitchen updates, etc. She is very down to earth and such a pleasure to work with. There is “no pressure”. She took into consideration that we have 2 young children and a dog, so everything looks great but is still family friendly. I LOVE being in our house and can’t wait for her to help me with my next project!

Rachel Oliver is an incredible professional and designer. I highly recommend her and always tell people if you are going to buy, build, renovate, or just decorate a house don't do it without Rachel. I worked with Rachel for a year as my husband and I built a custom home that is more than 4 thousand square feet. Her work included the entire house inside and out including kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, living room, playroom, home office, basement apartment, laundry room, front entry, and more. When I say everything I mean it she did paint colors, door hardware, lighting, cabinetry, counters, drawer and cabinet pulls, tile, flooring, furniture, mirrors, staircase, linens and textiles for every room in the house. Rachel worked extremely well with everyone on the project including the builder, my husband, myself and even my 2 year old. No joke she brought paint samples to my daughter and let her select the shade of pink for her room. Rachel handled every situation calmly even when everyone else was freaking out. Rachel always went above and beyond and held my hand on some of the more challenging decisions. I work full time and Rachel was great at both narrowing down choices on decisions I didn't want to be highly involved in and also taking me to see all the options when I wanted to get really involved. I didn't know Rachel before this project but now consider her a friend and would trust her with anything. She made this project fun! As you can see from the pictures of my house on Pinetree Dr the end result is incredible. I have lived in the house for a year now and my husband and I love it. We constantly look around in amazement and say I can't believe we live in this house. This is because of Rachel. Building a custom house from the ground up is extremely hard and time consuming and I could not have done it while balancing work and a small child without Rachel. Lastly, because she was able to make creative recommendations she honestly saved me a tremendous amount of money. She did a great job of guiding me through recommendations on where to spend money and where to save money. I am a CPA and am constantly assessing what things cost me and I have to say that whatever Rachel quotes it is completely worth it and I would recommend you consider the cost of making decisions you are not happy with, your time, using a designer that recommends all highly expensive items, or using a designer that is making a commission if they recommend higher cost items. I have a beautiful house that I enjoy living in with my two small children, husband and dogs. It is functional and beautiful.

Rachel's creative design expertise and project management experience was instrumental in transforming my dark, traditional kitchen/family room space into an inviting, bright modern feel. Rachel was effective in capturing my vision through collaboration with her via frequent discussions, home visits and and outings to design showrooms. She quickly grasped the look/feel I was after and recommended color palettes, wall coverings, furnishings, and contractors. The remodel included demolishing a multi-level bar countertop and replacing it with a kitchen island, which created a more open floor plan and better traffic flow. Every surface was impacted - walls, cabinets, countertops, backsplash - so Rachel's design eye was critical in coordinating it all for the beautiful finished result. I love my new kitchen/family room and get many compliments on it! People can't believe the transformation! It's amazing!

Rachel is just a dream. She looked at my whole house before she started the dining room. She chose an amazing paint color thst suited my home, selected several fabrics to choose from and then sugested wallpaper on the ceiling. She found a great deal on a buffet and voila! The room looks amazing. I strongly recommend her!!!!!

Rachel is a practical, no nonsense designer who gave us some great ideas for our Master Bathroom remodel. She was right on with her ideas, which helped us with some design issues we had.

Rachel helped me redesign my laundry room. She picked the new cabinets, floor, backsplash, paint color, and lighting. I am very pleased with how it turned out! She was very helpful and has great taste!

Rachel has been literally the best! She has perfectly executed 2 separate projects for a very large Metro Atlanta Homeowners Association. Rachel has been extremely professional and timely throughout the entire project. Extremely knowledgeable about a variety of factors that go into design down to the construction aspect. She has also completed multiple single family projects in the community that I manage. Rachel's talent has been spreading fast in our community. Highly recommend Rachel Oliver Design! Rachel did an excellent job on the redesign of our family room. She selected furniture that blended with our existing decor but better suited the space. Rachel also suggested fabrics that I may not have initially chosen but updated our room and made it appear more polished. I highly recommend Rachel's work.
