I came across Robert Scott’s Instagram page as I explored the best way to visualize architectural details to my new home construction in Nantucket, MA. Robert’s portfolio showed these details on previous projects, which seemed to align with my project. We signed a contract at the beginning of May 2022 and I delivered on my obligations to pay 50% of the total cost. I was promised that 50% of the 3D visualization would be delivered after 40 hours of work. Verbally, I shared that the priority is to deliver detailed interior millwork designs and deprioritize exterior images. 30 days into the project, I did not receive any images. Robert indicated family issues and corresponding travel that delayed his delivery. I understood and only communicated concerns that my GC wanted to obtain images to price the project more precisely. 60 days into the project, I finally received exterior images and a 5-second video of the exterior only. I did not receive any interior details as promised from the 50% of the work to be delivered. I expressed that the delays have caused delays by the GC to create a construction schedule. 65 days into the project, I received interior details of half of the living room. To date, I spent 3 to 4 hours showing Robert my Pinterest board of interior details he should incorporate, yet the millwork of half of the living room did not represent what he said he would integrate into the design. At this point, I requested half of my deposit back as I felt he delivered only 25% of the agreed-upon work. He disagreed and stopped answering my additional requests for half of the deposit. My opinion here is that Robert knows how to sell his work but cannot deliver results promised. He knows the industry well and thus can “hook” clients to sign into him. Based on my experience, I do not recommend him to anyone looking for timely and honest delivery of work promised.

I have worked with Robert for over 20 years. Together we have worked on close to 100 homes. Robert brings creativity, deep design and construction knowledge to each and every home we have worked on. Patience is also another strong trait that Robert has, customers have been known to make changes and no matter which direction a project went he was always there with a can do attitude. On time and on budget. I can honestly say that my construction business wouldn't be where it is out without Robert. It is with deep gratitude that I can recommend Robert for any of your design needs.
