Modern Property Design

I have now had the wonderful pleasure of working with Ms. Rosslyn of Modern Property Design on several projects. On one project she has turned my living room from okay to exquisitely classy, elegant, sophisticated and most welcoming. With regard to my bathroom design and decor, Ms. Rosslyn gave particular attention wall covering, lighting, color, materials and finishes. The finished bathroom is beyond my wildest imagination. I must say that Modern Property Design's gift is knowing how to exceed the clients' highest expectations. Ms. Rosslyn also went beyond all expectations in designing and decorating one of my apartment units. Everything is exquisite, color scheme, patterns, lighting, fixtures -- just indescribably beautiful!

I was truly impressed and amazed at how well my house looked after it was remodeled. Modern Property Design was easy to work with, reasonably priced and Rosslyn offered great customer service! I highly recommend Modern Property Design for all of your home make over needs...

I had owned and operated my Fine Arts Gallery for twenty plus years. Situated on a centrally-located commercial strip in the Capital Hill section of Washington DC , I watched through the years as the demure commercial climate developed and grew into one of the most popular destinations in the city. The influx of new potential customers was partially tormenting however. Drawn to the area by the recently constructed baseball stadium and the many new bars and restaurants that were now my new neighbors, the throngs of new people mostly walked past my door. This is what fueled my inspiration to re-invent my business. My new business model would integrate my Art Gallery with Juice bar, Tea Room, Performance Stage and Rental Facility. I wanted a fantastic result but I needed help. Enter Rosslyn Snowden AKA Modern Property Design. The complete renovation took 4 months. Throughout this arduous process Rosslyn was there, mostly present but also on call acting as my only design partner. Despite budgetary constraints, I knew that I wanted a sophisticated yet dynamic space. Having an idea of the design components I wanted was the easy part, finding those components was quite another. What I found is that Rosslyn has a gift for sourcing design components and successfully negotiating on your behalf, delivering them at a fraction of the cost. My every request resulted in dozens of options from which to choose. Moreover, I am absolutely convinced that there is no-one who is more knowledgeable as to what is available in the form of design accessories; lighting, fabrics, wall coverings and furniture - both contemporary as well as vintage. She is also masterful at the repurposing of accessories and the transformation of overlooked and ignored design components. Check out the before and after photos on her site. Every time I come home I am reminded of how grateful I am to know Rosslyn Snowden having been the recipient of her talents. I wanted to do some many things to my home but did not know where to start or what to do or even how much to do. Rosslyn helped me pick out everything from paint to furniture. She transformed my home into a show place that I entertain in now all the time (I'm so proud).

I have known Ms. Snowden for more than 25 years and for as long as I can remember, Rosslyn has been passionate about organizing, cleaning, repairing and painting. I can never remember a time when she did not have some type of home improvement project going on (whether it be at her house, a rental property, a friend's house/business or just helping out a neighbor). I am amazed and in awe of someone who loves to clean up not only her's but other people's messes. She is excellent at what she does because she does not view it as work or a chore (even the most mundane project). Her ideas are creative, fresh, iinovative, classic and modern all at the same time and at no time are her ideas the typical or cookie cutter. She is HGTV Show waiting to happen so I suggest that you get the jump on hiring her before they come a caling....trust me, it is only a matter of time. You will not regret your decision to do so. She is a perfectionist and the ultimate professional at all times .

I had a pending job opportunity in DC area and came across basement property that would be ready by the time I would need it (3 months later). I viewed property in construction phase and could not see it as a place I'd want to live, let alone be ready in three months. I was so wrong and so blown away! The tiny basement apartment looked roomy and had a zen flow post construction. Amazing design!
