We had our custom home built by Sean Smith Construction. Overall, we had a very positive experience with Sean and our project manager, Dan. Our house was very well built and turned out great. I would recommend this company for any custom job.

Sean built my family a custom home in 2011. Sean was a pleasure to work with. He is very meticulous and has an eye for detail. Sean worked closely with us every step of the way to ensure that both the budget and schedule were being adhered to. We are very pleased with the house Sean built for our family and would recommend him to anyone wanting to built and energy efficient, custom-home.

I interviewed several contractors and selected Sean due to his organization and engineering skills. He was very honest upfront about what he could and could not do. Throughout the build process I was provided exquisite oversight and knew what was going on and what was coming up in the schedule. An impressive example of Sean's 'get it done' attitude is his willingness to work on many aspects of the job himself. He could often be found working a weekend to make sure schedule and budget were maintained or to figure out unique aspect of our house (ours is far from normal). At the end we even shocked the bank because we came in on budget and on time. Having lived in the house for nearly 3 years now we have not had any issues.

I have been working wtih Sean Smith on a 9 unit project in Five Points over the last couple of years. I am the listing agent selling the homes for the developer and Sean Smith Construction was hired to build this ENERGY STAR and LEED GOLD certified project. I have seen Sean take pride in his quality of work, demand excellence from his subs and supervisors, be very attentive to warranty calls and work collaboratively with customers and other vendors. I see a lot of new construction in my line of work, and the quality of construction and service that Sean Smith delivers are far superior than the other GCs. Sean Smith is a rarity (sadly) - a general contractor who really cares about his clients and what he builds. I've worked with Sean for several years now and recommended him for a number of projects. He steps up every time. If you visit his job sites, professionals are working, and the job site is clean. He takes pride in what he does. I perform green-building inspections and see lots of job sites. Sean's are always in the top rung, and the homes he builds are among the best. He builds high-performance, LEED homes, which means they exceed mere building code. So many contractors wouldn't bother. If you use Sean for your project, you won't be sorry.

Sean built our custom home which was our first time attempting such a feat. Sean was very knowledgeable and helped guide us through the project. He was extremely transparent and provided lots of information to help us make better decisions. Sean also is very hands on and takes much pride in the work he does. Sean is a builder with a lot of knowledge on the construction of a house. He is extremely competent with the energy aspects of the construction. His company is small enough that he has hands on experience with each project he does. I would highly recommend him an would not think twice to have him build my house.
