Evergreen Homes (EH) NW Team is professional, family-oriented, creative with design, focused on quality workmanship, and so much more. The EH Team applied master-level skills to the smallest design details in our Boomer designed home for four sisters living together. We loved the architectural design that came from our concept meeting with Chris; e.g. four-car garage, fire pit, window seat in each suite, and more. We had a lot of fun picking our flooring, cabinets, stain colors, and again, much more. We incorporated our 1950 renovated claw foot dining table that was the pride of our large family coming together for meals as children. Now we, sisters, continue to enjoy meals together at the same table in our beautiful Evergreen Homes design. Evergreen Homes is very much worthy of an award for quality craftsmanship, functionality, accessibility for Boomers living together now and in the future.

We wanted a builder who really delivered outstanding design, quality, craftsmanship, attention to detail, and value. Evergreen has exceeded our expectations on each of our five criteria. The quality of the materials that went into our home matches the quality of the work. We found true craftsmanship and attention to detail in nearly every facet of our home. Most homeowners probably don’t give a second thought to the work done by the framers as their work gets covered up. During a visit, we inspected their work with a framing square, level, and tape measure – we were blown away with the accuracy of their work – floors that are truly level, plumb walls, and square corners! The finish work is equally impressive. We have natural wood doors, windows, and millwork so you cannot mask mistakes with caulk. From excavation to final finish – everything is amazing, and we greatly appreciate the hard work all the trades put into building our dream home. You can tell they care! Our custom design started as a sketch Chris made on a yellow pad while sitting with us on a log on our property. He incorporated everything we wanted and quite a few things we had not even thought about. We were living in Maryland throughout the entire design and build process, yet Chris, Sterling, Linda, Tama, and Lisa made it feel like we were just down the street. Through their outstanding communication, doing a long-distance build was not an issue. Sterling was wonderful in managing the team of craftsman who built our home. He spent a good amount of time with us during an early visit to understand what was important to us. He then went out of his way to ensure every detail we wanted was simply perfect.

This was the first time that we worked with a professional builder, having previously built our own homes. We knew we wanted to move in faster and bypass the steep learning curve that comes from learning a new county's rules and regulations. But we also wanted to do our own design and get involved in some of the finish details. Evergreen Homes was an excellent partner for us during our large home that had a lot of custom features. It was a relief to have someone as flexible and Evergreen Homes, who could work with us but also supply the needed subcontractors to get the job done. It was also a tough year for building homes, so we hit a few bumps along the way that puts us past our loan due date, but we managed to squeak past and not have to pay a hefty fee.

When we began our journey to build an Age-In-Place home, we had a limited grasp of how complex it would be and how critical it would be to select the right builder. Evergreen Homes NW was the right choice for us! The team working on the design and construction of our custom home was exemplary. Sterling Sobczak was the best construction foreman we could have ever imagined to oversee the building process. He was attentive to every detail, and he consistently communicated with us to ensure all our expectations were met. The subcontractors were efficient and professional. I wish I used a different builder to build my dream home, Which was finished in 2019, your supposed to get what you want, when they screw up and won’t stand behind their so called warranty, don’t trust the owner. If you do pick this company to build your dream home you will be sorry, there’s some many other better qualified companies to choose from. After almost 3 years I was still waiting to have them come back until I got tried of playing games with Chris

Evergreen Homes NW is a family operation and we worked very closely with Chris Sundstrom, the owner, and his wonderful family. Evergreen has been operating for about nine years, but Chris has been doing this much longer. His daughter Becky, a former two-time U.S. Olympic speed skater, handled marketing and his other daughter, Tama, also a former world class speed skater, was in charge of design, planning and architecture. Son-in-law, Sterling, was our foreman, handling the day-to-day, on-site, hands-on operations during construction. The family are all extremely friendly, helpful, and, most importantly, honest. I did quite a bit of research (due diligence) online before meeting the Sundstroms as well as talking to former customers, colleagues, and even other area builders, finding nothing but positive information. I felt very comfortable working with the Sundstroms and the Evergreen team and can highly recommend them if you find yourself needing a home built or a remodel done. We cannot say enough good things about Evergreen Homes, from planning to design, and then construction and finishing work. We have been admiring their homes for years in Camas and Washougal, and were finally in the position to build a custom home on our own land in Vancouver. The Sundstrom family is amazing and so is our home. WE LOVE IT. Unfortunately we had some early red tape and excessive delays with permits --which also caused prices to increase from original bids (plan for that in case you're building on your own lot!). Once the building process actually began, everything went right along. We just moved in June 8 of this year and feel like we've lived here for years. The house is very comfortable and efficient. Sterling was our foreman; he was so attentive and really a pleasure to work with. After sitting down and determining our objectives, Tama designed a lovely home that really met our needs. Despite our frustration with the county requirements and the time delays, the building process otherwise went very well. We have never built a home before and we learned a lot, and enjoyed it. We would highly recommend Evergreen Homes to our friends. It is is the nicest home we have ever owned.

