We’ve recently completed a renovation with Ethan on our home that involved, removing several walls, renovating our basement (which now includes a powder room and wet bar),renovating our kitchen, and expanding/renovating our master bath. We deliberately sought out a larger contractor with a stellar reputation. Ethan was recommended by our architect and impressed us from the beginning. His proposal was the most professional and easiest to understand. We felt that we truly understood what he’d provide and what he would not. He visited the job site every day and made sure that the house was kept as clean as possible because we were living there. We believe the work was high quality and are happy with the results. We’d definitely work with Ethan again on future projects.

As we began planning our renovation project, we wanted a contractor that we could fully trust with every detail of our project, provide guidance when needed and look out for our best interests. We hired Ethan/Schoss Construction to renovate 90% of our house and add a two story expansion with a finished basement. A major factor in selecting Ethan was his reputation for doing outstanding work. Based on our experience, he lived up to his reputation, without exception. He takes great personal pride in his work. Ethan actively manages his network of sub-contractors to ensure his high quality standards are met. There was never a difference between our expectations and what Ethan’s team delivered. Never. Ethan is always available. He manages every aspect of the job. He commits 100% to ensuring the project is successful, this includes such things as: grabbing a shovel to help dig, suggesting to add detail to the master shower and interpreting three different pictures of fireplace mantels (each with a unique design aspect) to build the fireplace mantel we had envisioned. Throughout the course of our project, there were a few phrases that Ethan would say quite often: “That’s not a problem” and “We’ll get it done”. We quickly learned that Ethan says what he means and means what he says. We found the contractor that we had always wanted. We truly enjoyed working with Ethan, his crew and his sub-contractors. Without question, Ethan/Schoss Construction will be who we use for all our future projects.

Ethan Schoss was the first contractor of four that my husband and I interviewed for this project. Although all were highly recommended, and all seemed very capable, there was no doubt in my mind after that first interview that we were going to hire Ethan. It was the perfect decision for us. He is a straight shooter and knows this business very well. This was the first project of this kind that my husband and I undertook. I came to depend on Ethan and his crew to do the right thing. If I made a suggestion that was a little outside the box he would tell me why (or why not) it could or couldn't be done. He kept us on schedule. If we were lost as to what came next he would whip out a catalog or pictures or give us phone contacts to help us along. When I couldn't decide on something like a trim he would show me all my options, in all price ranges. Nothing was left to chance. Everyone who has visited us since the project was finished has commented on the craftmanship. And he is always available to follow up on any questions we have. In 2016, we hired Ethan for the renovation of our kitchen, mud room and family room. Ethan was recommended by our architect, and we interviewed him among several others. Ethan completed two renovations on our home. The first was a kitchen renovation/expansion and addition of a bedroom. The second renovation, completed several years later, was a much larger total home renovation. Ethan and his team were always professional, respectful and neat. We did a large renovation on our home and found Ethan and his team to be wonderful to work with. They were prompt and courteous, when he said they would be there, they were.
