Steffanie Gareau Design

Steffanie designed a total renovation for our home. Bathrooms, kitchens, all furniture and finishes. We couldn't be happier with her work from start to finish. She is the most organized and proactive person, always a step ahead of the builder and kept our project moving forward. With regards to design she understood exactly what we were looking and exceeded our expectations with the final product. She has a wonderful temperament and made the whole experience fun, creative and rewarding. Her attention to detail made it even more of a stress free experience. She is versatile, caring, smart and works well with any budget. I highly recommend Steffanie for any design work you would need.

Working with Steffanie is effortless and fun. We hired her to design and manage our kitchen and main floor renovation. Worth EVERY $. I'd mostly heard horror stories about renovations. We were nervous to tear our house down and rebuild, but upon meeting Steffanie Gareau my fears dissipated. Her knowledge and experience made our build completely painless and truly enjoyable. Steffanie is respectful of her client's style and budget, knows where to find the 'right' piece that brings it all together and her exceptional project management skills are second to no one (and as a former project manager I'm a touch critic). I know what I like, but had no concept of which elements the builder needed and when. Stef ensured that we made our decisions in the right order and that the builder had what they needed, when they needed it. At no time did we delay our project because elements weren't available. Steffanie is a true professional, with a great sense of style and a super personality. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her. I feel fortunate that I was lucky enough to meet her, and I cannot imagine going through our build without her guidance and expertise. If you are lucky enough to live in an area where you can work with Steffanie, don't think twice, just do it!

She immediately 'got' us (family age/stage, aesthetics, budget, time constraints, etc.) and delivered an exquisite result on time and under budget! When does that ever happen? Steffanie worked with our family through a renovation to design and remodel our main floor space, including our kitchen, mudroom and powder room. Steffanie listened to the ideas we had for the space and wanted to hear what was and wasn’t working. Subsequently, reflecting on our ideas, she sat down to provide many creative suggestions to improve and transform the space we live in. Her strong work ethic and focus was evident in our design meetings, where she put together and allowed us to view many samples, including flooring, cabinetry, stone counter, hardware, fixtures and colour palettes. Once seeing her design ideas, we were inspired and it solidified our decision to move forward. Although Steffanie had many projects on the go, it always felt like we were the only ones she was working with, as she effectively managed and responded to our inquires, with solutions and/or recommendations, immediately. Steffanie worked collaboratively with our contractor and was hands-on and instrumental in coordinating all of the sub-trades and services. Her collaboration and unbelievable organizational skills, resulted in a successful and well-planned project. Many of our sub-trades commented on Steffanie’s technical drawings and her creativity, describing her as the best designer they have ever worked with, as well as someone they were excited to work with. The combination of her knowledge and experience, truly took the worry away from us, as homeowners, by offering continual guidance and support throughout the process. Any challenge, whether big or small, did not hinder our project. Steffanie seemed to welcome a challenge and has a unique ability to quickly improvise, without compromising quality. We appreciated her sense of humour during the challenging times as well. I have a huge respect for Steffanie’s amazing attention to detail, her energy, passion, resourcefulness and professionalism. Nothing seems to complex. She exceeded our expectations and has created a main floor living space for our family that feels like a new home. With Steffanie’s vision, talent and expertise, she has created a space for us that is both aesthetically beautiful and functional. It is more than we ever imagined. Because of Steffanie, having a dream kitchen, functional mudroom and powder room, is no longer a dream, it is now a reality. She is truly inspirational and a brilliant designer. I have worked with Steffanie a number of times over the past years, most recently on a complete kitchen renovation. She is a terrific designer, super organized, very responsive, has a great attention to detail and is a real pleasure to work with. She has the ability to keep a big project on track and ensure everything is taken care of. Our new kitchen is amazing and was completed on time and on budget. Steffanie was working with us on her several projects, always picking up the best solutions for her clients. We built a brand new home and Steffanie worked with us from beginning to end starting with providing input into our drawings and layout of the rooms. Steffanie's expertise shined through in so many technical areas and assisted our build tremendously. I loved working with Steffanie to renovate my kitchen/living & dining room. She had great ideas and suggestions that helped me focus. She always listened and gave her opinions but always made sure I was 100% happy with the decisions being made. I really appreciated her responsiveness to all the questions I had. Stephanie came on board with our house renovation project after the house was gutted and we were adapting architect plans and layouts to meet our needs. She quickly focussed on the important details and we began the process of designing and revising plans and finishes throughout the house over the next several months. At all times we found her knowledgeable and helpful in providing advice. She is always timely and professional in her approach while maintaining a sense of humour and perspective.

It was a pleasure to work with Steffanie - she had excellent follow up skills, was always quick to get back to any question we had even at "off" times. She was an excellent "listener" and really knows what she is doing. She was always pleasant, accommodating and always had a smile on her face.