aI am so thankful that I found Evergreen Homes NW. Building a custom home is a complicated process and you need everyone on your team to be extremely competent. From start to finish, the experience with Evergreen Homes was incredible. They designed a modern house for me that looks so original and beautiful, I find myself just staring at it - in awe. The construction process presented challenges at times, such as weather, but the team persisted and constantly managed my expectations. The attention to detail and quality is unmatched. Everyone you work with at Evergreen is very reasonable, transparent, and honest. You know exactly what you're getting and they can assist in areas you aren't familiar with. I can't imagine doing a project like this with a builder other than Evergreen Homes. We bought our dream home from Evergreen Homes! We purchased a model home that was already built and move in ready. The quality is top notch, extremely eco and efficient. The finishes are so beautiful, functional and well thought out. I really enjoyed working with Sterling the GC and the rest of their awesome family. After looking at a few homes that needed updating and work, my husband and I decided to build a new home. We were nervous yet excited but most importantly wanted to work with a company who genuinely cared about what we wanted and needed in our new family home. We contacted Tama and Chris with Evergreen Homes. They were both so great! They both explained the building process from beginning to end, so no unexpected surprises. My husband would stop by the job site occasionally and speak with Dave and Sterling to check on the progress, these two guys were so nice to work with, answering all of our questions. We worked with the team at Evergreen Homes to create a custom floor plan on one of their lots in Camas, WA. During the entire process, we found their entire team to be exceptionally collaborative, creative and professional. Their insight and advise was extremely valuable but they were also great listeners which we really appreciated. You will not get a "cookie cutter' home with inferior fit and finish with Evergreen. We could not be more pleased with our home and recommend them very highly.

We made the right choice working with Evergreen Homes. From the design phase through completion they demonstrated how committed they were for making us happy with our new home. Each team member was professional and knowledgeable in his or her area. They worked with us to reduce costs where we could, yet keep what was most important to us when labor rates increased in our area. When picking out cabinetry and surfaces, I especially liked their A, B and C level pricing and material options that allowed many options and kept me focused on items in my price range. No construction project is ever completed without hiccups. We did have a couple of challenges that were resolved through positive collaboration and trust that worked out great in the end. From the beginning of the relationship, My husband and I promised to be their pickiest clients ever. We lived up to that every step of the way. Chris, Becky, Tama and Sterling all handled it quite well and we all kept our sense of humor throughout the project. We love our custom Evergreen Home.

Evergreen homes is a custom builder/developer that we have had the pleasure of working with since 2014. We have installed the stone on a number of their custom homes over the past couple years! They have a great team of highly knowledgeable individuals in all aspects of construction. Because of their close eye to detail and schedules, we are able to complete our job according to schedule and in a timely manner without "hiccups". With Evergreen we found a family owned custom home builder with the expertise and commitment we were looking for, at a price we could afford. Since Evergreen builds 20+ home developments they have the economy of scale and the relationships with quality contractors that saved us money. Before choosing Evergreen we knocked on doors; their homeowners are satisfied customers. Since they are building dozens of homes in the area, you can look at them under construction; foundation, framing, drywall, etc., and see the quality for yourself. Once we were working with Evergreen we really appreciated the attention to detail and help with selection of fixtures, finishes and flooring. They took the time to listen us. Four years later we are very happy in our Evergreen home!
